Pow, zap, zoom...

Hello! Happy Spring!  I know I haven't been around much so if you happen to see this...I hope you enjoy!

Today is my youngest son's 19th birthday...yep, 19.  My goodness how the years have flown.  What is super fun is that, while growing and maturing, he is still just a big kid as you can tell from the card I made him.
Truly this is just a clean and simple card with this month's Reverse Confetti sketch as my inspiration.  with a pieced image of one of his favorite show's characters...The Flash.  The svg file is from a past blog hop with SVG Cutting Files and is no longer available though you should head over to their blog to check out their cut club because it is totally fantastic and a trial month is just $5 for a limited time!.  The stamps are from Jaded Blossom's stamp sets So Many Birthdays and Super Hero.

Well, that is it...short and sweet.  I hope, someday, I'll get back to blogging regularly but for now I'll just be popping in now and then.  Take care all!

Happy Birthday Grandson!

Happy Monday friends!  Can you believe I'm posting on a Monday?  Well...it's because tomorrow is my grandson's 2nd birthday!  Yep...I can hardly believe he's turning two!  He brings us such joy and such a reminder of how full of blessings our lives are.  I thought I'd share with you the card and centerpiece I made for W's birthday.  There is a new banner as well but I don't have a photo of that yet so I'll share that later.
Our grandson loves Paw Patrol so, of course, this nana had to make the card and decorations not only with Paw Patrol but also his favorite PP characters, Chase and Rubble.  Chase is the police pup and Rubble is the construction pup.
For the centerpieces I purchased the PP files on Etsy and just sized, printed them out, laminated them, and attached them to wooden sticks (so they can be played with later!) then stuck them in glasses I got from the Dollar Tree.  Simple, cute, and something, I think, works well for a two year old's party.

Soon I'll be sharing what I made for decorations for my youngest son's graduation from high school.  I think I'm all done making decorations...okay, I'm going to call it good for the decorations because, frankly,  I want to enjoy this time too...no more stressing...high school is almost over for all of us!  Woohoo!

Okay, friends...stop back by tomorrow for my Great Impressions Stamps post!

My First Ever Vinyl Project!!

One of the things I purchased the Silhouette Cameo for was to be able to cut vinyl to make fun gifts and projects.  What is funny is that I've been too overwhelmed by all that comes with vinyl that I hadn't tried it...until yesterday.  I wanted to make a birthday gift with it though so I put on my big girl panties and got to work.  First I picked out a fun sentiment to put on the glass of the frame I had picked out.  The sentiment was easy to pick because it said exactly what my friend and I talk about...that we are perfectly fine with our age and that we can't wait to get to the next big step.  So, ready to see the gift?

"My favorite age is now"  How perfect this that?  I added a couple of fun little hearts in complimentary colors as well.  Now, since this was my first time making something with vinyl I did mess up and the sentiment is not centered the way I'd like but I've got a couple of tips from people that will lead me in the right direction of getting it perfect next time.  There are actually two pieces of glass in this frame and the sentiment is on the second pieces of glass.

And then, of course, I needed to have a card and packaging so I threw this little set together.  I purchased all three of the files for these projects from the Silhouette Design Store.  Here is a link to the card, a link to the gift sentiment, and a link to the gift bag sentiment.

So there you have my crafty Saturday!  I hope you got some time to play in your crafty space this weekend, too!

make a wish

Good morning friends!  Another day another fun card to show you!  My husband's grandma's birthday is next week so I wanted to make something special for her.  It was between this card and another (which I may still make the other card, too).  As this was coming together I did not love it but after I sponged it, highlighted it with some gel pen and had it all together I decided it is cute!  What do you think?

There isn't a really defined place to write but the blank back side of the cake/plate would be a great space with interfering with the cake design.

So, another question...if you were to purchase this card...how much would you pay for it?
