Cheers to 5 years!

Yesterday my son and his wife celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary!  Of course, I needed to make them a card so I thought I'd share it with you.
To make this card I used an file from SVG Cutting files for this twisty card...talk about easy to put together!  The sentiment outside is also from SVG Cutting files and is from the May Cut Club bundle.  Papers are from a retired SU! paper pack that includes my favorite SU! color, Rose Red.  I cut the inside letters and heart on my Scan N Cut with files that are in the machine.  The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's Java Time stamp set.  I used that sentiment as they are parents to a three year old and a 17 month old so coffee is important!
I'm linking this up to a couple of challenges, Die Cut Divas: Wedding/Anniversary, Crafts Galore Encore: Anything Goes, Cards TV: Anything Goes, and If You Give A Crafter A Cookie challenge.

I do believe they thought it was a neat card and we had fun watching the kids while they went to a movie and dinner.  Here is to another five years of love, laughter and family for them!

Just around the bend...

Before you know it we will find ourselves at Father's Day weekend so I've worked on a couple of clean and simple cards these last couple of days and I'm happy to say...I'm done!  Woot!

I love how different these cards are and how perfect they are for each of the recipients which is the fun thing about making our own cards.  All three cards are made with SVG files from SVG Cutting Files Cut Club and Kawaii files.  The sentiment and flower dies are from Jaded Blossom.  I just added some stars because dads are stars!  A little bit of gel pen gave the cuts some fun character!

Next up on my list this week is to get a graduation card made.  I have a plan so I just need to get it executed!  Go me!  What are you working on right now?

Pow, zap, zoom...

Hello! Happy Spring!  I know I haven't been around much so if you happen to see this...I hope you enjoy!

Today is my youngest son's 19th birthday...yep, 19.  My goodness how the years have flown.  What is super fun is that, while growing and maturing, he is still just a big kid as you can tell from the card I made him.
Truly this is just a clean and simple card with this month's Reverse Confetti sketch as my inspiration.  with a pieced image of one of his favorite show's characters...The Flash.  The svg file is from a past blog hop with SVG Cutting Files and is no longer available though you should head over to their blog to check out their cut club because it is totally fantastic and a trial month is just $5 for a limited time!.  The stamps are from Jaded Blossom's stamp sets So Many Birthdays and Super Hero.

Well, that is it...short and sweet.  I hope, someday, I'll get back to blogging regularly but for now I'll just be popping in now and then.  Take care all!

Foxy Thang

Good morning friends!  Now that Labor Day is over I hope to get back into my normal schedule of posting at least three or four times a week...starting today!  Today I'm sharing a fun new digital set with you from Imagine That Digistamps called Foxy Thang.  Here is a preview of the set:
Super fun images and sentiments, huh?  How about I share the card I made with the girl fox image?
I seriously love the facial expression of the image...so cute!  I just wanted a birthday card so I added a birthday sentiment from the Flower Basket set to the bottom of the main image panel.  The card layout is from SVG Cutting files.

I used this card as the finished card in my fair decoration:
Well, there you have it...I hope you have a fantastic day and I'll be back soon!

It's Almost Fair Time

Good Saturday morning friends!  I'm so sorry I've been away for awhile but this is fair/rodeo organizing and planning week.  Since I'm the superintendent for the Stamping and Scrapbooking area I've been busy getting that organized.  I decided to go as all out as I could on my decorations/education piece for my area this year and thought I'd share it with you all!
My area is a small area as entries have gone down drastically in the last several years however this year they are actually up from last year...yay!  My display is 9' x 5'.  The theme for the fair is there's magic in the fair and the official fair poster has magical pumpkins and a wand so I just incorporated that into my piece.  The pumpkins and magical word are files from Miss Kate Cuttables and the wand, scrapbook page layout, and card layout are from SVG Cutting Files
Here is a view from a little further away.  I have sparkles on the end of my behemoth of a display stand and twinkle lights on top of it.  This display took lots of time and some help from my hubby to put it together and get it up there.  (I fell directly on my knees a couple of weeks ago so I can't kneel down.)

I'm hoping everyone who walks through our building will love the display and be inspired to try something crafty. Well, I'm off to do some other volunteering today so I must run.  Have a great weekend everyone!

For my host...

I've started a new career with The Traveling Vineyard, a wonderful company that brings wine tasting experience to your home so you can enjoy the experience with family and friends.  I want to give my hosts a special little something for inviting everyone into their home so I made these fun wine tags.
I'll be telling them to place the tag on their last bottle of Traveling Vineyard wine so when they open that last bottle they have my contact information at their finger tips  so they can re-order their favorites!

I typed up my contact info in Word on my computer and used the following products to make these tags. I used Jaded Blossom's Wine Tag Die, Party Splatter stamps, Wine-O'Clock stamps, and SVG Cutting Files Kawaii Wine Glasses file.  The wine glasses are made with a clear sheet of acetate for a more realistic-ish look.  Seriously they turned out so much better than I thought they would!

Thanks for stopping by!

Jaded Blossom Customer Challenge Time!!

Welcome back!  Today I'm sharing with you a project that I've made for the Jaded Blossom Customer Challenge.  July's challenge is a big deal as July is their customer appreciation month and the challenge projects are up for some pretty great prizes!  Check that all out HERE!  Also, since I used so many different JB stamp sets I'm not going to link you to each individual set but rather the store HERE.  I've also used the Alphabet Dies set for any numbers and letters that you see.  Finally, all SVG files are from SVG Cutting Files.   My hubby is going to be gone for some training and I usually make a card for him for each day that he is going to be gone.  This time I decided to put them all into one project...an accordion file folder (you can find the directions for scoring and such on Splitcoaststampers).  Are you ready?  I believe I have nine photos of my project and each one of them includes Jaded Blossom of some sort!  Here we go:
Above is the front of the accordion file folder.  I started out with a fun set called Science Matters.  I actually followed a Mojo Monday sketch for a tall and skinny card for the layout on the front.  The sticker embellishments are from the paper pack that I used which is a long retired SU! simply scrappin' kit.  I'm tying the folder together with a piece of yellow/white twine just tied in a bow.  It should make it super easy for my hubby to get into the folder.
Above is what he'll see when he first opens the folder.  You can see that I've added the date on which  he should pull each panel out and read what I've written.
The far left panel is the first he'll pull out and is made with the Sweet Travels and United States Map.  I've used the fabulous SVG file that JB provides for their image stamps to make the US outline.  I've added a fun pull piece with a tab that says Limited Edition.
The panel above is my favorite.  I've used the Protect and Serve set (I've also used that set on the pocket that the panel fits in.), a heart from the Heart Splatters set, and a couple of SVG files from SVG Cutting Files.  On a personal note...I'll probably write something about his '6' being cute...lol!
The next panel uses the set Olive you.  Not a whole bunch of explanation is needed here, is there?
And the last panel on the inside which is the far right and uses the set Cheesy Pick Ups 3, the heart from the United States Map set, and (both on the panel and the pocket) SVG's from SVG Cutting Files.
Because I needed one more spot for the day before he comes home I've added a pocket to the back panel that I decorated with the date and a fun little 'love you!'.  I've used yellow here because yellow is my hubby's favorite color.  The dot on the exclamation point is a flat gold sequin.
The final set I've used on this little note card is a freebie from some time ago called You're My Butter Half.  The red hearts don't really match but I have to use red when I make hearts...it is the only way my brain will let me do it!
Here is what the back looks like.  I've added a spot to put my name and the year that I made this for him.

So...there you have it!  What do you think?  I have to say I'm about as proud of this project as I am of the project that will be posted on Friday (it is awesome, too...make sure you stop back or subscribe to my blog so that you see it!).  I really think my hubby will be blown away by the thought and work that went into making this and you know what?  He deserves it...he works hard for us, for his department, and for the people of the University and town we live in!!

I love your comments so please feel free to leave one!  See you here on Friday!!

Sweet and Grateful

Good morning friends!  Here I am back for my Great Impressions Stamps post for the week.  This super sweet image is called F635 Dog and Cat Eating Watermelon.  I made this card to be super fun, bright, and cheerful so I used bright colors and, hopefully, made it full of warmth and gratefulness too.
I used a card sketch from SVG Cutting Files to make this card so I just placed my chosen cardstock on my Cameo mat, cut it on my Cameo, cut a couple of more fun elements with some dies and my Big Shot and then put it all together.

Well, that is what I have to share with you today! Thank you for stopping by and make sure you hop on over to the Great Impressions blog to check out and play along with our current challenge!

PDE Linky Party

Welcome back to PDE Linky Party day here on my blog!  I'm excited to share my project with you so lets get started!

It's that time of year again when we get the chance to celebrate the accomplishments of our graduates.  At my house I have a son graduating high school and that means, of course, we know several people that will be graduating too.  That said a friend of mine has a daughter that is graduating from medical school and will move on to the East Coast for her residency as a surgeon...very exciting!  This girl's husband is also graduating as a pediatric nurse practitioner so my friend asked me to make some personalized cards for the graduates.  I happily accepted and these cards are the result!
First you see the surgeon card that I made for my friend's daughter.  We are all pretty proud of her!  The base of both cards is from SVG Cutting files and is Base Kit A.  Then I used the Doctor's Medical Add On for both of the images uniforms. We really wanted the surgeon to have a cap on so I just cut the hair again and then trimmed the hair to look like a skull cap.  That is a little knife in her hand that was made from the syringe file in the Medical Add On.

The doctor coat and stethoscope are also from the add on file.  I really loved how quickly both of these files went together!  I did forget to do some highlighting on our nurse practitioner but I added it later.  Oh, and the size of these cards is 5"x7".

Well, there you have it!  I hope you'll check out what all of the design team had to show off for the linky party and link up your own projects!

Some bunny...

Good morning friends! Welcome to another fun challenge with Great Impressions Stamps!
Tis the season for all of those fun bunny and spring images and we'd love to see them all!  I've chosen a super cute new bunny to use for this challenge:
The very cute Dreaming Bunny (G532) and the adorable Bunny Loves You (D518) are perfect for that springtime card!  Great Impressions Stamps also has an awesome Cloud Stencil Kit that I used for the clouds in the background.  Talk about easy to use!  Check it out HERE!  The card layout is a Sketch from SVG Cutting Files and is so perfect for my dreaming bunny in the clouds don't you think?  I've added a touch of twine for that bow and it makes the best and cutest clean and simple card, don't you think?

To play along with our challenge this month please head over to the page HERE and link it up so we can see!  Don't forget if you use a Great Impressions Stamp to link it up to our customer gallery HERE as well!

Bonfires Kinda Freak Me out!

Hello friends!  It is Tuesday and I'm back to show you a fun and quirky birthday card that I made with a couple of fabulous Great Impressions stamps!
You know how...every now and then you make a card that just makes you giggle?  Well, for me, this is one of those cards!  I'm from Wisconsin so the cow is totally hilarious and the implications that even the cow is a bit afraid of those candles is just too, too funny!  For this card I used Holy Cow E828 and Freak Me Out! E887.  The Freak Me Out! sentiment is actually one piece but I can see myself using it as two separate sentiments so I just cut it apart.  I've used some SU! paper and a card sketch from SVG Cutting Files for the layout.
Can you see how this card made me giggle, a lot?!?  Well, I hope you enjoyed this fun card and it gave you some inspiration!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I would love to you to join us for our monthly challenge!  If you use a stamp from the Great Impressions online store, please link it up in our Customer gallery, too!

Good times in the sun...

Happy Monday all!  I hope you had a fabulous weekend!  I got to do some newborn holding this last week of both my new granddaughter and a friends new little boy.  Ahhh...that is so wonderful!

Today I'm here to share my last project with you for my month of being the Guest Designer with Jaded Blossom.  It sure has been fun creating for JB this month and I want to thank Candace, Michelle, and Jamie for being so patient with me this month!  Onto my project:
I have a friend that is headed to Hawaii this week and she is taking her two oldest grandchildren with her so I thought I'd make her a fun little vacation card.  The papers I used an old SU! Simply Scrappin' kit and for the fabulous stamps and images I used the following Jaded Blossom products:  the stamp set Aloha and the sun is actually part of a sun that I made for another card with the Spring Dies 2 set and the new Spring Splatters stamp set.  I also used card sketch 23 from SVG Cutting Files for my card layout.
Inside I used several of the other sentiments from the Aloha set because I couldn't decide on just one because really...you do it all on vacation in Hawaii, right?

Thanks so much for stopping by during my time with Jaded Blossom and I hope I'll see you back here real soon!

Furry Christmas

Good morning!  I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!  Mine was truly a day filled with fun, family, and friends!  It was so much fun having our grandson here and watching him interact with everyone and everything...truly a miracle on legs! I apologize for being gone so long...first Christmas and now I have a head cold which is getting better...yay!

I thought I'd share a fun card I made for Christmas with you guys.  As you may know I volunteer at my local Care Net Pregnancy Center and next door to us is a comic book shop.  The owner of the shop has a Pug, Modo, that goes everywhere with him and so we wanted to give the owner a little gift and I wanted to make him this card:
Uh, huh...go ahead and say it...that is so cute!  I agree!  I was so pleased with how this turned out!  The pug is a file from SVG Cutting Files and I used the following products from Jaded Blossom:  Season's Tweetings, Card Mat Dies, Dimensional Banner Dies, and the Scallop Slider & Topper Die.  The patterned paper is from Doodlebug Designs.

I'm going to link this up to Hiding In My Craft Room's challenge which is Freestyle.

Treats for the neighbors...

Merry Christmas Eve everyone!  We have a ton a snow at our house...more than enough for me!   Will you have a white Christmas?
Today we are going to deliver some treats to the neighbors that I made.  This wonderful popcorn sleeve is from SVG Cutting files and includes the belly band and holly.  Kinda fun, right?  The little tag is a print and cut that I got from the Silhouette store.
I extend the wishes on the treats to you all!  Have a very Merry Christmas!

I'll be entering this into Creative Knockouts Challenge #121 - Christmas Delight

Cute Christmas Gift Idea!

Good morning!  Crazy  how time flies when you are looking forward to things, right?  Christmas, time with my family, all the good stuff December brings!  Today I'm here to show you some fun EOS holders I made.  Being that Kyler is in high school now I have let him decide if he wants me to do anything for his teachers...sometimes its a yes, sometimes it is a no...I even let him chose which teachers but this year he wanted something for all his teachers so I presented him with some ideas and he chose these EOS holders for the female teachers (three of them).

One of these Santa's I've already give as a gift for a gift exchange but my son will get to chose which teachers get the snowmen and which get the Santa.  Aren't these just the most fun?!  Some patterned paper and embossing folders pump up the cuteness level for sure!
Mr. Frosty here got some black twine and a couple of frosty sequins from the Frosty Sequins mix at Annie's Paper Boutique which is where you get the Trendy Twine that is used here.  The EOS cut files are at SVG Cutting Files and truly make a fun, and easy, gift!

I'll be entering my cuties in the following linkys/challenges:

Not Just Cards - Anything Goes
Creative Cards Crew - Holiday Season
Hiding In My Craft Room - Christmas Colors
As You See It - Santa Claus

Have a wonderful Friday friends!  I'll be back on Monday!
