Easter Egg Sheep

Good morning everyone! I'm finally back with a crafty post for ya! As you may know I was gone last week to be with family as my FIL had major heart surgery. I know I put on my Saturday post that he was doing well but really he is having some major ups and downs and it is scary. Please be praying for him!

Today's little project is inspired by my friend Kris. She always makes the most amazing pieces of artwork and I especially love her easel drawer box so I decided to try it. I also wanted to use one of the new Doodle Pantry images so I grabbed the Easter Egg Sheep pre-colored imaged and started creating. The pattered paper I used is from Basic Grey's Hopscotch pad and then just used some pink and brown cardstock. I love that Laurie (owner of Doodle Pantry) included colored sentiments with this Easter Egg Sheep set. I think the colored sentiments just finish off this project so well!

Don't forget about Doodle Pantry's challenge right now. All you have to do is make a card with a Doodle Pantry image (she has lots of free images too!) and you'll receive THIS beautiful Iris set! I can't wait to see what you make!

Did you know it is Ash Wednesday? The official beginning of Lent. It is tradition to give up something for the 40 day Lent period. Will you be giving up something this year? 40 days is nothing compared to the sacrifice Jesus made for us on the cross.

I hope you all have a beautiful Wednesday! See you tomorrow for another McMahon 5 Designs day!

Love your project, Lorie. The image is so cute and I think the layout and embellishments are perfect. I used to give things up for Lent but now I try to do something positive for the 40 days. Somehow I think setting money aside for a special cause or sending more cards to Operation Write Home is more important than giving up chocolate. I guess they both have their place. I'll keep your FIL in my prayers!
