Thanks for all your help!

Good Saturday morning friends!  I know...it has been over a month since I was here last...just where does the time go.  Well, no matter, I'm here now so I'll just show you what I made!
So, in the last month I've gotten a new job.  I've taken the Children's Ministry Director at New Life Kittitas so my days this last week were filled with kids, music, and fun!  Until the beginning of September I'm just 'shadowing' the person who is currently in the position to see how they 'do' their ministry.  Of course I had to make some thank yous for the adults and youth that helped out!  The adults thank yous are a take off of an idea that my Stampin' Up! upline share on her blog the other day.  Instead of coffee I've used Starbucks Refreshers because it has been in the upper 90's low 100's the entire week.  I just used some paper I had in my stash and a Jaded Blossom sentiment and threw these together Thursday night for presentation on Friday.  I will say we added a Starbucks gift card to the back to make it even more fun!
The bags above and below were for the youth helpers.  I didn't want to put too much work into them simply because kids don't appreciate them quite as much as adults do.  I did fill the bags with a ton of candy and they got a Starbucks card as well.  Again, the stamps are from Jaded Blossom and the bags are some I've had in my stash forever and are from SU!
I'm not sure if you caught it or not but I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and will be soon adding a button you can use to hop on over to my SU! store.  I would appreciate your support and will be sending something fun to each person that orders in my first 60 days as a demo!

Thanks for stopping in!  I'll be back soon-ish with some more to share before my son's wedding on the 26th of this month then, hopefully, I'll be back even stronger (posting more often) in September!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Cheers to 5 years!

Yesterday my son and his wife celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary!  Of course, I needed to make them a card so I thought I'd share it with you.
To make this card I used an file from SVG Cutting files for this twisty card...talk about easy to put together!  The sentiment outside is also from SVG Cutting files and is from the May Cut Club bundle.  Papers are from a retired SU! paper pack that includes my favorite SU! color, Rose Red.  I cut the inside letters and heart on my Scan N Cut with files that are in the machine.  The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's Java Time stamp set.  I used that sentiment as they are parents to a three year old and a 17 month old so coffee is important!
I'm linking this up to a couple of challenges, Die Cut Divas: Wedding/Anniversary, Crafts Galore Encore: Anything Goes, Cards TV: Anything Goes, and If You Give A Crafter A Cookie challenge.

I do believe they thought it was a neat card and we had fun watching the kids while they went to a movie and dinner.  Here is to another five years of love, laughter and family for them!

Just around the bend...

Before you know it we will find ourselves at Father's Day weekend so I've worked on a couple of clean and simple cards these last couple of days and I'm happy to say...I'm done!  Woot!

I love how different these cards are and how perfect they are for each of the recipients which is the fun thing about making our own cards.  All three cards are made with SVG files from SVG Cutting Files Cut Club and Kawaii files.  The sentiment and flower dies are from Jaded Blossom.  I just added some stars because dads are stars!  A little bit of gel pen gave the cuts some fun character!

Next up on my list this week is to get a graduation card made.  I have a plan so I just need to get it executed!  Go me!  What are you working on right now?

...during this difficult time.

Good morning friends!  I hope your weekend was wonderful and that you celebrated the resurrection of our Lord with those you love!  I'm back today to share a couple of sympathy cards I made yesterday.  They both have the same layout but use different colors and slightly different 'looks'.  It felt good to be crafty again even though I had to make sympathy cards.  Anyway, here you go:

Both cards were made with three Jaded Blossom stamps sets:  Cross Dies, Paint Splatters 2, Rejoice, and Spring Splatters.  All colors and cardstock are from SU and the insides are currently blank.

I do work today but I need to get a couple of more cards made so I'll be working on those this afternoon.  Hopefully I'll be back to share those cards soon!  Have a lovely Tuesday everyone!

Pow, zap, zoom...

Hello! Happy Spring!  I know I haven't been around much so if you happen to see this...I hope you enjoy!

Today is my youngest son's 19th birthday...yep, 19.  My goodness how the years have flown.  What is super fun is that, while growing and maturing, he is still just a big kid as you can tell from the card I made him.
Truly this is just a clean and simple card with this month's Reverse Confetti sketch as my inspiration.  with a pieced image of one of his favorite show's characters...The Flash.  The svg file is from a past blog hop with SVG Cutting Files and is no longer available though you should head over to their blog to check out their cut club because it is totally fantastic and a trial month is just $5 for a limited time!.  The stamps are from Jaded Blossom's stamp sets So Many Birthdays and Super Hero.

Well, that is it...short and sweet.  I hope, someday, I'll get back to blogging regularly but for now I'll just be popping in now and then.  Take care all!

Custom Notebooks Are Fun To Make!

Yep, it has been a long time since I've been here to share some creativity with you.  I'm back today, though, to show you a st of notebooks that I made for two of my friends to use for the next bible study we will be starting in April.

I bought these 6"x9" notebooks specifically because they have the binding at the top...I thought that would make writing in them for study so much easier!  I used the Illustrated Faith kit called Whatever Is Lovely.  Basically I just chose papers and elements that I thought would look nice together and then personalized it with my friends name.  I also stamped a couple of butterflies from Jaded Blossom's Butterflies stamp set.  The edges have been inked with a grey ink and sponge.  The names were made with Jaded Blossom's Alphabet Dies.  Please note the colors on these notebooks are much brighter in real life...I couldn't get a good pic so I had to do a lot of editing.  I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch to make these, too.
So, there you have it.  I love making little gifts for friends so when they loved them it made my heart happy!  Have a wonderful week everyone!

Jaded Blossom GDer starting my December Documented

Good morning friends and Happy Saturday!  Today I'm pleased to be the guest designer on the Jaded Blossom blog!  There are always so many things I could make each time I sit down to craft however this December I'll be concentrating quite a lot on my December project called December Documented (AKA December Daily) so I thought I'd use some of the awesome JB Dies and Stamps on my project.  Check it out...

So above is the front of my December Documented album...the inside pages are about 6"x8" and the outside about 8 3/4"x8 3/4".  The album comes with the stripe portion on the side and I've decided to use Simple Stories Classic Christmas paper and embellishments for this project.  I had fun adding my December Documented title to the flags from Flag Dies 2 and the letters/year numbers are from Jaded Blossom's Alphabet Dies.  I've also used Christmas Dies for the candy cane (candy canes are my favorite Christmas candy!) and holly on each corner.

Above is my 'intentions' page although I like the prompt of 'my why' better so I went with that.  Again, the letters are from the Alphabet Dies and the star at the top of the tree from the Star Dies.  I've used the Oh Christmas Tree Stamp and cut it out with my Brother Scan n Cut (love that thing!!).  I've added a strip of washi stamped with one of the Holiday Designer Tapes set and then used the little deer/heart stamp from Holiday Sweater Mug (this was a freebie stamp in November).  All of the papers are from the 6x6 Classic Christmas pad (my 12x12 pad didn't arrive on time to use it for this purpose).  The sweater trim and twine I have in my stash.

So, there you have it!  The beginning of my December Documented album using a ton of Jaded Blossom stamps!

Thank you!

Happy Thursday friends!  I made some thank you cards awhile back and forgot that I've never shared them with you so today is the day!

I used different patterned paper on the cards but the same stamps on each card.  I've used Jaded Blossom's Coffee Break, Party Splatters and the Dream In Color stamp sets as well as the Coffee Dies.

So, pretty easy but I'm happy to have a few left for future thank you card needs.  Thanks for stopping by!

happy birthay

Good morning and happy Saturday!  I hope you have a weekend filled with fun and crafty things!  I'm here this morning to show you a super quick card I made for my daughter-in-law's birthday.
Like me, my daughter-in-law loves Belle from Beauty & The Beast so it was natural I would make a card with Belle for her birthday.  I had procrastinated getting it done (and I'm still kinda in a crafty funk...I think I just need to sit down and be creative to get out of it) so it is a very clean, very simple card but I know I like it and I think she did too!

The image of Belle is from Jaded Blossom's set called Enchanted and a birthday sentiment from the So Many Birthday's set and the papers from a digi set of B&TB papers I got from etsy.  I love that the yellow paper is a foreshadow of who Belle is about to become. I used sketch 17 from Paper Play Sketches for this card, too.

Okay...I also want to tell you that tomorrow starts our five days of releases at MHKDesigns and I have some fabulous sets to share with you so I hope you'll stop back by!

happy birthday

Good morning friends!  I know that, once again, it has been awhile since I've been here.  I've been going through a little bit of a crafting funk but I think it is getting better which is why I'm here to share with you today.

My niece is having a birthday in about a week so I wanted to make her a card.  She is turning 21!!  I can hardly believe it!  She is attending the Air Force Academy in Colorado so I tried to make the card center around that.
The Air Force colors are blue and grey so I went with that color scheme.  The image is Liberty - Super Girl (because you know...all of our military members are super heroes!) from Stamp AnnieThing.  The papers are from Doodle Bug Design and are from a couple of different packs.  I've used dies from Jaded Blossom for her party hat, rectangle cuts, and flag.  The happy birthday sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's So Many Birthdays 2 set (40% off stamps at JB right now!).  Liberty and AF logos you see I cut with my  new Brother CutNScan...that machine is amazing!  Due to the hat and flag hanging off the side of the card I made an envelope that is 5"x6" to make sure nothing gets all bent up.  The sketch is a little altered but I used the Kraftin' Kimmie sketch for the month.

Well, there you have it!  I'm excited to do some more crafting today and be able to share it soon.  You'll want to keep stopping back as I've finished creating for the MHKDesigns new release later this month and the images/sentiments are just fabulous!

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone!

Customer Challenge time at Jaded Blossom

Good morning and happy Green Bay Packers play today day!!  Yep, we are serious Green Bay fans living in enemy territory but we are super excited because we will actually get to see the game today...yay!

That isn't why I stopped by today though so I'll move onto that!  Today I'm sharing a card that I made for the Jaded Blossom Customer Challenge for this month which is use their dies.  Well that is easy now isn't it?  Here you go:
So for this card I used paper from Echo Park Paper called Teacher's Pet.  The dies I've used on this card from Jaded Blossom are the School Dies (pencil, paper clip, and spiral notebook edge die), Card Mat Dies and the Alphabet Dies.  Super cute and super fun to put together!

That's it for today so I hope you have a wonderful day AND that you will take a moment to reflect on where our country stands 15 years after a tragedy brought us all together AND what we can each do to make the world a better place.

You're Invited!

Good morning friends!  My time has just been taken up with fair 'stuff' so I haven't had much time to create BUT I had to play along with Stamp Anniething's monthly theme week which is to create something inspired by a movie, character, song, brand, etc so with the new Beauty & The Beast Live Action movie coming out in March I thought I'd make a card inspired by Belle.
I've used Stamp Anniething's Paige - Sugar & Spice image.  Then, because I love B&TB so much anyway I went to Etsy and found some B&TB papers to make my card and then popped Belle up on some foam dots so she really stands out.  I followed an old sketch and turned this card into an invitation using Jaded Blossom's new Invitation Galore set.

Well, that is it for me for today!  The fair officially starts today so I'll be over there several times helping out with 'barn duty' which is just making sure nothing in the Home Arts building gets destroyed during the fair.  Have a wonderful day!

For my host...

I've started a new career with The Traveling Vineyard, a wonderful company that brings wine tasting experience to your home so you can enjoy the experience with family and friends.  I want to give my hosts a special little something for inviting everyone into their home so I made these fun wine tags.
I'll be telling them to place the tag on their last bottle of Traveling Vineyard wine so when they open that last bottle they have my contact information at their finger tips  so they can re-order their favorites!

I typed up my contact info in Word on my computer and used the following products to make these tags. I used Jaded Blossom's Wine Tag Die, Party Splatter stamps, Wine-O'Clock stamps, and SVG Cutting Files Kawaii Wine Glasses file.  The wine glasses are made with a clear sheet of acetate for a more realistic-ish look.  Seriously they turned out so much better than I thought they would!

Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Wishes

Happy Wednesday friends!  How is your week going?  Wednesday always makes a person feel good, huh? Today I'm sharing a card and a fun little decoration that I put together for a Jazzercise friend's birthday.
Our friend, Leslie, turned 50 on Monday and we decided we'd make a big deal of her birthday last Friday because she wasn't going to be at Jazzercise on Monday.  I made the above card for her with a big 'ole butterfly because one of her care givers told me that she really likes butterflies.  The butterfly on the card is a cut from Miss Kate Cuttables, the sentiment and clouds are from Jaded Blossom, and the sun burst card base is from Reverse Confetti.  I added some white gel pen highlighting to the clouds, sunburst, and even some of the colors on the butterfly wings.
I also cute some 4" and 5" butterflies so all the other Jazzy friends could write her a birthday wish then I attached some twine and hung them on the counter with scotch tape.  I think they look so bright, festive, and pretty!

Well, there you have it!  Sometimes it is the little things, like butterflies, that really make a celebration fun!  Have a wonderful day everyone!

Baby Mine

Happy New Week!  Last Wednesday evening I had the chance to go to a baby shower for a sweet friend of mine who is pregnant with her second child which will make two girls for them!  So fun!  Of course I needed to make a spectacular card for her so I thought I'd share it here too!
Talk about a true paper crafted card...this one is it!  There is only a tiny bit of stamping on the inside of the card while everything else has been made with paper and my Cameo.  Very fun!  The file I used for this card is from Miss Kate Designs.  The elephant is my favorite animal so it was a natural for me to choose these sweet images.  The papers are from a Jack and Jill paper stack and I've added some twine and sequins to finish off the outside of the card.
Inside I've used a swirl SVG from the same file as the elephants and added a sentiment from Jaded Blossom and some hearts.  I love the way it makes the inside super special!  This card is also larger at 5"x5" but I just had to get those cute elephants on the card ya know!

Well, there it is!  Please note that next week I won't post as much but that doesn't mean I've stopped sharing just that I will be busy.  Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Happy Brithday Emily!

Happy Friday!  Woohoo...we made it through another week!  A friend of mine is turning 10 on Monday so, of course, I had to make her a card.  After discussing with her mom what her favorite activities are I settled on using a uber cute Stamp Anniething image.  Check it out:
The layout is the current Sketch Saturday layout.  I really love this one too and may use it more.  The papers are from SU! and the sentiment is from Jaded Blossom.  Since I won't be able to see her on her actual birthday we all had lunch today and my friend really loved the card (and the gift card for froyo inside, too) and it totally looks like her.  She laughed when I told her the 'pants' are LuLaRoe leggins and a skirt...lol!  She LOVES LLR!

Well, there you have it!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Hot, hot, hot!

Good morning!  I'm back today to share with you a fun card that I made for my husband.  Yes, I like to make cards and such for my hubby.  He appreciates the work that goes into them and I love doing it for him!
For this adorable card I used an MHK Designs set called Eat Your Veg! and the coordinating papers Glorious Garden.  The layout is from this week's Freshly Made Sketches blog which I used because I thought a clean and simple layout would work well for this chili pepper!  I've added a pair of lips from the Jaded Blossom set called Heart Splatters, some Trendy Twine in black and a couple of flat black sequins to dress it up a bit.

In addition to linking this card up at the sketch blog I'm also adding this card to the following challenges:

A Bit More Time To Craft - Anything Goes
Fantasy Stampers - Clean & Simple

Thank you for stopping by today!  I love your comments...they keep me blogging!

Jaded Blossom Customer Challenge Time!!

Welcome back!  Today I'm sharing with you a project that I've made for the Jaded Blossom Customer Challenge.  July's challenge is a big deal as July is their customer appreciation month and the challenge projects are up for some pretty great prizes!  Check that all out HERE!  Also, since I used so many different JB stamp sets I'm not going to link you to each individual set but rather the store HERE.  I've also used the Alphabet Dies set for any numbers and letters that you see.  Finally, all SVG files are from SVG Cutting Files.   My hubby is going to be gone for some training and I usually make a card for him for each day that he is going to be gone.  This time I decided to put them all into one project...an accordion file folder (you can find the directions for scoring and such on Splitcoaststampers).  Are you ready?  I believe I have nine photos of my project and each one of them includes Jaded Blossom of some sort!  Here we go:
Above is the front of the accordion file folder.  I started out with a fun set called Science Matters.  I actually followed a Mojo Monday sketch for a tall and skinny card for the layout on the front.  The sticker embellishments are from the paper pack that I used which is a long retired SU! simply scrappin' kit.  I'm tying the folder together with a piece of yellow/white twine just tied in a bow.  It should make it super easy for my hubby to get into the folder.
Above is what he'll see when he first opens the folder.  You can see that I've added the date on which  he should pull each panel out and read what I've written.
The far left panel is the first he'll pull out and is made with the Sweet Travels and United States Map.  I've used the fabulous SVG file that JB provides for their image stamps to make the US outline.  I've added a fun pull piece with a tab that says Limited Edition.
The panel above is my favorite.  I've used the Protect and Serve set (I've also used that set on the pocket that the panel fits in.), a heart from the Heart Splatters set, and a couple of SVG files from SVG Cutting Files.  On a personal note...I'll probably write something about his '6' being cute...lol!
The next panel uses the set Olive you.  Not a whole bunch of explanation is needed here, is there?
And the last panel on the inside which is the far right and uses the set Cheesy Pick Ups 3, the heart from the United States Map set, and (both on the panel and the pocket) SVG's from SVG Cutting Files.
Because I needed one more spot for the day before he comes home I've added a pocket to the back panel that I decorated with the date and a fun little 'love you!'.  I've used yellow here because yellow is my hubby's favorite color.  The dot on the exclamation point is a flat gold sequin.
The final set I've used on this little note card is a freebie from some time ago called You're My Butter Half.  The red hearts don't really match but I have to use red when I make hearts...it is the only way my brain will let me do it!
Here is what the back looks like.  I've added a spot to put my name and the year that I made this for him.

So...there you have it!  What do you think?  I have to say I'm about as proud of this project as I am of the project that will be posted on Friday (it is awesome, too...make sure you stop back or subscribe to my blog so that you see it!).  I really think my hubby will be blown away by the thought and work that went into making this and you know what?  He deserves it...he works hard for us, for his department, and for the people of the University and town we live in!!

I love your comments so please feel free to leave one!  See you here on Friday!!
