My Scrapbooking Goals for 2012

Good morning! Well, I'm back to share my crafting resolution with you today.  My crafting resolution centers around photos and scrapping those photos.  I have done a very poor job of scrapping my kids' lives and I want to get better so, hopefully, these new goals will help!

The two biggest things are the 'scan 20 older photos a week.'  That doesn't sound  like much but I think it will be a little more difficult than it sounds.  I'll know today.  I did go in and find a pile of old photos so I'm set to go with it for today.  The other big thing is P52.  Basically that is creating a journal of our lives in 2012.  I'm going to take several photos each week and put them into a one or two page layout.  Now, I envision this to include the photos I take of things we do together, like the Rose Bowl game, so I don't think I'm going toooo far outside my comfort zone.  Mostly, I want to have fun doing it.  One other, more minor goal is to scrap more about me.  I know I wish I had more about my mom and I just don't want my kids to think that way in the future so...more about me it is.

I know this is going to sound hokey but all of this just because of the MMS software.  It truly has made my scrapbooking easier, more fun, and (overall) less expensive and time consuming.  If you have any inclination that you'd like to get into digital scrapbooking you really should give MMS a try! Alright, for those of you that digi scrap I got the kit from Gotta Pixel and it is called New Year, New Me.

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!  See you Monday!

Thought of the day:  It's not who you are that holds you back it's who you think your not.

Wonderful resolution for the new year. I'm wishing you luck. I'd love to get organized enough to scrapbook but until I retire that's not likely to happen. Maybe by the time I have grandkids. LOL!

Ha ha, I'm already retired, and STILL not organized! How funny. Your scrapbook goals are wonderful. I agree about our kids not having much info on us. With so much being done digitally, we no longer write as many letters, don't need to fill kids in on day to day activities, with FB, Skype, and our blogs. I commend you for taking this step, and I love todays page!!!

What a great goal... I have boxes of photo's for each of my child since there was no such thing as digital back then... I need to scan and scrap them, too

Okay... I've done a tiny bit of digital scrapbooking (LOVE IT) but then... what do you do with it after you create all your pages?? Do you send them to a printer to print off? Do you print them yourself, given they are 8.5x11 or smaller?? Mine tend to be the 12x12 and I have no idea what to do with them. I don't have MMS software so I prolly won't get much more done. But I might be tempted to buy the software if I knew what to do with the pages. If you send them somewhere to print, it is expensive?
