Season of Joy III

I pulled out this set again today and like what I came up with. Basic with a little pizazz! I just used a plain oval punch for the Merry Christmas and tied some grosgrain to the bottom. I also used my Copic Glitter Pen throughout the entire card...the tree, the Merry Christmas, the star, and the swirls on the Old Olive card stock. It is really lovely IRL. Give me a moment and I'll link the recipe HERE.

Hope you like...I'm off to work on some more stuff!

Here it is!

Well, it isn't exactly where I was going with this card but I really like how it came out! I'm going to upload this card to SCS so I'll come back and you'll be able to click HERE for what I used to make it. Now, for the directions. I can't give them to you right now as I followed a tutorial but Paula's blog is right HERE and she may have the directions on there. The colors were an inspiration from Beate's blog awhile ago. I bought the Groovy Guava Designer Paper and used it with this card. Also, the Basic Gray is just a beautiful color. I wish I could find a way to use the taffeta ribbon that matches with it on this card, too! :o) I left the Shimmery White almost blank on the inside so that I could write a note on it should I want to. The other thing is that I used Stickles on the entire flower. I started out only using it on every other petal but I really thought it needed the Stickles on the whole thing. And, yes, it is very blinggy!

Alright! Next, is a little set of goodies that I received from a fellow blogger, Rose Ann, when I join I signed up for her Pay It Forward post. All I needed was to be one of the first few people to respond and BAM! This is all mine! Don't you just love that bird stamp? Cute, cute, cute! Now the thing is that I have to Pay It Forward on my blog sooooo....

The first two people that comment on this post will receive some stampin' stuff! One person will receive the 2-5-7-10 box with Primas inside and the other person will receive the fun Studio G set that I got from Rose Ann (I already have this set) along with some Primas. If you are one of the first two go ahead and e-mail me your postal information so I can get these things out to you next week. Not sure how I'm going to mail that box but I'll see what I can do!

Alright...there you have it! Enjoy the rest of your Saturday!

Hmmmm....

Wanna see why I didn't post yesterday? Well, because this is all I could come up with in respects to the card I was trying to make to show you. I had originally started out with a new style of card from another website but I just couldn't get it to come out correctly and ruined TWO beautiful pieces of Basic Gray paper that I just got. Grrr...So, I decided to try a different card. Although I think it will be lovely when I finally figure out how to finish it off it just isn't coming together the way I want.

So, for now...this is what you get. I'm giving myself until 10:00 a.m. to just goof around on this Saturday morning then I'll be exercising and cleaning up the house a little. Hopefully, this afternoon will be better in the creative department for me!

Wish me luck!

Another Season of Joy

Okay...here is the card that I was waiting for my SU! order to come so I could finish it. Here is the thing...I decided not to use the card stock that came yesterday. I did use the new, yummy, Chocolate Chip satin ribbon that came in the order though!

Anyway, the sketch is from SCS's sketch challenge for this week and the stamping on the Cuttlebugged background is an idea from another stamper on her blog. Sadly I did not star it before clicking out of the blog and can't tell you whose original idea that was. I wasn't able to capture it in the picture but I used my Copic Glitter Pen on several places on the saying. And, the shiny patterned paper is the wrapping paper from SU! that is in in the Holiday Mini. Very fun and very safe even if you'd like to use it in your scrapbooks as it is acid and lignen free along with being buffered! Cool, huh?

You can see all the ingredients I used to make this card HERE. Just give me a minute to get it up on SCS.

Have a great Thursday everyone!

Yay! A Card!

So, I promised you a card, right? Well, here is one that I received in the mail today that is so much better than the one I came up with! I got this super cute card in the mail today from my friend Janel! She was thanking me for some help I gave her with a card but I just say that she is the most awesome stamper and doesn't really need my help!

Anyway, thank you so much Janel!
