You're Tweet!

Good morning!  I have been crafting lots recently just haven't taken photos of some of it yet or been able to get it blogged.  I'm working on some cards for a local children's store and want to get a few more made before I photograph them but they are looking cute!

Last night I needed to make a thank you card for our neighbor so I grabbed out the newest stamp club/die club set from The Stamps of Life called birdcage2stamp and got to work.  I knew I wanted to use a sketch so I decided on the sketch for the month from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  Thankfully you don't have to use one of their images to play along!  And this last week's Wonderful Wednesday is Anything Goes...yay!
The papers all come from a very old Taylored Expressions kit and I even used twine on my card which is Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps theme of the week!  I'll also be entering this into the Craft Your Passion Anything Goes Challenge.  Go me!
Inside the card I added some extra cardstock and a little bird from the TSOL set.  It's really cute and I'm excited to give it to my neighbor as a thank you card.

So, I'll be back at making some sample cards for the children's store today...well, after I order the corsage for my son's prom date!

Fun day ahead and I hope you have one too!

make a wish

Good morning friends!  Another day another fun card to show you!  My husband's grandma's birthday is next week so I wanted to make something special for her.  It was between this card and another (which I may still make the other card, too).  As this was coming together I did not love it but after I sponged it, highlighted it with some gel pen and had it all together I decided it is cute!  What do you think?

There isn't a really defined place to write but the blank back side of the cake/plate would be a great space with interfering with the cake design.

So, another question...if you were to purchase this card...how much would you pay for it?

Today is his birthday...

Woohoo, we've got another birthday in the house!  Kyler is turning 17 today!  Yep, holy cow, 17.  He is the youngest of our four and it is hard to believe that he is that old already!  He is growing a little mustache so I thought a mustache card would be cute!

This card shape is called Mustache Lock Card and guess where I got it from...yep, SVG Cutting Files!  The two mustache pieces are supposed to lock together but I wasn't having luck with that so I decided on this instead.  The die cut hat is from Jaded Blossom and the 1,7 are from...I don't remember, had them too long.  Do you love the cute mustache themed birthday sentiments?  Well guess what?  Those are from a set that I won for free from Jaded Blosson this last month!  It is called Love Mustaches.  I know I'll get lots of fun use out of the set in the future, too!  This paper is some super old paper from SU! but they are great guy colors (and Kyler's favorite color is green) so I went with it.

This really was a fun and EASY (the best part) card to make and I love that it fits perfectly in a standard A2 size envelope...yay!  I will be entering this into the Jaded Blossom April Challenge which is to use your favorite stamp!

I Hope you have a wonderful Thursday!

He is Risen!

HE LIVES!!  I hope you and your family are having a wonderful day!  I thought I'd just stop in to show you a box I made just in case you've had the time to sit down and wandered over here to my blog to take a look.  I made this box for a friend of ours.  This cut file is from My Scrap Chick and is called Cross Gift Box and Cards.  My box didn't come out perfectly but I still think it is completely lovely and I can't believe I made it!

The box was pretty easy to put together but I know for the future to make sure the corners are super crisp and accurate on the bottom as the top piece slides all the way in.  I just placed a few pieces of candy inside as the box was really the gift.  I gave it to the recipient yesterday and she seemed to really like it!

That's it for today!  Have a wonderful rest of your weekend!

Almost there...

So, I had a couple of customers purchase some of the bunny treat holders I showed you earlier.  I got to pick the colors so I just a fun selection of colors...
Then this morning I got my bunny boxes done for the kiddos that live here in town.  I have to say...I love these things.  Again, the cut file is from SVG Cutting Files (have I mentioned how much I love their files?  I'll be trying out for their design team the next time they put it out there!) but altered a little as the bunny was made for a tube.  You'll understand when you see if the file and you can see the file HERE if you'd like. There are two boy bunnies and one girl bunny.
The cute gable boxes are from Jaded Blossom HERE.  I thought about adding a sentiment somewhere but decided to leave it be.  I think the are cute and accomplish their use which is to hold candy.

I have just one more thing I'd like to make if I have time...hopefully that will happen tomorrow! If I don't get back here before Sunday I wish you a blessed Easter...

HE IS RISEN!!

Faith...

While back I started following a blog called Elegance and Enchantment.  I find the prints she shares to be super pretty and every Monday she offers a free printable of her work.  This week's print is so pretty that I downloaded it, printed it off and then matted it to fit in the frame I have by the front door of my house.  I just thought I'd share it with you.
So above is what I currently have for Easter. Yes, I change them out for holidays, seasons, and sometimes birthdays too.
This is the print that is currently available from Elegance and Enchantment.  The print itself is 5x7 and I just used several mats to make it an 8x10 size to fit into the frame.  I really love it and can't wait to put it out after Easter.  It will probably stay there until Father's Day.

How are things coming for Easter for you?  I'm not quite ready but should be shortly.  I got all of my fun that needed to mailed taken care of just need to finish up the treats for those in town here.  I will then need to get started on Kyler's birthday card...he's 17 this year!  Crazy!!

Have a beautiful day everyone!
