Happy Fall

Morning everyone! T-9 minutes til Kyler gets up for his first day of 7th grade! So exciting! Todd is making him breakfast and I'm going to pack his lunch, both things he usually does for himself but it is the first day of school!

So...to make this quick. This pumpkin shaped card was made, again, with my Cricut and an SVG from SVG Cuts. I basically CASED the sample but I would have done it this way anyway, so not really. Did that make any sense? Ah, well! Anyway, there are five basic parts of the card. The pumpkin card base was cut with Pumpkin Pie cardstock, the outside of the pumpkin with some patterned paper I have had in my stash forevah plus a piece of Pumpkin Pie CS (the two pieces, patterned and solid, are two different pieces that I could cut at the same time), the stem is just Close to Cocoa with some lines drawn and then the inside, the leaves are some that, again, I've had forevah, and then the inside is a separate cut file and is cut in Close to Cocoa as well. I also used a fall Cuttlebug folder for the outside piece. I did some sponging and tahdah...I was done. I will say the inside is not quite perfect yet but I'm getting there. Also, the inside doesn't stand up as well in the picture because I had to set the pumpkin down instead of holding it open.

So, there you have it! I just love this card and will probably make more of these in their fall pop up line. Is there anyone that reads my blog that might be interested in a swap that would include using their Cricut? Let me know!

It is now T-2 minutes til Kyler gets up so I should run so I can great him! Have a super Thursday everyone! See ya tomorrow with, what I think is, a super cute Halloween card!

Awesome! I love the papers! Those pop ups ARE tough to fold, aren't they? I have the same trouble every time! Finally figured out, if you line it up on your trimmer and score it, they tend to fold a "little" easier...
Thanks for putting ONE MORE thing on my "I gotta have it" list- i LOVE that fall folder you used!

Ha! NO WAY! Lorie, you are having too much FUN with your Cricut!! This is sooo CUTE! You are making me envious... I've wanted one of those machines for some time. LOVE what you did with the inside!! So cool =)

Welp, Carly started 6th grade (First year in Middle School) yesterday. She went from knowing everyone in her Elementary to a school with 750 students... SIX 6th grade classes and only one girl in her class that she knows. I told her it's a great opportunity to make some new friends, but secretly, I DO KNOW how uncomfortable and insecure she feels. I'm sure it'll get better as the year goes on. I Pray it does! =)

You are making wish for a Cricut. I keep telling myself there are lots of other ways to make cards but I do see Cricuts coming down in price so I just might have to invest one of these days. Lovely card. And I love the cut out on the inside! Good luck for the new school year for Kyler.

Really gorgeous! Love that embossing on the top/front - wow! Will have to keep an eye out for that folder. I'm still just using the Swiss Dots and Argyle, I need to get with the times! :P
