Good morning friends! The dog got me up at 5:20 this morning...while I am a morning person I am not
that early of a morning person. Ugh!

Oh, well...I guess that gives me more time to get this post up for ya. Yesterday a friend asked me to make a sympathy card for her to give to a friend. I needed to make a couple of them anyway so I, of course, said yes. This is the first of three that I'll be making.
It has been my personal experience that simpler is better when it comes to sympathy cards so I just used a pretty but simple image and my "favorite" sympathy sentiment on the outside. The colors are Baja Breeze and Daffodil Delight and while I thought maybe the Daffodil Delight would be a bit too bright I think this is actually a lovely color combination for a sympathy card.

On the inside I stamped just the top part of the above image and added the inside portion of the sentiment. Again, in my experience it is comforting to read or hear that your loved one will be missed. Remember, time stands still for those grieving and they just can't understand how the rest of the world can go on so the above statement is a comfort. I remember reading all the sympathy cards that came in after Brent died...well, kinda. I remember reading them and putting them aside but when I went back a couple of months later I didn't remember reading most of them the first time so, again in my experience, simple is better.
I need to make another sympathy card for a woman whose husband died recently. They had been married over 60 years! Can you imagine the amount of loneliness she must feel? She grieves her constant companion while I was grieving my future and all the things I'd miss out on by not having Brent in my life. Such different ways to grieve yet still so real and right ways to grieve.
Anyway, look what came via UPS to me last night!
