Birthday Blooms

I think I've mentioned here before that I have a senior that I 'angel'.  What that means is I send them a card or little giftie once a week to brighten their day.  My senior is lonely as her husband just passed away.  Anyway, May 6th is her birthday and as usual for me I was a last minute Lucy and just did her gift, got it all packaged up, and will go off to her just in time to arrive for her birthday.  Phew!

What did I make?  Well, according to the profile I got she likes tea so I bought some Treaditional Medicinal Teas (peppermint and Hibiscus) and made a little container to put the bags in.  I also ordered her a CD from Amazon though I have no idea when that might arrive (grrr!).  And, of course, I made a card.  They don't match per se but they do use papers from the same pack and colors too.  Oh!  Colors...I did not use is Blackberry Bliss and looks black in my photos.  :(

The stamps and dies are from Jaded Blossom (Daisies, Seeds of Friendship, Supersized Birthday greetings, Mini Tag Dies 2 and Birthday Dies) and the SVG for the box is from Doodle Pantry.  I used the sketch from this weeks sketch challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  Oh, hey...have you seen the new stamping tool called MISTI?  Uh, yeah...if you  haven't you need to check it out.  It is a bit spendy but I LOVE it!  I've never been much of a two-step stamper but with the MISTI it was so easy to do!  I used it to stamp the flower on my card.

Well, that is it for now.  I do have some baby cards that I need to edit and share so maybe I'll get that done this weekend.  Have a wonderful Saturday!
