Happy Friday all!  Thanks so much for blog hoppin' with D2D! Remember, you can enter our Blog Hop Challenge for a chance to win some FREE Digis! Also, all New Release Digital Stamps will be on SALE until July 23. Details HERE.

For more inspiring ideas from this new release, please visit the other designers' blogs:

And to make it easier to see my cards up close I'm posting them here separately. Enjoy!

I think the above image is SO cute and a bit goofy.  It is called Birdbrain Balloon and I'd say he's my favorite but, truly, all the images are SO cute this month!
After being sick earlier this month I realized I don't really have many get well type of cards so I decided to make a card with Sick Chick for the blog hop as well.  Do you like how the chick is green around the edges?  Yeah, that is how I felt!

Both of the sentiments used on my card are from the Chick Sentiments set...all you need to make super cute cards with all of the new images!

I hope you'll play along with our color challenge!  Have a wonderful Friday!

Hello, friend

Good morning friends!   I like to post come of the cards I make in one of the digital scrapbooking Facebook groups that I belong to every now and then because I think the comments I get are hilarious.  Things like..."I don't know how you make stuff with paper, it's so time consuming." or "That is so cute but I just don't do things with paper anymore.".  Well, I posted one card a week or so ago and a digital scrapbook kit designer asked me if I made many cards which lead to a conversation, a look at her blog, this cute owl image and Tamara asking if I'd like to make a card with one of her images.  I said, of course and got right to work!  Oh, the name of the digital stamp company Tamara and her sister have started is Stitch and Hootch
I used the CPS sketch for this week on this card using the tree as the element on the top.  I gotta tell  ya I really like this card.  I think it is fun, simple, and just darling!  Taylored Expressions just had a video out on how to use their dies a little more effectively so I decided to try it out.  While not perfect just yet I did a much better job than normal on this one!  Practice makes perfect so you'll probably start seeing more die usage on my cards!

Alright, that is it for today.  I have to get my workout in early today as we are taking a friend for her knee surgery later this morning.  Have a wonderful day and see you on Friday for the Designed2Delight new release blog hop...you are going to LOVE the new images!

Colchuck Lake

After what I think was the 24 hour flu (during which I lost 7 pounds--yikes!) I believe I'm up and going again so I thought I'd come here and show you some photos of the hiking trip we took this last weekend.

This hike was to Colchuck Lake in Leavenworth and was by far the longest I have ever done at about 5 hours total.  Yes, FIVE hours!  The most I've done prior to that time is about half at 2 hours.  Anyway, we made it through and I really feel as if I've accomplished something which is a great feeling!

Enjoy the photos and the laugh you'll have at the end!

Alright, so...this was the first glimpse at where we were headed.  Yep, there is still snow up there.  Nope, it didn't feel cool, AT ALL, when we got there.  It was in the 100's in town that day and quite warm on the hike.
You are going to find (or you already know) that I love (to look at) water.  I love the ocean, streams, even rain in the summer.  This hike made me so happy as we had the sounds of water almost the entire way!
Here is my honey leading the way.  I prefer he leads that way I don't necessarily slow him down but I think I did a good job at keeping up a pretty brisque pace during this hike.  The website says it is a 6 hour hike and we did it in 5 hours and 8 minutes...woot, woot!
Yep, you get to see a photo of me too.  I'm not looking great as I was sweating beyond belief but I was really excited to have made it to the top.  Have I mentioned yet that going down was very difficult.  I thought I was going to die.  At one point I said, and I quote, "please God let it be over."  The next thing I knew Todd was saying...I see cars...WOOHOO!!!
Here is what the view was like at the top.  Pretty incredible, huh?  We could have skirted around to get down to the lake but we were both tired, hungry and we were ready to go back down after eating a little something.  Interesting fact about this photo...it was taken on my iPhone!
And here is your laugh for the day.  This is me trying to figure out how to use my iPhone correctly and Todd, well...he was just being Todd.  Hahahaha!

I hope you've had a wonderful week!  I've been creating but I'm not able to share those quite yet so I'll get back in my craft room again soon and make something I can share!  Oh, and I get to go get Kyler from the airport today...he's coming home from being gone for 10 days to grandmas.  I cannot wait to squeeze him!

Monkey Around?

Good morning friends!  I know it has been a long time since crafty (and it shows in my coloring) sharing but I have a cute little card for ya today!  My hubby and I are going to go spend a couple of days away (it is SO hard to find a house sitter this summer but we did it!) so I thought I'd make him a cute little (actually not so little at 5"x5") card.
This card is made with the super cute Monkey Around image from Designed2Delight.  I made my own sentiment (and yes I put it too low on the tag) with a dual meaning--the one you are all thinking and then we are going to do some hiking so that is kinda monkey-ish, right--climbing and such?  Okay, so that is stretching it a bit but go with me on this!  LOL!  I am taking the month of July off from the Sketches by Carly team but used today's new sketch.

Hopefully, I'll be back soon...I know I have some cute images to work with for the Designed2Delight release on July 20th!

See you soon!

He's married!

As you may know this past weekend my oldest son was married.  Just thought I'd stop in and show you a photo.

The wedding was beautiful and not without a couple of mishaps but what is a wedding without a story, right?

Hopefully I'll be back to crafting soon!
