Good morning friends! I know, I know it has been sometime since I posted last and I'll tell ya why. It seems like every time I sit down to craft it is such a struggle to come up with even a mediocre card (today's is an example). I think some people would call it losing their mojo...I would call it frustrating.
Anyway, this image is so cute...is it not? It features the image and sentiment from the Doodle Pantry set called Snowbirdie. The COLORED image is so fun with its pattered colors! I couldn't decide which patterned papers I wanted to use so I thought I'd try the green and blue and I love it together! I kept trying different things to dress this card up a bit and nothing really worked. I added faux stitching and some stitching around the main image as well as (even though you can't see it) smooch in some of the snow and the pom pom on top of the birdie's hat. The layout for this card is from this week's CPS sketch.
Make sure you check out Doodle Pantry's digital challenge running until the 24th at 8pm CST. All you have to do is use a Doodle Pantry image (not just sentiment), link it up to the blog and you will not only receive the Quirky Penguin set for free but you'll be in the running for one of two $15 gift certificates to Doodle Pantry! No matter what you get the cute Quirky Penguin set for free!
I'm working on more cards so I will for sure be back on Saturday for the Sweet Stop Sketch. Hopefully I'll see ya tomorrow too. Have a wonderful Thursday!
Thought of the day: Sometimes in the wind of change we find our direction.

Wow, love today's thought, Lorie. Your card is perfect! That sketch is awesome, and this image works so well with it. I understand your frustration, I think we all experience that at times, especially when facing deadlines. However, with this card, I'm glad you stopped where you did. Sometimes less is more, and this card looks perfect! I do love that image, and need to find time to create with it! Thanks for sharing - have a good weekend.
LOVE this image!!
So cute!
I hear ya about the mojo sometimes
I call them, mini brain farts! LOL
Sometimes even the BEST intensions don't come together so well!!
BIG HUG!!
LOVE your card!
Lorie girl you are too hard on yourself. I think this card is just adorable. Funny, when I can't seem to get a card to work right for me I just keep adding stuff to the card. My thought - junk it up then no one notices. LOL! It happens to all of us but I really think your card is adorable! =)
Hugs, Sarah
Lorie, this card is perfect just the way it is. I love it. The colors and your design rock!
I adore the card and think is just great the way it is. We all lose the ability to think creatively sometimes but this card certainly does not reflect any such thing. Love it!
