A Cup of Christmas Cheer

Good morning friends!  It's been just over a week since I was here last but that is much better than months in between posts, right?  I mentioned in my last post that I have signed up with SU! so you'd see more SU! projects on the blog and today is the first all SU! card in quite some time.  I hope you enjoy!
This is fun because it is all, yet to be released, new product from the Holiday catalog...well, almost all new product.  I've used the dies from the Coffee Cafe' Photopolymer Bundle as well as the little heart stamp.  New is the Designer Paper, tinsel ribbon, and the sentiment stamps!!  Eek, isn't it all fun and so cute?

Have you started your Christmas cards yet?  Do you do all one type of card or do you all different types of cards to send out?  Have a great day all!

December Documented Day 4

Good Tuesday friends!  Here I am to share with you December Documented Day 4.  Day four's entry is all about our Christmas card.  It took a couple of days to get photos of all of our kids so we could order the cards but we did it!

The cards will be going out in the mail today!  It's a smaller page day in my album and a shorter post here on my blog, too.

Stop back in a little while for Day 1 of the MHKDesigns December release, too!

December Documented Day 3

Here we are at Day 3!

Saturday was just kinda a normal day in my December.  I had a lovely time at the Care Net Volunteer brunch at a local restaurant.  I love getting together with that group of women.  In a day and age where things are so hostile right now it is wonderful to sit with a group of like minded women who love the Lord and all want to encourage Pro Abundant Life!  I count some of the women I volunteer with as some of my closest friends.  The fun lotion and candy we received from the board was super fun too!

Then in the evening we had our neighbor across the street over for tacos and margaritas.  This neighbor has had some health issues this year and for the last couple of months a family member was staying with her (along with her grandson who is going to our local university) to assist her each day...all that to say...we haven't gotten to chat with her much and we missed her!  It was a lovely evening and I'm looking forward to doing it again!

See ya tomorrow for Day 1 of the MHKDesigns December release and Day 4 of my December Documented!

December Documented Wish List and Day 1

Happy Saturday friends!  I'm going to share with you my Wish List and Day 1 in my December Documented.  You may find, as we go along, that I've blurred out certain things I've written or typed and that is just because it is more personal than I want to share in a public forum.  Anyway, here we go!
So the very first 'page' in my book is my wish list...things I 'wish' for this Christmas season.  You'll see that there is nothing on my list that is a commercial item.  The older I get the more I desire experiences and time with family and friends.  It is only December 3rd and I already feel like I'm a bit behind on my list so I feel like I need to make a schedule of sorts so I can get some of these done though I will not pressure myself or feel bad if I don't accomplish something on the list.

So day one I decided to document about our Christmas Tree(s).  We have a new space for our main tree this year.  We decided to put it in our little dining area so that the grandkiddos have more space to play in our living room (which is not large either).  We have also added a little 3' tree just for my 21 Starbucks ornaments...well, 22...I don't have this year's ornament up yet.  ☕
The second part of the first day talks about the Starbucks ornaments and shows my hubby and I putting the tree up which became a mom and dad only event this year.  Todd is amazing at helping out with this task (as I don't really care for decorating the tree...I just want it up) and I love the way it looks.  I also 💕 the way the lights twinkle on the wall when it gets darker in the dining room.

Overall I couldn't be more pleased with the way this album has started.  I'm so pleased to be doing it this year and I'm looking forward to sharing more with you!

MHKDesigns New Relase Day #4

Hello!  And here we are back for day #4 of the October new releases!  Once again, I'm excited to share what I made with you so lets get it going!

Oh my goodness...isn't this set just lovely? It is called Perfect Poinsettia and can be used for so many wonderful projects this Christmas!  Each year one of our local schools sells beautiful poinsettia's as a fund raiser and I always buy three from the first person that asks me.  I keep one for myself and give the other two away.  This tag is going to go on one of the plants that I give away.  For this tag I ran some patterned paper through my printer and then fussy cut it out to make this poinsettia look perfect, I added the perfect sentiment on a banner, used yellow pearls on the inside of the flower, and a little bit of bling to bring it all together.  This was a fun tag to make!

Okay, make sure you head on over to the MHKDesigns blog to check out what the other design team members made and make sure you comment as much as you can on all the blogs for a chance to win the new sets!

MHKDesigns New Release Day #3

Here we are one day #3 of the MHKDesigns new release!  I really love today's set (well, the next three days honestly!) and the card I've made as a sample today!  Ready?

Oh yes! Now we are getting into some fun holiday releases!  I simply adore this wreath and the wonderful things you can make with the set, Wonderful Wreath, and the papers that I've used with it called Deck The Halls!  The wreath is just so beautiful and I love that the bow on the wreath isn't perfectly tied...that would SO be me!

Make sure you hop on over to the MHKDesigns blog to check out what everyone else has made for today's release!  Remember to leave comments everywhere for a chance to win one of the new sets!  See you tomorrow for another fun new set!

A Card Swap Hop!!

Good morning!

I'm here today with a bit of fun!
A few weeks ago, seven of us decided we would do a Christmas/Winter card swap.
It was so much fun to see the different cards come in, that we decided to take it one step
further, and do a blog hop with our swap cards!

This is just for fun...no prizes, but we hope that you are inspired by something
that you see today!

Here is my swap card:

For my card I used the snowman2build set from The Stamps of Life.  It was one of the sets for Die Hard members and I just love that it comes with several additional dies to make your snowman super fun!  For the base of the card I used Basic Step-Ups die also from The Stamps of Life...this die makes it SO easy to make step up cards and also has tons of extra pieces including all the layering pieces, again love that it makes card making so fun.  For the paper and die cut snowflakes I used an old Stampin' Up! Simply Scrappin' kit called Winter Bright...it's perfect, huh?  I just thought this card would be a fun one to send to a friend this winter to let them know they are being thought of.  :)

Now, you can hop along with us, and see what the other folks created!

I do have a couple of more projects I'll be sharing over the next week so I hope you'll subscribe to my blog or come back to check it out!  Just a hint...I simple gift card holder is up next on the blog...tomorrow!

Gift Certificate

First, DEBBY AND STEPHANIE DO NOT READ THIS UNTIL AFTER OUR LUNCH!

Good morning friends!  Lots of fun stuff going on today...well, some fun some not.  I get to have my nails done today...that shellac nails stuff.  I hope it will stay on for a long time!  Then lunch with some friends and then the eye doctor.  I'm actually looking forward to the eye doctor as I've been having some very irritating issues for awhile...yes, I'm getting older and it is getting more and more difficult for me to see up close.  I hope it can all get worked out!
Anyway, I don't typically exchange gifts with friends but there are two that I used to work with (Debby and Stephanie) that we do exchange gifts.  Just something small but usually hand made so this year, since they are amazing crafters and since I'm a SU! demo I am giving them a certificate for $15 off one of my classes (which may make the next class free if they come!) because we haven't had the chance to stamp together in awhile so I thought it would be fun.  I saw this idea of making the gift card holders like this (5.25" x 7") and I think they just turned out darling!

Just so you know... I could make a super cute gift certificate holder for you to give a SU! gift certificate to your friend/loved one.  Just let me know the amount you'd like the gift certificate to be and I'll get to work!

Alright, I'm off to get my day started with a 7:15 a.m. physical therapy appointment with Kyler.  Have a wonderful day! From Millan.Net

Pink and Blue

Okay, so maybe there will be a couple of more posts of Christmas stuff!  I had enough kisses to make two more trees so I went with unconventional colors...fun!
Second verse same as the first directions wise I just used Pretty in Pink and Pacific Point cardstock.  I From Millan.Net the pink one which is not at all shocking considering pink is my favorite color!

So there you go...a short post for today!

A forest of Hershey's!

It's FRIDAY! Woot, woot!  It is good to have a weekend coming up with something fun planned during it.  It is a Rigadoon weekend (our dinner/dance club) so Todd and I get to go spend some time together...yay!  Today I have for you what I think is my last Christmas post (though don't hold your breath as you never know).  I wanted to make something for Kyler to give to his teachers if he wanted to and for his Karate instructors.  These trees are perfect!  I've actually made 9 of them with enough "stuff" left over for two more...I'm going to make those in blue...kinda funky I think.

Anyway, the super easy to follow directions are HERE.  I made all of these in a very short period of time so it is definitely a project you could take on and easily finish in an evening.  Qbee even has 'time saving scoring/cutting guide' if you are going to make more than one included in her directions.  What a gal!

Alright!  I've got lots to do.  I have one more Christmas gift errand to run then a package to get out tomorrow and then I'm done!  Woohoo! From Millan.Net

Have a wonderful weekend!

I know, I know...

Happy Friday!  I know, I know...I said I'd have this for you yesterday but it just didn't happen.  Sorry!  This is the first of a few things I want to make for the PEO auction taking place next month.  If you are impressed I came up with this...don't be.  I bought this fabulous tutorial by Becky Roberts at Inking Idaho.  So worth the $12.95!
So, this set has 4 cards and 4 tags.   The tags are so cute in the shapes of the ornaments and it all matches so nicely!  I actually really like these two cards...I think the cut out are really neat looking!  All products are SU! except the polka dot ribbon on the left ornaments.
And the other two cards are so cute, too.  I love having a tutorial but being able to make it my own by using my own combination of papers.
And this is just a photo of the ornament shaped tags.  They really are just the perfect size for gift tags.

I have lots more to make but I have to take a break from Christmas/auction work and do up my giftties for the Care Net banquet as well as cut about 450 hearts with my Cricut for the dessert decoration for the banquet.

Anyway, today is the high school homecoming game and dance.  Yes, Kyler will be going with a friend that he went to the Christian school with who now goes to a different school.  She would like to be able to see her friends so Kyler was nice enough to say he'd go AND we were nice to say he could because we really didn't want to do it.  He's a freshman and I think that is to young for a dance type of thing but since they are just going as friends then it is okay.

Oh, and I'm considering being a SU! demonstrator again.  There would have to be some changes made on this blog and I would have to drop my design teams but I think I might be doing it.  We shall see.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!  See you soon!
