No Fear Factor Challenge

Remember I talked about the the snow we were supposed to be getting? Well, we got it! Officially we got 4" but I think it looks like more out my patio door.  Even though I grew up in the midwest I still don't care for snow so this does not please me at all!

Onto, the scrapbook page.  Over on the MyMemories blog there is a new challenge posted every Wednesday.  Sometimes I do it...sometimes not.  This week I did!  It is a No Fear Factor challenge.  Take the thing you are most afraid of in scrapbooking and do it.  Mine has been to make a photo the background paper of the page.  First, I couldn't remember how to do it and then I was afraid I'd not pick the right photo.  Well, I managed to get past both fears!  And it was so easy too!
When I first saw this photo that my mom took of Jon when he arrived in the states for his mid-tour leave I knew I wanted to do something special with it...this challenge seemed perfect for it.  In addition to the photo background I used another Page Builder...11, I think.  I adore how this turned out!  I will make this type of page, of this photo, again when I go to make Jon's Army album.  I think it will look great for that purpose too!

Alright, enough of my excitement...I hope you all have a great day!

Thought of the day:  Be nice to people.

Lorie, this just gave me big time goosebumps. What a fabulous page, and so touching. Beautifully done, dear friend! It's a winner in my book! And your thought of the day is perfect. Also, one that you can be proud to say that you live by every day! Hugs....

Wow you did an amazing job with this page. It's very well put together.
Hope you didn't get the freezing rain like we have here in WW.

That page is soooo COOL! Love how you made a picture subtle but fills the whole background and then the 2 others in full contrast on top. Such a neat momento Lorie. Great job!! *Ü*
