Happy Birthday Grandson!

Happy Monday friends!  Can you believe I'm posting on a Monday?  Well...it's because tomorrow is my grandson's 2nd birthday!  Yep...I can hardly believe he's turning two!  He brings us such joy and such a reminder of how full of blessings our lives are.  I thought I'd share with you the card and centerpiece I made for W's birthday.  There is a new banner as well but I don't have a photo of that yet so I'll share that later.
Our grandson loves Paw Patrol so, of course, this nana had to make the card and decorations not only with Paw Patrol but also his favorite PP characters, Chase and Rubble.  Chase is the police pup and Rubble is the construction pup.
For the centerpieces I purchased the PP files on Etsy and just sized, printed them out, laminated them, and attached them to wooden sticks (so they can be played with later!) then stuck them in glasses I got from the Dollar Tree.  Simple, cute, and something, I think, works well for a two year old's party.

Soon I'll be sharing what I made for decorations for my youngest son's graduation from high school.  I think I'm all done making decorations...okay, I'm going to call it good for the decorations because, frankly,  I want to enjoy this time too...no more stressing...high school is almost over for all of us!  Woohoo!

Okay, friends...stop back by tomorrow for my Great Impressions Stamps post!

Sweet Baby

Good morning!  This posting thing may become a habit again...could be fun!  I made another baby card as we had one more gift from my husband and I and a couple of the great-grandparents for my son and his wife.  They did not have a crib yet and we just couldn't let the baby come home without out a crib sooooo...we all pitched in and got them one!

So, above is the card that I made for this gift.  I love the paper colors and the little clothespins...so cute!  Again, both boy and girl colors.
So, the crib came un-assembled of course and the box was huge and quite heavy...120 lbs or so but Todd managed to get it in the bed of the truck then Scott helped him carry it in.  It isn't together yet but when it is together it should look something like the photo below.  We just have to find them a mattress and a changing pad.  I love that there is storage...three drawers on the side and two below.  I understand from the reviews on Amazon that they aren't huge drawers but they are better than nothing!

So there you have it.  I'm working on another card but I'm not loving my coloring right now (it is a bit rusty after not having colored much for a year and a half) so we shall see if I go with it or not.

Right now, I'm off to exercise and watch last nights Dancing With The Stars!  Have a wonderful day! From Millan.Net

Oh, Baby

Don't be afraid...the world is not ending but yes, yes I am posting today!  Crazy, right?  Well, it turns out that things have changed a bit in my life and I am no longer working outside the home which is great...I get to concentrate on Origami Owl and be creative...yay!

Today I'm attending a baby shower for my daughter-in-law...yep, really it is for my grandbaby.  Nope, we don't know the sex of the baby yet as my son and DIL do not want to know and I'm totally fine with that.  Anyway, I wanted to make a card to go with my gift rather than buying one (yes, I've stooped to buying cards...shame on me!).  I've just recently purchase the stamp set Baby, We've Grown set from Stampin' Up! so I decided to put it to use.  I used an old sketch from the Clean & Simple blog and papers from the Fresh Prints designer series paper stack.  I didn't want traditional pink and blue so I thought this would be perfect and it is...I love it!

Ribbon Carousel challenge which is HERE.  You may want to check it out...all you have to do is add ribbon to your card and who doesn't do that already?

So, there you have it!  I hope you all have a fantastic day and I hope to see you again very soon!
