Congrats and Happy Birthday!

Good morning all! I will get to the Happy Birthday in a second here first to show you the Grad Hat Card.

This is another SVG (and I have another to show you on Saturday) that I got from My Scrap Chick. If you have a Cricut (or other cutting machine) and SCAL or MTC you should either follow My Scrap Chick's blog or subscribe to her newsletter as each week you get a free SVG from her and this grad hat card was one of them. I think it was from about a month ago. In all honesty I own quite a few of her SVG's. I don't use as many as I own but I do love them all and find them to be a great value! I made three of these hats this year...one red with black (it is actually not that red, more crimson) and two black with red. It is interesting but I find using my Cricut really fun recently so I think you'll be seeing more made with at least some elements cut from my Cricut.

What about the birthday? Well, today is not only Flag Day, if you have a flag it should be flying today unless it is raining, it is the Army's 236th Birthday! From THIS website...

Lily of the Valley In The Garden

Just a little stop in here this morning to show a little altered notebook that I made the other day.

When I was looking for a something else I came across this little notebook. I'm sure I bought it to alter as it is just a kraft colored notebook but it got put away and forgotten like so many things do. I received this Pure Innocence set by My Favorite Things in the mail the other day so I decided to use the main image and one of the sentiments on the notebook. I'm sure I've told you before that Lily of the Valley are my all time favorite flower. I adore the strong scent and fragile, pure white flower. It bring back great memories of my childhood! I'm going to use this cute little notebook for prayer requests received.

Anyway, I grabbed out a piece of DCWV paper covered the front of the notebook, paper pieced the girls dress then popped her up on the notebook. I added the Lily of the Valley sentiment just because I love the name so much. LOL!

The Lily of the Valley flower itself also very much so reminds me of a song (weird I know) call In The Garden. Below is a great rendition of the song by Brad Paisley. Enjoy the song and have a wonderful Saturday!

Your Hands

Sometimes, something happens and you are just shaken to your core. Some of you know that a dear friend of mine (and of a lot of us) lost her 3 year old son on Monday. No, not lost while at the store but lost as in he died. While I'm absolutely certain little Henry is in Heaven with Jesus it still leaves his family (and the rest of us) to cope with the void his death has left. Please pray for the Anderson family and remember that when our world is shaken...Heaven still stands.
