Falming Hot Sucker Covers

Good morning! I hope you had a fabulous weekend!  Mine was very nice!  Todd and I went to the wedding expo at the university yesterday just to look around and check things out for our son's wedding.  There was only one bakery there but her cake was delicious!   She isn't from our town though so I'm going to keep looking for now.

So, what is an Aunt to do when her sweet niece calls and says...Aunt Lorie,  will you make my Valentine's for school?  Well, if you are this Aunt Lorie you say...of course, love...how many do you need?  And then you swallow hard when she says 30.  Two thoughts on the quantity of 30...that is a lot to make and that is a lot of kids in a classroom!  Anyway, I learned that they were going to give suckers with the Valentine so I decided to make the Valentine a sucker cover.  I used Doodle Pantry's Flaming Hot Ants, in color, cut them out, and then printed the 'just for you', cut them out and made the sucker cover.  Now, if you want dimensions and such you can just search for lollipop cover on SCS and you'll find it!  Since I was asked a couple of times-- HERE is a link to the lollipop cover tutorial on SCS.  Once I got everything all cut out the assembly went very quickly.  I've left these flat to mail and so my niece can write her name on the back.  I texted a photo of them to her and she loves them so I'm a happy Aunt!
So, what are you crafty plans for Valentine's Day?  I just found the project I'm going to do for Todd this morning.  I've linked you to the printable but I've got enough papers and such to make my own so I'll just be using the idea not the printable.  Now to get thinking on a memory for the entire alphabet!

Well, I hope you make your day a wonderful Monday!  See you tomorrow!

Thought of the day:  As much as you want to plan your life, it has a way of surprising you with unexpected things that will make you happier than your original plan.  That's what you call God's will.  ~From Pinterest

You are one special lady, Lorie! Always putting others first! Your niece is going to adore these! They are just darling. And I so love the idea for Todd! Yikes, you'll have to share what you do for q,x, and z!!! Thanks for sharing...I may case the idea in a little 'album' format! What fun!

Very cute sucker holders Lorie... I'm sure your niece would love these *Ü* You ARE a great auntie.

My daughter's are gettin' "too old" for V-day parties I guess as they haven't been exchanging things in their classes, but they always like to make a li'l sumpthin' for their close friends. :)

So cute! Well, like you, I volunteered to make decorated treat bags for school Valentines. Only I had to make 62 which was enough for the entire 3rd grade (only 15-16 per class). It took me hours! So, I feel you on making 30 treats! The turned out great though and you made your niece happy - and that's why we do these crazy things. To make a child happy!
