Hot, hot, hot!

Good morning!  I'm back today to share with you a fun card that I made for my husband.  Yes, I like to make cards and such for my hubby.  He appreciates the work that goes into them and I love doing it for him!
For this adorable card I used an MHK Designs set called Eat Your Veg! and the coordinating papers Glorious Garden.  The layout is from this week's Freshly Made Sketches blog which I used because I thought a clean and simple layout would work well for this chili pepper!  I've added a pair of lips from the Jaded Blossom set called Heart Splatters, some Trendy Twine in black and a couple of flat black sequins to dress it up a bit.

In addition to linking this card up at the sketch blog I'm also adding this card to the following challenges:

A Bit More Time To Craft - Anything Goes
Fantasy Stampers - Clean & Simple

Thank you for stopping by today!  I love your comments...they keep me blogging!

you're smokin'

Happy Saturday! Just stopping in here real quick with (what I think is) a super cute card with an image from Imagine That digistamps.
I was looking at the newest tutorial on Splitcoaststamps which is how to create a selfie image and thought maybe I could make it work for a digital stamp andddd...I think I did!  I've used the Stitched Square and Stitched Rectangle dies from Jaded Blossom to make my Polaroid photo-ish image panel.  The images and sentiment itself are from the Summer BBQ Kit.  I had the papers in my stash and the black/white twine is from Trendy Twine.  A run through the big shot in a heart embossing folder and a couple of black pearls and this is ready to give to my hubby during our anniversary week!  I'm going to add this to the little red wagon challenge which is summertime. And this layout is inspired by the current Paper Pal Arts sketch PPA308 so I'll link up to that too!

Now, I hope you come back on Monday to check out my post because it is a good one!  Have a fabulous weekend all!

Quick, easy and cute? Yep!

Love quick, easy, and cute gifts?  Here's one for you!  All it took was a tube for the candy, two sheets of paper (which, of course, I did not use all of), the Christmas Luggage Tag from Jaded Blossom, twine and a piece of double sided tape (to hold that twine in place).  Add the candy of your choice and you are done!
This literally took me less then 15 minutes!  Who can you think of that might love one of these?

Pretty paper...

It is that time of year again where we get to give to our family and friends.  I especially love to make gifts look pretty and then see their expression upon opening the gift!  A couple of people I worked with for many years are very good friends of mine (you know...the kind where you hop up on the counter and get their opinion on kids, husbands, food...all that good stuff!) and we have Christmas lunch each year together.  We are also all quite crafty so it is fun to see what we will do for each other.  This years gift for them isn't so much hand made but I made sure I did a little something with the packaging...

I chose a couple of pretty papers from my Christmas stash, used my SU! Gift Box Punch Board to make boxes for their gifts.  The box size is 3 ¼" x 3 ¼" x 3 ¼". Some pretty bows on top with twine from Trendy Twine and I called it good.  I used four strands of twine for each box and tied them in a simple bow so that the twine could be taken off and used again!  (sneaky gift, huh?)

I'm pretty sure my friends will love the gifts inside so I can't wait until lunch to see if I'm correct!

Cute Christmas Gift Idea!

Good morning!  Crazy  how time flies when you are looking forward to things, right?  Christmas, time with my family, all the good stuff December brings!  Today I'm here to show you some fun EOS holders I made.  Being that Kyler is in high school now I have let him decide if he wants me to do anything for his teachers...sometimes its a yes, sometimes it is a no...I even let him chose which teachers but this year he wanted something for all his teachers so I presented him with some ideas and he chose these EOS holders for the female teachers (three of them).

One of these Santa's I've already give as a gift for a gift exchange but my son will get to chose which teachers get the snowmen and which get the Santa.  Aren't these just the most fun?!  Some patterned paper and embossing folders pump up the cuteness level for sure!
Mr. Frosty here got some black twine and a couple of frosty sequins from the Frosty Sequins mix at Annie's Paper Boutique which is where you get the Trendy Twine that is used here.  The EOS cut files are at SVG Cutting Files and truly make a fun, and easy, gift!

I'll be entering my cuties in the following linkys/challenges:

Not Just Cards - Anything Goes
Creative Cards Crew - Holiday Season
Hiding In My Craft Room - Christmas Colors
As You See It - Santa Claus

Have a wonderful Friday friends!  I'll be back on Monday!

Love You Watts

Happy Monday everyone!  How was your weekend?  Did you get a lot done?  I've been in my Croffice a lot recently and I'm here to show you a fun card I made with a Too Cute By Jessica file called I Love You Watts.
I'm sure you could never guess who this card might be for!  LOL!  My hubby and I are going away for a couple of days and I like to have a card for him for each of the days that we are gone and this is card #1...two more to go!
Then inside I stamped this little light bulb and sentiment...then I thought maybe I should have told him a like him a lot before suggesting the other...heeheehee!!

Don't forget about the Too Cute By Jessica challenge for this month.  Just design a card with a winter theme and link it up the the blog HERE!

Gobble, Gobble!

Don't you just love love it when you make a mistake and it actually turns out to be a good thing?  Well, I was working on some table settings for my Thanksgiving table and I made my turkeys too small so I had to start over and I thought...hmm...wonder if I could make these into some super cute Thanksgiving cards to send out?  Guess what?  I did!  And it only took me two hours to make all four cards!  Check 'em out!

So a little explanation of what I did and used.  First, the turkeys are a print and cut that I got from the Silhouette store (they are on sale right now!) that I cut on my Cameo (side note...I love how easy print and cut is, I think I'll be using it more often!).  The sentiment images is from Jaded Blossom's Holiday Treat Tags and is stamped on and then layered with the Treat Tag Die, again from Jaded Blossom.  With all this Jaded Blossom being used I'm going to enter these cards in their monthly challenge which is Thanksgiving this month.  I also got this super cute paper from Jaded Blossom which is by Doodlebug Designs and is called fall friends.  The twine is Trendy Twine's Spiced Pumpkin and the cardstock is from SU!

Now on the inside of all the cards I just put a piece of cardstock to write on and the pumpkin 'tape' from Autumn Designer Tapes from...yep, Jaded Blossom.  Almost all edges are inked with complimentary colors to the papers.  Also, these cards are 4 ¼" x 4 ¼" as I thought the images would look best on that size card.

See?  A happy mistake!  Love it!

I reckin'...

Hello and happy Saturday all!  It has been a cloudy, sometimes rainy day here which as been perfect to work on some crafting in my Croffice!  My question for you...have you ever made something that you just love and can't wait to share?  Well, today is one of those days for me!  I made this card for a friend's birthday and I love it so much I want to share it with you right away!
I used Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Book Pal set for this card, colored with Copics and then put together this card with fun papers from a super old (like more than four years old) TE paper kit (I love that have several of these still hanging around!).  The friend that this card is for is a sewer and quilter extraordinaire so I went with the thread bobbins at the top and added some fun coordinating papers and embellishments including some fabulous twine from Trendy Twine that I just got (it is seriously pretty...two colors of brown and white in that twist).  The die cuts are with dies from the Jaded Blossom die set called Border Dies.  I'll be entering this is the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #305 which is to use Twine and also to Kraftin' Kimmie Wonderful Wednesday Challenge which is anything goes and they post a sketch you can use if you want which is what I used for this card.

So???  Isn't this just a seriously cute card?  I cannot wait to give it to the birthday girl!
