Eclectic Day

This post is going to be a bit eclectic as I have some odds and ends to share with you. First, I got a new tool for my stamping desk. It is a Fiskars Rotary Cutter. I have been looking for the perfect trimmer for some time when I was looking around at Costco and bam! There it was! I decided for $28 I could take it home, try it, and then return it if I didn't like it. Well, yeah...I'm not returning it...you can't make me! The blade is nice and sharp, both the paper and the blade don't move when cutting so as long as the paper is where it is supposed to be...no crooked cuts! Woohoo! Although this takes up a bit of room it is so worth it and I'm so happy with the cutter and its price as I searched for it online when I got home and the average price for one of these was about $50. What a bargain hunter I am, huh? If you are looking for a new cutter you should definitely consider one of these!

Next...HERE is the link to the directions on how to make the envelope albums that I shared yesterday. I had posted a comment on the blog to make sure it would be okay to post a link but I haven't heard from her. I can't see how it will be a problem so just make sure you give her proper credit when you make and post your own.

And finally...I was given an award yesterday! My friend Bev over at Country Frog Creations has give me the Arte Y Pico award. The award is given to bloggers who share their art creations through blogging. Here are the rules...

1. You have to pick five blogs that you consider deserve this award for their creativity, design, interesting material, and also contribute to the blogging community, no matter what language.

2. Each award has to have the name of the author and also a link to his or her blog to be visited by everyone

3. Each award winner has to show the award and put the name and the link to the blog that has given her or him the award itself

4. Award-winner and the one who has given the prize have to show the link of Arte y Pico blog, so everyone will know the origin of this award.

Now, I don't like lists like this all that much because I don't want to hurt any one's feelings so please...if I don't list you know that I love your blog and artwork too, k?!

1. Courtney at Created by Courtney.

2. Diane at ddnjoys2stamp.

3. Dawn at Dawn's Stamping Thoughts.

4. Kristine at Cafe Ink.

5. Andi at Crafts on a Whim.

So, there you go...my eclectic post! Today I take Kyler back to the dentist to see how those teeth are doing. Hopefully it will be clear sailing and no more problems...doubtful but I can be full of hope, right? Got lots to do for work today too so I'll be busy as is usual for a Monday.

Hope you all make today a fantastic day!

Envelope Albums

Remember this cutie? Well, I had a couple of pictures of her so I decided to make her mom a little envelope album to keep the pictures in. Other than the designer paper I have used all PaperTrey Ink products including the super cute and versatile set called Shapes By Design. Okay, and the large eyelets...those are Stampin' Up! When I gave it to her I think that she really liked it and Sammy..."that's me!" What a cutie!

Then I decided that grandma needs a little album of Kyler's activities while we were at the indoor water park. This one is made with SU! papers, ribbon, and eyelets. The stamps are also from the set Shapes by Design. I thought the smile and hello would be fun accents on this too.

***Edited to add...see THIS post for a link to directions on how to make these albums.***

I've also noticed I've gotten a couple of new visitors to my blog over the last couple of days. Welcome! Please feel free to leave comments whenever you'd like and join in on the fun for Glory From Lorie when the chance comes up!

Have a super Sunday!

Wine Journal

Awhile back I was in Seattle (Redmond really) for a conference with my friend Carol and we stopped at Ben Franklin. I've been to this Ben Franklin before and I did appreciate it but now...now, I love it. You see...they had this fun wine paper and a wine journal sitting there for all to see with directions on how to make it. Well, knowing that Todd and I have a wine tasting coming up that we are going to I decided I would buy the stuff for it and make it. By the way, the wine tasting, is at Central and is quite the event. So much fun! Anyway, here is my finished product. A couple of things...this is the first time I've used my Bind It All and I love that little thing...so much potential. A little learning curve but loads of potential. The O-Wire is the smallest size I had so that is what I went with but I've ordered some smaller wires so if they will work better I'll just swap them out. You can see that the holes are spaced differently from the top to the bottom and that was part of the learning curve part but ya know...it is going to work just fine!
So, this is the front of the journal. The paper is by Creative Imaginations and the stickers that are inside and the little red/white wine tabbies are by Creative Imaginations too.
And here is what the inside pages look like. The copy that I used for this must have been a little off because the lines don't line up quite right but again, for our purpose it will be just fine. So this first page shows you the pocket for business cards and such then the next two pages are just lined, then two pockets...you get the idea. There are 10 pages total even though I had done 12 but that learning curve snuck up on me and I ruined two. Todd thinks 10 will be just fine so I'm okay with it too then. I separated the journal with a white wine tab (my favorite) and a red wine tab (I like a couple of reds). I just thought that would add some organization to the journal and I think the tabs are cute! The label on the left I'm going to put the date and place of the tasting. I'll just make a new one for next year if necessary. Oh, I forgot to tell you I just used thin chipboard like from a cereal box for the front and back cover. Very easy and very inexpensive. I'm going to say less than $5 for the entire thing.

So...you like? Kind of a neat project, huh? Remember I told you it was supposed to snow? Well, it did and I think we probably got 2"-3"! Can you believe that? And, this morning it is only 22 degrees! We are heading up to 46 degrees though and hopefully the sun will melt all the snow today. Our neighbors are moving and are having a yard sale today...brrrr! Cold 2

I hope that you have a super fantastic Saturday!

Wow!

I'm so excited to tell you that I am the featured crafter today on Crafts On A Whim. She makes me look really good so I hope you guys will go over there and visit!

I made this purse/pocket yesterday with directions from Lauren's blog. Actually...you'll find that it looks a lot like hers as when I make something like this for the first time I typically will make the exact same one (or very close) and then go back and add my own flair to it the next time. I have taken this purse and put some tissue paper inside and then filled it with Ghiradelli chocolate. It is for the dentist office too. Although Kyler did say...maybe we shouldn't give the dentist chocolate. To which I replied...ah...they will just go brush their teeth right away. I'm sure they will love the Ghiradelli! I mean who wouldn't love those caramel, mint, and cocoa little squares? And, if they don't like them they better just give them right back! Are you getting the idea that I love Ghiradelli? Brunette

I'm just wondering...today is March 28th right? Well, guess what? We have a snow advisory in effect from 11 a.m. this morning until 10 p.m. tonight. WHAT? Shocked 3 That is absolutely crazy. Thankfully it will probably melt within the next couple of days but sheesh! Who wants snow this far into March?

And, a little update on Kyler. Yesterday was the first time since Monday that when I asked him if he wanted Tylenol after school he said no. That is great! He has his appointment on Monday but Jon has a cleaning today so I'm hoping that maybe the dentist will take a peek at it today just to make sure all looks good for the weekend.

Oops...there is my signal. The clock is going off and that means it is 7 and I turn into a pumpkin. No, actually, that means it is time for Kyler to get up and our day to get started. So...I'm off!

Have a super fantastic Friday!

Out on a Limb Thank You Card

So...this is the two hour thank you card. I have rarely been so frustrated while stamping a card as I was yesterday. Want to hear my comedy of errors? Okay...here goes. First, I stamped the limb and flower 6 different times...then, I placed the polka dot paper and realized I didn't like it and wanted to cut more off but it was too stuck to the card stock so I had to start over with a new base. Next was the liquid pearl in the middle of the flowers wasn't dry and I put it down upside down so it got smudged. Finally, the scallops. I cut the length wrong twice (the old adage measure twice cut once...yeah...didn't do that). Instead of the paper piercing I was going to use liquid pearl dots and I managed to smudge one of those too. So, I had to take the ribbon off, remove the old scallop and then make a new scallop and paper pierce it. Whew, girls...that was a lot of work! Do you think it was worth my frustration? the card is for the dentist office that saw Kyler after his accident. They were so kind and caring I wanted to make sure they knew that I appreciated it. Kyler wants to make them a little something too so he'll do that this weekend and we'll take the cards to them on Monday. I'm thinking some chocolate may be in order for them too so we'll see! :o)

A couple of you have asked how Kyler is doing. He is doing well. He went back to school the next day with instructions for no outside recess or PE participation. He is still having pain but Tylenol works for it for about 3 hours. I've just been giving it to him for that time period. We did call the dentist to make sure it was okay and he reiterated that his mouth is pretty messed up and that yesterday was supposed to be the worst day for pain which it was as Kyler woke up and the first thing he said was how much his mouth hurt. But, today is a new day and I'm about to go get him up so we'll see how it goes. Thank you so much for your concern...it means a lot to me and him!

I hope you all have a great Thursday! If you have any stories about a frustrating card...please share them so I don't feel like such a dork. Sorry but y'all need to join me on this one! LOL!

Gettin' Physical

Here is a card with one of my new Hanna sets, Getting Physical Hanna. Isn't she the cutest thing? I don't talk about it much on my blog but I exercise 4/5 out 0f 7 days a week. I'm trying to loose a little weight right now but I'm also liking food right now so it is just kinda balancing itself out. What you see Hanna wearing is something very similar to what I wear...funny how that works and it looks like she is about to do some shoulder work just like me! Funny, huh? I've actually made this card for a friend so I can't wait to get it in the mail! HERE is the recipe. I'm not sure where I got the layout from but I'm sure it is from somewhere.

On a personal note I started a new Bible study with some ladies at my church last night and it is wonderful! I just love it! To those of you who are following long with Rachel Olsen's blog reading about the women of the Bible...what did you think about Potiphar's wife? My goodness...it will be interesting to read what everyone thinks of her actions, huh? It all sets the wheel in motion for Joseph's rise to "power" and his ability to save thousands of people though but sheesh...what deceit!

Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful day today!

Light of the World

Well, this is my first card with Daily Bread Designs new stamp set called...Light of the World. This is their first set but I hope not their last as it is a lovely set, it stamps so nicely, and I just love the scriptures. The store also has stickers, rub ons, designer paper (I bought some of that go figure!) and there are even links to their gallery, SCS's Bible Verse Challenge and their forum. It is a neat store so go check it out.

Thank you all for your comments on my last post. Kyler is doing much better this morning. He is a little hesitant about eating lunch today as he thinks the kids will make fun of him for being a little slow but I just tried to reassure him that it will be okay. He will be staying in from recess and PE this week so no accidental flailing arms hit him in the mouth. I'm sure it will all be okay. One of his friends yesterday told him the wire on his teeth "looks cool" so hopefully they will all be cool with it today. If not...I may have to call their mama's! Just kidding...I'll let the school deal with it...maybe!

Have a terrific Tuesday everyone!

Monday, March 24, 2008

Oh Man!

Okay, remember when I said in the post below that I was going to make today the best day possible? Well...I'm still trying to do so but I got a phone call during my staff meeting today saying that Kyler was playing at recess, got hit in the mouth, was in the nurses office and I needed to come. Yeah...I was speeding a little to get there but that is the mom instinct ya know. Well, when I got there it wasn't good. I called the dentist right away, got him in right away and here are the positives...

1. I got him there very quickly which will increase the likelihood that the teeth will stay in.

2. The teeth are not broken. Yay!

3. He has finally done something before his brothers! LOL!

4. He doesn't have to have his teeth cleaned on Friday(this is good according to him).

5. He now knows what it is like to have to have a shot at the dentist...good 'cuz he's never gonna want to do it again.

6. He got the rest of the day off!

The bad...

1. His right front tooth and the one next to it will most likely need a root canals at some point.

2. It is going to be quite painful for the next couple of days.

3. He has a wire across his four front teeth to hold them into position that he has to go back to the dentist in a week to have looked at.

4. The sockets are "broken" but they will heal on their own.

5. He now knows what it is like to have a shot at the dentist...bad because it hurts darn it!

All I can say is one thing...Praise God it wasn't any worse!

PS: The picture doesn't do it justice...it looks horrible!

Last Two Swaps and an RAK

So here they are...the last two cards I got in the swap and an RAK from Melissa Ferr. Enjoy!

This is the RAK from Melissa Ferr. I just love the St. Patrick's Day theme with the party Bella. How cute!
This Tinkerbella is from Lisa Visone. Don't ya love all the bling? It is so much fun!
This last card is from Maria Vega. The pink and brown get me every time so you know I love this one! You probably can't see it but Bella's pants are all sparkly on this card. FUN!

So there you have it ladies. It was a wonderful swap that I was in and I'm so pleased with all the cards! Tomorrow I'll be showing you my first card made with a stamp set called Light of the World from a brand new stamp company called Our Daily Bread Designs. I think you are going to love it!

It is Monday so that means a very busy day for me as usual. I'm going to make today the best day possible and I hope you do too!

HE IS RISEN!!!

HE IS RISEN!!! If you are rejoicing in the joy of Easter's miraculous gift I want to hear "He Is Risen Indeed!"

Saturday, March 22, 2008

It's Saturday!

And you are thinking...yeah, so...it is Saturday. Well today Jon comes home! As a matter of fact he is on the plane right now. It left early from San Diego (6:30 a.m.) and will arrive in Spokane around 9:30 and then they will be home around noon or so...yay! And Scott's house sitting gig is done today too so we will be a full house again. It was interesting just having one child at home for the week. Pretty darn quiet! Asleep 2

Today I have a card that I made for Emily to show you and then a couple of more swap cards.

So here is Alexa's Bad Hair Day from Stamping Bella. This is the card I made for Emily. You guys know how much I love pink so I had to go with pink and brown for my main colors. The bunny's ears are fun flocked in white and the bunny nose and Alexa's hair bands have glitter on them. There is a little bling in the right upper corner and then finally I used some card scent on it after I got the okay from Emily's mom. I sincerely hope that Emily will like it!

This cute iPodbella card is made by my friend Katie Skiff (who sent me an RAK I get to show you guys). I just love the layout and colors....hmmm...I say that a lot don't I?

And this one is by Katie Cotton. It looks like Katie has a MySpace account so go check her out! Aren't they are cute so far? The last two come on Monday!

Tomorrow is Easter...my favorite day of the year. I won't be posting any card photos but do check back in tomorrow anyway. What a blessing it is that Jesus took our sins upon himself on that cross. Tears form in my eyes as I think of the fact that my sins helped hold him there. But then...the day of celebration...Easter. The day that Jesus triumphantly arose over sin and cemented for us all an everlasting life with him! Thank you Jesus!

Good Friday

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)

Devotion:

Jesus is the author of compassion and kindness. When facing the pain, agony, shame, and horror of the cross he couldn’t walk away – because He saw YOU. As Max Lucado says in his book The Final Week of Jesus, He saw us “right there in a middle of a world which isn’t fair … He saw you betrayed by those you love. He saw you with a body which gets sick and a heart that grows weak. He saw you in your own Garden of Gethsemane – and he didn’t want you to be alone…He would rather go to hell for you than to heaven without you.”

He saw each one of us together and individually all at one time, the good, the bad, and the ugly yet he went to the cross anyway. Thank you, Jesus for Good Friday!

Scripture and devotion from the Proverbs 31 daily devotion.

More Swap Cards

Here are a few more of the cards I got in the swap. Unfortunately I don't know who three of the creators are for these cards. Hopefully they will comment and tell us though!

So, this first Golfafella is by Dawn Barghorn. I absolutely love the combination of papers and colors she used and the twill...perfect!

This Cakeabella is one of the unnamed cards. I hope the creator of this card will tell us who she is as it is adorable! Love the color combo on this one too!
Awww...PMSabella. Who can't relate to her sometimes? Isn't this layout and color combo great? I would love to know who made it!
Lastly, is this great Cuppcakeabella card. She is so adorable! And brown and pink...totally my thing!. Did you make her?

Yeah, so I didn't really get much accomplished here at home yesterday. When I got home from shopping (you must know that it is a half hour drive for a Target, Walmart, or Costco) I was exhausted. I made spaghetti for dinner and then sat in my chair watching the college basketball semi-finals. Now I don't know much about basketball (other than the fact that I was sad that Belmont didn't pull out a win against Duke...Belmont sure did play well!) but Todd loves it so we watched some. Kyler stayed at a friends house last night and I thought I would get lots accomplished but low and behold a headache snuck in and I ended up going to bed early. Good intentions I'm telling ya. Anyway, the headache is gone for now (I think it is sinus stuff due to things starting to grow here) so I'll exercise and shower soon. Then hopefully I'll get some stamping accomplished!

I hope that you all get just a ton accomplished today. While you are at it...do something nice for someone today, k?

Bella Birthday Card Swap

Some time ago I took part in a swap through the Bellaholics group that was just for birthday cards. I figured...who doesn't need birthday cards? I'm so glad I joined that swap as all the cards I got back were fantastic! Here, in alphabetical order, are a couple of the cards...

This Fishafella card is made by Bev at Country Frog Creations. She is such a great stamper and such a nice person too!

This Curlysurpriseabella was made by Dannette Ruger. You can check out her blog HERE. Don't you love this layout? I may have to try this once or twice!

So I may get the chance to do some of my own stamping today. I have a couple of cards to get out to people from my blog, a blogging friend just announced that she is preggers so I want to make her a card and then there is a little girl that is sick that I'm going to make a card for. Lots of stuff to do but...I'm in the mood so it should all fall together fairly quickly. All that is after I exercise, shower, do some shopping in a neighboring town, and finally get home! Not much for me to do today is there? LOL!

I hope that you all have a very blessed day!

Meet Ya At The Wave Pool!

I thought that you guys might enjoy seeing some of the pictures I took during our little get away.

The first picture is of Todd and Kyler in the Laser Tag room. Now THAT was fun! I'm not sure how I got the picture to turn out so cool looking but I'm pretty sure it was night shot with me accidentally moving! LOL! Oh, did I mention I kicked their butts each time we played? Oh, yah...me the master laser tagger! LOL!
Next is the master climber. Where Todd and I failed...he succeeded! The little stinker! No, really he did a great job on the rock wall and I was, well, horrible. This is a complete turn around for Kyler as just a couple of years ago he was to afraid to try the rock wall. Wow! He sure is growing up fast, isn't he?
This is where Kyler shouted at dad "meet ya at the wave pool"! It was the cutest thing and he loved the water. Now, you have to know that Kyler is still very afraid of the water and doesn't know how to swim yet. No, I haven't been a bad mom and not tried lessons as we've tried lessons many times...he is just afraid of the water. I don't know why and try not to analyze it. He has agreed to take lessons this time though and be serious about it so maybe soon you'll be hearing a different tune from me.

So there you have our trip in a nutshell. We wanted to make those couple of days all about Kyler and aside from the Outback Steakhouse we had for dinner on Monday night...YUM...it was! Kyler's 10th birthday is coming up in three weeks! All things Spiderman have commenced here and we are deep into the web of party planning.

I hope you all had a great last couple of days...I've missed you all! Now...off to catch up on everything! Oh, WAIT...I forgot to tell you about my new signature. Beth from Freckled Fun has added this great new service to her line up. Not only will she make you a signature with a little picture but she'll load it into your dashboard so that it will automatically be there when you post a new message! All that for a measly $3. What a deal! Go check it out...leave a message for her and she get back to you quickly! Oh, and does anyone know how to get rid of the boxes around my pictures and my new signature? I know I'd have to do it in the dashboard but not sure exactly what to do. Thanks!

This is it!

Remember that Hanna card from the other day? Well...as much as I liked it a tent topper card kept coming up in my head as another type of card to try. So...I sat down to create and this is what I came up with. I love this card! I think all the accents from the little gems to the little bit of glitter is just perfect! Oh, and it smells lovely with some Misbehavin' Sista's card scent on it! You can click on it to make it a little bigger.

I am sure that some of you are wondering what the card scents are. Well, it is a brand new company that sells these little jars (that look like nail polish bottles) of specially formulated scent made just for card stock. All you do is take a little of the scent on the brush and lightly slide it along the edges of the card stock. Use more for a stronger scent and less for a more subtle effect. It really is quite a fun effect for the card and it is Todd approved...he thinks they are pretty cool too! You can also check it out HERE. I started off buying three scents...Vanilla (for birthday stuff), Misbehavin' Sista's (for stuff like this) and Fresh Linen ('cuz I love this kind of scent) and I can already see that I'll be collecting more!

Just so you know...I'll not be posting to my blog over the next few days as we take some time to go to Triple Play/Raptor Reef with Kyler. Scott will be home to work and take care of the dogs so we won't have to worry about that. I'll be staying busy so that I don't start to get anxious about Jon being gone. I did that yesterday in the shower...starting thinking about all the things that could go wrong but I prayed about it and felt better right away.

I hope you all have a peaceful Sunday and I'll "see" you in a couple of days!

Fun Mail!

I had a fun mail day the other day! First is a Bella card from Ami Cook. She and I along with some other ladies signed up to be part of what Allie is calling Postabella. Basically you sign up for how many people you'd like to send a card to (I did two) and how often (once a month for me) and then Allie assigns partners and you are all set to go. Ami made me this really cute Emmybella card. You all know how much I love pink so this card is right up my alley! It is just so happy! Thank you Ami!

The other card with FUN stuff is from Mia. Mia is an international partner that I got from Sari's blog. She sent this super cute card along with some paper flowers, images, and my very own Magnolia stamp! It was seriously fun to open up that package! Thank you Mia!

Today we sent Jon on his mission trip. All the kids and chaperones met at the church at 6:45 and they will be driving to Spokane to catch a plane to San Diego where they will rent big 'ole 15 passenger vans to drive into Mexico where they will build a house for a family that is, right now, living in conditions that I only have nightmares about. They do this trip every two years but they always go through Amore Ministries. Scott went twice while in high school (duh...of course he did!) and I believe it helped his world thinking some and helped him realize how blessed we are that we are living in this time and in this place. It isn't all work on this trip though. Thursday night and Friday they will spend in San Diego at the beach, Sea World, and one other place that I can't remember the name of right now. Then quite early Saturday morning the kids will fly home just in time to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus with their families. I'm so glad he will be home for Easter! While Jon is gone we will be going to a fun indoor water park for a couple of days. Swimming The dogs will have a sitter though so all is good!

I hope everyone has a fun and safe weekend!

Gift bag gone wrong?

I don't know girls? I wanted to take this gift bag and kick it up a notch. It holds the candy dish I showed you some time back for Kyler's teacher. Here is what I do like about it...I got to use my Nestibilities with it (lots of learning curve here and if someone reading this has them please e-mail me so I may ask you a question or two)...and I got to use my PTI set called Shapes By Design. I wanted to use the ribbon to close the bag and I do like the scallop circles but I'm not sure that I like them together. It looks almost like a ribbon, you know the kind you win in a race or something like that which I guess isn't bad but...well...I just don't know! I do love the colors (Wild Wasabi and Purely Pomegranate) though! So tell me...cute or ewwww?

For those of you doing the Bible study with me how is your reading coming? We have read about Eve, Sarah, and Rebekah at this point. God illustrates his grace and mercy with each of these women and it is a great comfort to me to know that no matter how I mess up, if I ask, he will forgive me. Praise God 'cause I mess up often! Remember our first chat e-mail will be tomorrow!

So, did you know it is Friday? Woohoo! I'm so thrilled! What do you all have cooking this weekend?

Thursday, March 13, 2008

Yikes!

So...last month when PaperTrey released their new sets I bought two. You've seen one of the cards from the Everyday Blessings set. This is from the Shapes By Design set. I wanted to participate in the SCS color challenge for this week, which is Purely Pomegranate, Basic Black, and Basic Grey. This is what I came up with. A couple of things you probably cannot see in this picture are the scoring at the bottom of the white and around the Purely Pomegranate base. Also, there is some clear glitter pen on all of the black circles. I love the simplicity of this card. Sometimes you just need to send a little not and this is perfect! Check out Nichole's blog post today to see the designer paper they are going to be releasing on Saturday. It is gorgeous!

We have a rainy dreary day today but I'm still in a good mood about it. It is almost Friday and then next week is spring break...woohoo! Oh, and I got some great mail today that you'll get to see soon. I also received my order of card scents! Go to www.card-scents.com to see what I'm talking about. My cards are about to be taken up a notch! And, guess what else? I went to the dentist today and no new cavities! Woohoo! I have to have one filling replaced because I broke it but other than that...I'm good to go! Brushing Teeth 2

I have faith that you've all had a great day so far today and I hope it only gets better for you! Happy Thursday and I'll see you tomorrow!

Hanna's back!

I signed up to be part of a small swap of Hanna cards and I started working on it yesterday. I have to say that while I like this card...I think I could do better and I'll try it again today. Isn't she cute though? I just love the sentiment...You lead, I'll follow...to the mall we go! Okay, maybe just Costco for me, but still...you get the idea!

I think I'm going to have some exciting news for my US friends soon! I can't tell you what quite yet but I really think that some of you will be quite thrilled with what my friend, Katie, is planning!

So, it is a short post day but I spent way more time in my e-mail than I had wanted sooooo....

Have a very blessed day and lets all try and do something nice for someone today!

Seeeee????

My goodness...how cute is this little girl?! This is Sammie. She is my neighbor and she came over to play with me for a little while this morning. After I had volunteered and made plans with her mom I thought to myself...what am I going to do with a 3 year old girl? I mean, seriously, I have only had boys for years now. I've come to find out that little girls are just like little boys only with higher voices! LOL! Anyway, we walked Kyler to school...okay, I walked and she got a piggyback ride...we watched a Barbie Fairy movie, colored together and then she needed a snack so she had a Kudos bar...yummy! Oh, and she is very good at counting and putting the crayons in color order...a 3 year old that puts crayons in color order...wow!

So anyway...seeeee I can entertain little girls! I know...it is shocking to me too!

One more....

So I had to use Goodluckabella again! I'm part of a swap where we send cards to our designated person either once a week or once a month. I choose to send two people a card once a month. This is one of the cards. HERE is a link to SCS with the listing of what I used with this card. I do have to say though...after making four different Goodluckabella cards I like this one the best. I love the paper (it says March, Spring, and has circles and shamrocks on it!) and the blue/green color combo is so perfect! The other thing I love, although you probably can't see it, is the glitter I put on her hat and the bow on the bucket. It is some of SU!'s new glitter in the celery color. Oh, and I also used the Melon Spica Glitter Pen on some of the shamrocks and on the sentiment. I hope you can see it if you click on the picture because it really spiffies up the card. Speaking of the sentiment...I thought it would make it so the card could be used for anything. So...is she cute or what?

I've had two questions on my Bella Bindah post that I'd like to answer. First...Shannon, the stinker that she is...asked me if my bindah's are full. No, they are not. I got two bindah's because I wanted my Bella's to have their own place to live so that would mean everything else would have to go somewhere else...so two bindahs. Plus I bought them when Em was having the free shipping so I thought I might as well take advantage of it! The second question was about the closure flaps on the page inserts. HERE is the explanation that Em gave when she debut the bindah. For a quick answer...the inserts that Bella (and non-Bella) stamps go into...the flap is on the side. The sentiment inserts have the little flap is on the top. Now, if I knew then what I know now...I would just have ordered all Bella stamp inserts and used them for sayings too as I prefer a little more room in the pockets. So...there you go! I hope this helps you a little Mary Jane.

I'm still waiting to hear back from a couple of my ladies that are interested in Bible study so that we can get started. Please e-mail me with the information that I asked for yesterday ASAP. Thanks!

I hope for you today that as you go out and about in your world that you have the chance to affect another person in a way that will make their day!
