2nd Day of Christmas

On the 2nd Day of Christmas my true love gave to me...2 packs of brads!!! Woohoo! That is very cool because I used up all my other brads of this type on the cards I made for his Grandma to send out! I got metallic mini flowers and antique copper! There are also a couple of puzzle pieces in the bag so I'm interested to see where that is going! Oh, and he blinged this bag up by using some Stickles on the snowflakes. And, did you notice that he has his own watermark? I had that made for him because he should get credit for the things he makes! This is such a fun way to start the day! For you Todd...Kiss 3

My stamped card for you today is made with A Little Birdie Told Me stamp set and Bali Breeze DP. Both of which will be available in the NEW Spring/Summer Catalog that I hope to be receiving soon! I got this fun layout from Sweet Miss Daisy's blog HERE. I could see LOTS of cards made with this layout it is sooo versatile! At first, I wasn't really sure about the color combination that I chose but I really like the way the Rose Red pops the image and sentiment up from the background paper.

I hope you all have a fantastic Friday!

The 12 Days of Christmas

Can I reminisce here a little? Moving from the only place that I had ever lived to a little dinky town in Washington was probably one of the most difficult transitions I've ever made. Now I can't imagine being elsewhere but 6 years ago, with no friends, newly married, and missing home it wasn't much fun. For me or for Todd. One of the things Todd did to make it more fun for me was the 12 Days of Christmas. He had different people from work sign cards (so I wouldn't know it was him) that he left with a little gift each day for 12 days before Christmas. That is a tradition he has continued right up until this year. You should have seen me that first year trying to figure out who it was because I honestly didn't know. This year I have helped him out a little with a couple of things but still..the fun continues. All that just to say...this is my first 12 Days gift. I have been wanting to try one of these see through frames but have never bought one and now I have one to try! I'm very excited! I have a plan for it already! Can I share with you what the little note says?

On the first day of Christmas,
My true love gave to me a partridge in a pear tree

or

Better yet on the first day of Christmas,
My true love gave to me a friendship for the rest of my life
and a gorgeous woman in a red ???
With memories to frame forever...thanks

Is that not the sweetest thing ever especially because of the stuff I put him through on a regular basis? I'm no picnic to live with I tell ya! Are you guys getting the idea why I'm the luckiest girl in the world? Holding Hands

On a stamping side note...here is a card I made with a new set called Embrace Life and some new DP called Ginger Blossom. Both will be in the new Spring/Summer 08 SU! catalog. Don't the colors of this card just make you ready for spring? And we haven't even gotten to Christmas yet! LOL! A little birdie has told me that you will continue your longing for spring when you see tomorrows card, too! Okay, and how funny do you think it is that stamping is my side note for today? LOL!

I hope you all have a fantastic Thursday!

You Must Hear This Christmas Song!

Super fun!

RAK's...Yay!

I was RAK'd twice the other day. FUN!

The first card is a fantastic Christmas card from my online friend Diane Lapointe. How did she know that I like pink? It is a fun buckle card made with the hostess stamp set Sidekick Greetings. I love the flower with the rhinestone for the middle...love the bling! Diane, I just want you to know that I so appreciate your encouraging comments almost every day! It really helps me to keep going knowing that people enjoy my blog!!!

The second card is from Allison over at Stamping When I Can. I have been visiting Allison's blog for sometime now. It is the BEST place on the web to find tutorials, sketch designs, new blogs, where to find blog candy, and the like. I've even had my blog on there occasionally which is WAY cool! Thanks so much Allison!

In other news
...

I HAVE SEEN IT!!! I have seen the Sale-A-Bration brochure for this year! Oh, my Lordy ladies...I love and MUST have every one of the "sets". I say "sets" because this year there are rub ons as an option with your $50 purchase. Also, a note on SAB...it will be February 1st - March 17th which is different from previous years. My customers should be looking out for info about a stamp camp during that time.

Also, a reminder about retired sets and accessories. If you want (almost) guaranteed delivery for Christmas you should order by Friday this week. Let me know if you have any questions!

Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!

***Edited to let you know...Todd's been creating so hopefully I'll be able to show you something from him soon!!! Excited 2***

Paper Bow

Have you seen these before? It is a paper bow that you make from double sided designer paper of your choice. I used paper from SU!'s Dashing collection of paper. I love this paper and I love this bow! They are soooo much easier than I though they would be! Would you like to make your own? Well, then...follow THIS really easy tutorial from SCS! Just one side note though...I did not use brads to anchor my bow layers. I used sticky tape and it is still holding just fine this morning!

Guess what!? I've been tagged by Katie Skiff and Kristi Ferro! I have done this one before but I thought I'd try it again.

7 Facts About Me

* While it is not strange for me to be married to a man named Todd it kinda is when you know that my brother's name is Todd as well. Weird, huh?
* While I love my SU! stamps I am finding that there is a whole world of stamps that are as equally good and that also foster my creativity!
* I have 184 blogs in my Google Reader...crazy, huh?
* Right now I get most of my inspiration from blogs, my Yahoo groups, and SCS's tutorials.
* I truly find that I'm more and more like my mom everyday. Most would find that scary but my mom was a wonderful woman and I miss her everyday!
* My favorite flowers are Lily of the Valley and guess what? I actually grew some in my backyard last year!!! Woohoo!
* Speaking of flowers...Todd makes sure that I have fresh flowers at least 2 of 4 weeks each month...spoiled aren't I?

I am supposed to tag others but since I've done this one before I'll pass on that BUT if you'd like to do this then please feel free and let me know!

I hope I didn't bore you too much! Have a terrific Tuesday everyone!
