New stamps....lots of fun!

I know...I know...it's been forever since I've been here.  I've missed blogging but have wanted to use my time in different ways over the last few months.  I've also missed being in my craft room and with a new job (only one job now, yay!) that is a bit more flexible I think I will be able to be crafty more often...woot!  Now, onto my creation for today...

For this card I dipped into my new Stampin' Up! goodies from the 2018 Occasions catalog (like what you see and would like to order?  let me know!).  The stamps I used on the outside of the card are from the new stamp set Magical Day...isn't it fabulous?  The other images in the set are just as good...check it out here!  I used the new SU! Stampin' Blends, SU!'s alcohol markers, and I LOVE them...yes, LOVE them.  They are super easy to work with, blend beautifully, and come in colors to totally match all of Stampin'Up!'s cardstocks and inks, yay!   The designer series paper is called Myths & Magic and as you can see it is super fun!

The outside of the card is the theme it is as the person I'm giving this card too loves Harry Potter and I figure this is a pretty good representation of that.  Inside though, is the reason for the card...a milestone that my coworker and her husband are hitting that is worth celebrating!  The stamps I used for the inside are from the Picture Perfect Birthday set.  So fun, right?

I hope you've had a great week!  I'm going to try and be in my crafty room this weekend so maybe I'll have more to share soon!

A late birthday gift...

So...one of my nieces has a birthday in July.  I like to send her a little something.  Okay, in all honesty I was going to make this gift for my niece for Christmas 2016...it didn't happen so I decided birthday 2017.  It came...it went and the gift was only partially finish SO I decided to finish it so I could give it to her in person here is a few days.  The results are as you see below and I think she will LOVE it!!

My niece...she loves horses and she has one of her own so I thought this "Off to the Races" paper by Graphic 45 would be perfect for her envelope album.  From there I just added papers, embellishments, and love to the album.  She got to go to the Kentucky Derby last year (I think it was last year) which is why I thought this paper would work out.  There are two pull outs for photos for her to place a photo of her horse if she would like to and then a couple of spots for journalling.  I really hope she loves it!  Either way...I'll know soon!

A Cup of Christmas Cheer

Good morning friends!  It's been just over a week since I was here last but that is much better than months in between posts, right?  I mentioned in my last post that I have signed up with SU! so you'd see more SU! projects on the blog and today is the first all SU! card in quite some time.  I hope you enjoy!
This is fun because it is all, yet to be released, new product from the Holiday catalog...well, almost all new product.  I've used the dies from the Coffee Cafe' Photopolymer Bundle as well as the little heart stamp.  New is the Designer Paper, tinsel ribbon, and the sentiment stamps!!  Eek, isn't it all fun and so cute?

Have you started your Christmas cards yet?  Do you do all one type of card or do you all different types of cards to send out?  Have a great day all!

Thanks for all your help!

Good Saturday morning friends!  I know...it has been over a month since I was here last...just where does the time go.  Well, no matter, I'm here now so I'll just show you what I made!
So, in the last month I've gotten a new job.  I've taken the Children's Ministry Director at New Life Kittitas so my days this last week were filled with kids, music, and fun!  Until the beginning of September I'm just 'shadowing' the person who is currently in the position to see how they 'do' their ministry.  Of course I had to make some thank yous for the adults and youth that helped out!  The adults thank yous are a take off of an idea that my Stampin' Up! upline share on her blog the other day.  Instead of coffee I've used Starbucks Refreshers because it has been in the upper 90's low 100's the entire week.  I just used some paper I had in my stash and a Jaded Blossom sentiment and threw these together Thursday night for presentation on Friday.  I will say we added a Starbucks gift card to the back to make it even more fun!
The bags above and below were for the youth helpers.  I didn't want to put too much work into them simply because kids don't appreciate them quite as much as adults do.  I did fill the bags with a ton of candy and they got a Starbucks card as well.  Again, the stamps are from Jaded Blossom and the bags are some I've had in my stash forever and are from SU!
I'm not sure if you caught it or not but I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and will be soon adding a button you can use to hop on over to my SU! store.  I would appreciate your support and will be sending something fun to each person that orders in my first 60 days as a demo!

Thanks for stopping in!  I'll be back soon-ish with some more to share before my son's wedding on the 26th of this month then, hopefully, I'll be back even stronger (posting more often) in September!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Cheers to 5 years!

Yesterday my son and his wife celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary!  Of course, I needed to make them a card so I thought I'd share it with you.
To make this card I used an file from SVG Cutting files for this twisty card...talk about easy to put together!  The sentiment outside is also from SVG Cutting files and is from the May Cut Club bundle.  Papers are from a retired SU! paper pack that includes my favorite SU! color, Rose Red.  I cut the inside letters and heart on my Scan N Cut with files that are in the machine.  The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's Java Time stamp set.  I used that sentiment as they are parents to a three year old and a 17 month old so coffee is important!
I'm linking this up to a couple of challenges, Die Cut Divas: Wedding/Anniversary, Crafts Galore Encore: Anything Goes, Cards TV: Anything Goes, and If You Give A Crafter A Cookie challenge.

I do believe they thought it was a neat card and we had fun watching the kids while they went to a movie and dinner.  Here is to another five years of love, laughter and family for them!

Just around the bend...

Before you know it we will find ourselves at Father's Day weekend so I've worked on a couple of clean and simple cards these last couple of days and I'm happy to say...I'm done!  Woot!

I love how different these cards are and how perfect they are for each of the recipients which is the fun thing about making our own cards.  All three cards are made with SVG files from SVG Cutting Files Cut Club and Kawaii files.  The sentiment and flower dies are from Jaded Blossom.  I just added some stars because dads are stars!  A little bit of gel pen gave the cuts some fun character!

Next up on my list this week is to get a graduation card made.  I have a plan so I just need to get it executed!  Go me!  What are you working on right now?

Almost Birthday Time!

We are quickly approaching my grandson's 3rd birthday so I've been doing a little creating.  A few days ago I saw the We R Memory Keepers pinwheel board on Amazon and I thought they would be fun to make for the grandkids to play with so yesterday I made some pinwheels for the grandkids and their cousins. Check 'em out!

All the pinwheel are 10" and made with two sheets of 8"x8" patterned papers that I've had in my craft room for quite some time...apparently they were waiting just for this time! And what is fun about these pinwheel is when you get the pinwheel attachments they are actually functioning pinwheels...so fun!

Well, there you have it for today!  I hope you have a wonderful last day of your weekend!

A Mother's Day Sunflower

Happy Friday my blogger friends!  It has been a wonderful day here at my house...there was nothing on my calendar today!  I actually got quite a bit done...cleaned up the toy box for the grandkids, vacuumed the living room, washed sheets, made lunch for my hubby, and, my favorite part, I made a Mother's Day card for a friend!
This card features Molly Sunflower from Stamp Anniething.  isn't she just the cutest?  Oh my...I love the images from them!  The paper and embellishments are from Simple Stories and is from the Sunshine & Happiness collection.  I have to tell you...I really love this card!  It is clean, it is simple, and it is super cute!  The card layout is the CAS(E) the Sketch sketch challenge for the week.

I hope you all have an amazing weekend!  If you are a mama...have a wonderful Mother's Day!  If you aren't...spoil that mama!

...during this difficult time.

Good morning friends!  I hope your weekend was wonderful and that you celebrated the resurrection of our Lord with those you love!  I'm back today to share a couple of sympathy cards I made yesterday.  They both have the same layout but use different colors and slightly different 'looks'.  It felt good to be crafty again even though I had to make sympathy cards.  Anyway, here you go:

Both cards were made with three Jaded Blossom stamps sets:  Cross Dies, Paint Splatters 2, Rejoice, and Spring Splatters.  All colors and cardstock are from SU and the insides are currently blank.

I do work today but I need to get a couple of more cards made so I'll be working on those this afternoon.  Hopefully I'll be back to share those cards soon!  Have a lovely Tuesday everyone!

Pow, zap, zoom...

Hello! Happy Spring!  I know I haven't been around much so if you happen to see this...I hope you enjoy!

Today is my youngest son's 19th birthday...yep, 19.  My goodness how the years have flown.  What is super fun is that, while growing and maturing, he is still just a big kid as you can tell from the card I made him.
Truly this is just a clean and simple card with this month's Reverse Confetti sketch as my inspiration.  with a pieced image of one of his favorite show's characters...The Flash.  The svg file is from a past blog hop with SVG Cutting Files and is no longer available though you should head over to their blog to check out their cut club because it is totally fantastic and a trial month is just $5 for a limited time!.  The stamps are from Jaded Blossom's stamp sets So Many Birthdays and Super Hero.

Well, that is it...short and sweet.  I hope, someday, I'll get back to blogging regularly but for now I'll just be popping in now and then.  Take care all!

Custom Notebooks Are Fun To Make!

Yep, it has been a long time since I've been here to share some creativity with you.  I'm back today, though, to show you a st of notebooks that I made for two of my friends to use for the next bible study we will be starting in April.

I bought these 6"x9" notebooks specifically because they have the binding at the top...I thought that would make writing in them for study so much easier!  I used the Illustrated Faith kit called Whatever Is Lovely.  Basically I just chose papers and elements that I thought would look nice together and then personalized it with my friends name.  I also stamped a couple of butterflies from Jaded Blossom's Butterflies stamp set.  The edges have been inked with a grey ink and sponge.  The names were made with Jaded Blossom's Alphabet Dies.  Please note the colors on these notebooks are much brighter in real life...I couldn't get a good pic so I had to do a lot of editing.  I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch to make these, too.
So, there you have it.  I love making little gifts for friends so when they loved them it made my heart happy!  Have a wonderful week everyone!

Miss Kate Cuttable Guest Design Team Post

Well, it is a fun day here on my blog...my day to guest design team for Miss Kate Cuttables!  Last year I used MKC files to make my husbands Anniversary project (you can take a look at that here if you didn't see it - - it is fab if I do say so myself) and this year I've used MKC to make my granddaughter's first birthday decorations!  Let's get to it!

First I must show you the cutie we were celebrating:
That's our sweet Hannah girl!  Her dress is a Princess Birthday dress...so cute!  Now onto my project for MKC today!

So, the above centerpieces were made with the It's Your Special Day and Bee files (I just adore that bee...he has so much personality!).  The flowers and title were printed in color on my printer and then I used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut them out.  I then used glue dots to attach them to the decorative straws.  The bird with balloons and the bee's were cut with my Cameo and then pieced together.  I also attached them to decorative straws.

I used my banner board to make her a little birthday banner, too.  This picture is not the best but you get the idea!

And, she loved her cupcake soooo much!  Her brother wasn't so excited about his cake on his 1st birthday so this totally took us by surprise!

I hope you enjoyed my fun centerpieces and that I gave you a little inspiration.  Make sure to check out the Miss Kate Cuttable blog HERE and the store HERE!

Have a beautiful Friday everyone!

Day 4 MHKDesigns New Release - Fanciful Feathers

Here we are on day four of our new release and today is Fanciful Feathers.

What a fun set this one is, huh?  The feathers are so gorgeous and so many uses for this set and the sentiments.  I went with a little bag for treats:
I've had these bags hanging around my croffice forever so I pulled one out to make this card.  The sentiment is recolored from the set and the paper is actually a pad of Christmas paper but I think it is perfect for a warm little gift for a friend.  A little big of vanilla/gold twine, some enamel dots and it is ready for giving!

Now make sure you hop on over to the MHKDesigns blog for a chance to win not only this gorgeous digital stamp set but all of the sets we'll be releasing this week!  Don't forget that we also have a challenge going on as well...check that out HERE!
