Start each day with a grateful HEART.

Good morning! Yep, can you believe it? I'm back for a 2nd day in a row!  I've been having some fun in my craft room the last couple of days so I finally have several things to share--yay!  I got the weekly newsletter from SCS a couple of weeks ago and saw a tutorial for this fun box so I printed it out and decided to give it a go.  It is SO easy to make!  You should give it a try!

The photos are pretty self explanatory but I'll narrate a little.  I wanted a little sentiment on mine so I grabbed out the PTI set called Lovely Layers and picked out this 'grateful' sentiment.  I then chose one of the shapes from the set and used that for the all over stamping although I didn't use a bunch of stamping.  This cardstock is PTI Simply Chartreuse.  (As a side note, I tried their new inks (well, new to me) and I love it!)
I made this for a friend whose birthday was a couple of weeks ago so I added a little birthday sentiment to the top.  I started using SU! whisper white cardstock for inside the box but yeah, it takes WAY to much paper to use cardstock so I cut some of the whisper white but used mostly copy paper.
And a final photo for you.  I just realized I didn't get a photo of the sides so you could see the other stamp I used.  Oh, well...you get the idea, right?

If you'd like to see another sample of this box my friend Patti made one and posted hers this morning too!  See it HERE.  I guess great minds think a like!  Isn't her card and box just beautiful?  She is so talented!

Well, anyway...I am off to get my day started!  I'll be back--TOMORROW!  I know, can you believe it?  Have an amazing day!

Oh my word, Lorie! This is wonderful - I would not have thought to stamp a sentiment on the side! Beautifully done, and what a special gift for your friend! Thanks for the shout out, my friend! I'll link yours up too, so our peeps can see some variations of this great set! Hugs...

Great idea for a gift and your box is gorgeous! Love the color. I did see this project at SplitCoast but I haven't tried it yet. Guess I will add it to my list! LOL!
