Christmas Treats Bear and my Coffee Center

Good morning!  I can hardly believe today is the day before Thanksgiving!  Time to check the recipes, make sure I have everything and figure the cooking schedule out, huh?  On Facebook I belong to a group Coffee Loving Papercrafters.  Yes, it is everything coffee, tea, cocoa and papercrafts.  A couple of weeks ago we posted photos of our coffee centers and I noticed that some people had some lovely wall art by their coffee center and I thought to myself...Lorie, you can make something to go on the wall by your Keurig center so...I did.  And here it is:

Say hello to Christmas Treats Bear.  I purchased this file from KaDoodle Bug Designs forever ago and just knew she would be adorable for my coffee center.  She is almost 8"x8" in size and is just the cutest thing, don't you agree?  All paper used on this project is from AC Cardstock which is my favorite for paper piecing projects.
And here is a photo of my Keurig center with Christmas Bear on the wall.  I know it isn't much but it sure makes me happy.  I'm sure over time I will refine what I want to put on the wall back there but for now I think she is adorable!  As a side note...that piece of wood there?  My son made that for me in his shop class a few years ago so I though it a perfect addition!

I'll be entering this little project into the following challenges:  Craft Your Passion Challenge which is anything goes, Quirky Crafts Challenges which is anything Christmas.

Well, I hope you have a wonderful day!  I'll be back on Friday with my first PDE Linky Party link up!

You're My Friendosaurus

My hubby and I got to spend some time in my favorite little tourist town about an hour away on Monday.  It's a little Bavarian themed town with lots of fun shops to go in and out of, wonderful food and a beautiful setting.  I saved some money from our yard sale the previous weekend so I could purchase *something* if I found it.  Well, I found it!  I got myself and a friend a quilted flower apron.  It is beautiful and I love it so much!  I know, I know...what does friendosaurus have to do with it, right?  Well, the card I made to go with the apron for my friend has a dino on it!  Check it out!
So, there is that cute little dino!  I just love it!  The dino is from KaDoodle Bug Designs and it looks like it is retiring soon so if you like this dino get on over there and pick it up!  There are a total of seven files in Cute Little Dino and on sale for 75¢!! The card layout is from SVG Cutting Files and the sentiment is from Jaded Blossoms using one of the sets I got in the recent huge sale they had.  It's called Dinotastic and I used my new Boarder Dies from Jaded Blossom for the pieces that the dino is 'stepping' on.
And above here is the apron I got for myself.  I love (again) the scallops and the big pretty, bright flowers.

Yesterday was Amazon Prime Day...they touted it as a HUGE sale better than black Friday but I think most Prime members were seriously disappointed. I missed a fab deal on the blender I've been wanting but I got an amazing deal on the Instant Pot that I've been drooling over for awhile.  Yay!  Now to find lots and lots of recipes for it.  I think it could save a ton of time in the kitchen!  How about you?  Did you get something you'd been hoping for?

It's graduation time!!

I don't know about you but we definitely know several people that are graduating high school this year and one college graduation!  Very fun and exciting!  Kyler played drums in the band last night for the high school graduation and came home all excited because even though he has one week left in his junior year he is an honorary senior now...woohoo!  I'm excited for him too...it is a really exciting time in a young persons life!  Now onto showing you a couple of cards that I have made.  I still need to make one more today but I'll share that another day.  Here you go...
The above card is a cut file from the Silhouette store and is really quite large at over 6x6...in the envelope it is huge but I'm not going to mail it so it should be fine! The blue is the school color so that makes it a little more personal. It does have a 5x5 card attached to the back to write in as well.

The above card is for the college graduate.  I have to tell you I adore this card!!  It is a cutie file from KaDoodle Bug Designs (that I actually think I might have gotten for free though it is now just $1).  I found the branch file in the Silhouette store and it came with the flowers and leave so it was pretty much all set for me.  I made this one at 5x5 as several people will be signing it.  This mish mash of paper is from several different manufacturers...SU!, AC Cardstock, and A Muse Studio.  Seriously, this cutie makes me smile!

So, that is it!  Today I will be making another graduation card and a birthday card for sure.  Possibly a Christening card as well..depends on how much time I have.  I hope you all have a beautiful day!
