Good Monday morning my friends! I hope that you all had a super weekend! You probably didn't know it but Todd and I were gone this weekend. We went to a
Weekend to Remember. If you've never been to one and would like to take a weekend to spend time with your spouse, no matter what your relationship may be like, the Weekend to Remember is the way to do it! We came home with some wonderful information and ways to make our marriage even better. I will not fool myself and say that it will be easy to put into play some of the things I've learned but I know that, with God, I can do it! I have to tell you one of my favorite sayings from this weekend. (This is just one thing among MANY!) Instead of arguing, one of the speakers calls it "intense fellowship"...how funny is that?! That is totally what I'm calling it from now on as I really don't like the word argument! LOL!
Anyway, This is the card that I made at the very last moment before leaving for the conference. I really wanted Todd to know that I was looking forward to the weekend. I used
Beate's sketch for this weekend. The sentiment is from House Mouse, the cupcakes from Unity Stamps, and the paper is from ???.
So, I bet you are thinking I'm a pretty good wife right now, huh? Yeah...I pale in comparison to my husband! After I gave him my card he told me that he didn't have time to make or buy me a card and I was certainly okay with that. Well, he was lying (in a good way!). On Saturday morning he left me a card with a package of heart stickers to find. Go ahead say it...awwww...I agree...what a sweetie! I thought that was pretty cool until Saturday night when we went to go to our Sweetheart Dinner and he had a box and card for me. In the box...a beautiful black and white diamond heart necklace! Oh, my goodness...it is so lovely! It looks similar to
THIS. Go Todd, right? But that isn't it! I got another card and a wonderful bar of Ghiradelli dark chocolate with mint filling for the ride home...which I forgot to eat, darn it! Now how is that for a husband? Crafting supplies, jewelry, AND chocolate...seriously! And, NO! You cannot have him! And, Todd...if you are reading this...I love you so much...I'm so glad God gave me you!!!
One other thing about this weekend. We went to this weekend with some friends of ours, Nicole and Scott, and I want to say to them...thank you! I really enjoyed getting to know you guys better! You ROCK!
So, I'm all done with being all sentimental! Please know I will not be posting as much this week as I'll be busy with family, Thanksgiving, and other commitments.
See you soon everyone!
