A few more cards for ya...

Thought I'd share the other Mother's Day cards I made.  This first one I made for our daughter-in-love.  It is her first official Mother's Day with William being not quite a year.  I really love how this flower pot came out! The flower pot cut file is from My Scrap Chick.
The bike card below was for my dad's wife, Eva.  Even though she can't ride her bike right now (after a bad fall and shoulder injury this winter) I know she loves to ride and that this would make her smile! The bike image and dies are from The Stamps of Life.
And finally a card for an in town special friend of mine who is an amazing example of what a Godly mother is supposed to be!  This image, sentiment, and paper is from Stampin' Up!
I really loved making all my Mother's Day cards and now I need to get started on Father's Day!!

Mother's Day is coming soon!

I had a very successful day in my croffice (craft room + office = croffice) so I thought I'd share a couple of cards with you!!  Three of the four cards I made use the same Stampin' Up! set called Sweet Laughter including the two I'm showing you.  Both of these cards were made with cardstock I've had for ages but someone it still totally fit the card and the recipient which is why I love crafting, it is so much fun to make things that are personal to the recipient!!

On the exciting news front - - I became a Stampin' Up! demonstrator a couple of weeks ago and yesterday I got to pre-order from the new 2015/2016 catalog that is due out in a month...woohoo!  I'm looking forward to sharing the new in-colors and stamps that I got with you!!  In case you are interested there are weekly sale items and this week the Gift Box Punch Board (I used the board to make all the boxes for Valentine's Day) is on sale this week!!  I encourage you to go check it out if you love a great deal!!

Next I'll be working on decorations for my grandson's birthday party in June.  I can't wait to show you!!

Today is his birthday...

Woohoo, we've got another birthday in the house!  Kyler is turning 17 today!  Yep, holy cow, 17.  He is the youngest of our four and it is hard to believe that he is that old already!  He is growing a little mustache so I thought a mustache card would be cute!

This card shape is called Mustache Lock Card and guess where I got it from...yep, SVG Cutting Files!  The two mustache pieces are supposed to lock together but I wasn't having luck with that so I decided on this instead.  The die cut hat is from Jaded Blossom and the 1,7 are from...I don't remember, had them too long.  Do you love the cute mustache themed birthday sentiments?  Well guess what?  Those are from a set that I won for free from Jaded Blosson this last month!  It is called Love Mustaches.  I know I'll get lots of fun use out of the set in the future, too!  This paper is some super old paper from SU! but they are great guy colors (and Kyler's favorite color is green) so I went with it.

This really was a fun and EASY (the best part) card to make and I love that it fits perfectly in a standard A2 size envelope...yay!  I will be entering this into the Jaded Blossom April Challenge which is to use your favorite stamp!

I Hope you have a wonderful Thursday!

With Heartfelt Sympathy

I had an occasion to make another sympathy card the other day.  I grabbed an old SU! set that I've had for ages as I like the flowers on this one.  I then searched for a sketch that would work and tweaked it just a bit.  Using some old designer series paper the card came together pretty quickly.
The stamp set doesn't come with butterflies but the white space was driving me crazy so I punched some out and added them.  I'm pretty pleased with how this one came out (could have made the sympathy sentiment panel a little smaller but...) and I'm sure the family will appreciate that we thought of them.

Not much going on today...hubby is still recuperating from his surgery and I'm sure that is going to take awhile.  I'm staying close by until after his follow up doctor appointment tomorrow and depending on what the doc says then I'll start back into my regular routine and he will have to find something to occupy himself with for a few weeks until he can go back to work.  I love having him home but he can be hard to keep down!  LOL!!

Anyway, have a beautiful day everyone!  Smiley from Millan.Net

Hump Daaay

Good morning!  I've got more candy bags to show you today!  These are for that famous day of the week that everyone seems to need some help getting over...Hump Daaay!  I saw these little stamps on the Jaded Blossoms website and just had to have them.
I used the same little kit as I did the other day just changed out the stamp on the front.  I think it works out just fine and I'm sure they recipient (not sure who yet) will love them too!  I actually just ordered some more candy stamps for Christmas that I hope they get out to me first thing this week so I still have time to use them...we shall see!

Today I'll be making a birthday card for a special friend so I'll see you back here soon with something other than candy bags!

Thank Whoooo...

Hello!   I'm back once again to share a little project I made yesterday. You may or may not know that I am an Origami Owl Designer. We have a great hostess program but sometimes I like to give my hosts an extra little something so while making some other fun projects (I'll show you those soon) I made these fun treat thank yous for my December hosts.

I started with the SU! Simply Created kit.  It came with the die cut tags, the red stripe sticker, the bag, and the baker's twine that closes the bag.  I just added a sentiment and owl from a The Stamps of Life kit.  In the bag is just a few Hershey's Kisses.   I hope they will like them!

Thanks for stopping by!  I'm headed into my craft room today so I hope to have more to share soon!

Winter Bright

Thank you so much to everyone that stopped by my blog yesterday for the Card Swap Hop!  I love crafting...just haven't had much time to do it recently so the card swap was perfect!

Today I want to share with you some gift card holders that I made.  I know...there are tons of tutorials for gift card holders, right?  Well, first, this isn't a tutorial and second...it is really easy to replicate!  Check them out...

These were quickly and easily made with SU! Envelope Board.  They are 3"x4" because I wanted the little paper 'thingie' that the gift cards come on to go in the envelope too as it has a place to write the value of the card on it.  I just followed the directions on the board starting with a 6x6 piece of paper and these are the cute holders that I came up with.  The papers and the sticker elements all came from the, can you guess from yesterday?, Winter Bright Simply Scrappin' kit that I used on my step-up swap cards.  I have three nieces and one nephew so for my ease I made three pink and one blue.  Honestly, I was SO pleased with myself when they were done!

Are you making any special projects for gifts or decoration this year?  I'd love to see so feel free to link me up in the comments!

Brighter Days

I was back in my croffice (craft room+ office = Croffice!) using an old SU! set called Brighter Days for the last couple of days.  This set has reminded me that I haven't been coloring much recently because I stink at it again!  LOL!  It's okay, though, I'll be practicing more!  From Millan.Net

I put some illuminate smooch on the wings of this sweet angel as well as on the bees on the inside panel of the card.  I thought it would be fun to decorate up the inside too...and it was!
I made this card specifically for my husband's grandma...I think she will enjoy just getting something in the mail.  From Millan.Net Well, there you have it...another day, another card. I'm hoping to get back in my Croffice today or tomorrow so hopefully I'll be back soon!

Sweet Baby

Good morning!  This posting thing may become a habit again...could be fun!  I made another baby card as we had one more gift from my husband and I and a couple of the great-grandparents for my son and his wife.  They did not have a crib yet and we just couldn't let the baby come home without out a crib sooooo...we all pitched in and got them one!

So, above is the card that I made for this gift.  I love the paper colors and the little clothespins...so cute!  Again, both boy and girl colors.
So, the crib came un-assembled of course and the box was huge and quite heavy...120 lbs or so but Todd managed to get it in the bed of the truck then Scott helped him carry it in.  It isn't together yet but when it is together it should look something like the photo below.  We just have to find them a mattress and a changing pad.  I love that there is storage...three drawers on the side and two below.  I understand from the reviews on Amazon that they aren't huge drawers but they are better than nothing!

So there you have it.  I'm working on another card but I'm not loving my coloring right now (it is a bit rusty after not having colored much for a year and a half) so we shall see if I go with it or not.

Right now, I'm off to exercise and watch last nights Dancing With The Stars!  Have a wonderful day! From Millan.Net

Oh, Baby

Don't be afraid...the world is not ending but yes, yes I am posting today!  Crazy, right?  Well, it turns out that things have changed a bit in my life and I am no longer working outside the home which is great...I get to concentrate on Origami Owl and be creative...yay!

Today I'm attending a baby shower for my daughter-in-law...yep, really it is for my grandbaby.  Nope, we don't know the sex of the baby yet as my son and DIL do not want to know and I'm totally fine with that.  Anyway, I wanted to make a card to go with my gift rather than buying one (yes, I've stooped to buying cards...shame on me!).  I've just recently purchase the stamp set Baby, We've Grown set from Stampin' Up! so I decided to put it to use.  I used an old sketch from the Clean & Simple blog and papers from the Fresh Prints designer series paper stack.  I didn't want traditional pink and blue so I thought this would be perfect and it is...I love it!

Ribbon Carousel challenge which is HERE.  You may want to check it out...all you have to do is add ribbon to your card and who doesn't do that already?

So, there you have it!  I hope you all have a fantastic day and I hope to see you again very soon!

Birthdays!

Morning friends!  Can you believe it is August already?  Yikes, the time does fly!  Today I'm going to share a couple of birthday cards I've made.  I've pretty much returned to my clean and simple style as I just don't have the time to put all the little details on it when I'm making a card anymore.

Anyway, enjoy!

The above uses SU! designer series paper from the Birthday Basics and the stamp set is called Giggle Greetings.  The outside says 'birthdays are like hairballs' and the inside says 'the more you have the more you want to gag'.  Ha!  So funny!
And this one is the same Birthday Basics designer series paper but this stamp set is the Ronald McDonald House Charities set.  SU! donates $3 for each of these sets purchased to the Ronald McDonald House Charity.  To date SU! has contributed over $1,000,000 through their special stamp sets.  Isn't that ribbon beautiful?  It's the new chevron ribbon.  Chevron's are so in right now!

Just as a side note...I am still a SU! demo I just don't have a website that you can shop at anymore.  If you'd like to place an order through me just email me and I'll get it ordered for ya!

More candles...

Good morning all! No, I did not fall off the earth!  I've been here busy as always!  I'm just stopping in to show you the card I made for Kyler for his birthday that was at the beginning of the month.
This paper is paper from SAB then there is some Window Frame Framelits and a sentiment set that is now retired.  What is funny about this is that we had cupcakes so I put only one candle on it.  Sure wish I would have tried 15 though...lol!  I used Tangerine Tango for the sentiment and to sponge the edges.

Well, that is about it.  I hope you all having been doing well.  Even if I am not leaving notes on your blog rest assured that I am looking and loving everything you are making and those vacations that you are taking!

Have a wonderful day all!
