Day 5 MHKDesigns New Release - The Write Stuff

And here we are...our last day of the release.  I hope you've had a wonderful week checking out all the designers amazing projects!  Now...onto the new set The Write Stuff:

I can see SO many uses for this set...I love that old phone and typewriter...fun!
I think this image and sentiment are perfect together to send to my elder relatives so I made up a card to throw in the mail in January when everyone is ready for some fun mail!  Again, this is just paper I had in my stash, a few enamel dots and it is ready to put in the mail.

Now make sure you hop on over to the MHKDesigns blog for a chance to win not only this gorgeous digital stamp set but all of the sets we'll be releasing this week!  Don't forget that we also have a challenge going on as well...check that out HERE!

Day 4 MHKDesigns New Release - Fanciful Feathers

Here we are on day four of our new release and today is Fanciful Feathers.

What a fun set this one is, huh?  The feathers are so gorgeous and so many uses for this set and the sentiments.  I went with a little bag for treats:
I've had these bags hanging around my croffice forever so I pulled one out to make this card.  The sentiment is recolored from the set and the paper is actually a pad of Christmas paper but I think it is perfect for a warm little gift for a friend.  A little big of vanilla/gold twine, some enamel dots and it is ready for giving!

Now make sure you hop on over to the MHKDesigns blog for a chance to win not only this gorgeous digital stamp set but all of the sets we'll be releasing this week!  Don't forget that we also have a challenge going on as well...check that out HERE!

Day 3 MHKDesigns New Release - Stitched Tea Party

Woohoo...here we are at day 3 of our new release!  Today's new set is Stitched Tea Party:

I just love how sweet this set is and the sentiments are so fun!  Once again I decided to make a Christmas card with this set.  I started with some kraft paper and embossed it with an embossing folder.  I used my COPIC markers to color in just the poinsettia flowers.  The merry sentiment is a die that I have and then I used some seam binding for the bow.

Day 2 MHKDesigns New Release - Realistic Roses

Welcome back to day 2 of our new release week!  Today's new release is Realistic Roses!

Ummm...seriously...is this just gorgeous!  I absolutely LOVE this set!

I have seen some gorgeous red roses at Christmas time and these roses reminded me of them so I decided to go with a Christmas card for this release project.  The Merry Christmas sentiment is from the Perfect Poinsettia set.  I also LOVE this card made with this fabulous set!

Day 1 MHKDesigns New Release - Pretty Petunias

Good morning and welcome to post 1 of 2 today.  I'm excited to share with you about our first December new release over at MHKDesigns.  Check out the card I made with Pretty Petunias:

First, here is the lovely full digital stamp set.  Isn't it gorgeous with such wonderful sentiments?

For my card sample I used one of the sentiments and paired it with some pretty, patterned papers that I've had in my stash for awhile.  The white paper for the base is actually shimmery paper.  I've added some pearls for a bit of a more vintage feel.

December Documented Day 4

Good Tuesday friends!  Here I am to share with you December Documented Day 4.  Day four's entry is all about our Christmas card.  It took a couple of days to get photos of all of our kids so we could order the cards but we did it!

The cards will be going out in the mail today!  It's a smaller page day in my album and a shorter post here on my blog, too.

Stop back in a little while for Day 1 of the MHKDesigns December release, too!

December Documented Day 3

Here we are at Day 3!

Saturday was just kinda a normal day in my December.  I had a lovely time at the Care Net Volunteer brunch at a local restaurant.  I love getting together with that group of women.  In a day and age where things are so hostile right now it is wonderful to sit with a group of like minded women who love the Lord and all want to encourage Pro Abundant Life!  I count some of the women I volunteer with as some of my closest friends.  The fun lotion and candy we received from the board was super fun too!

Then in the evening we had our neighbor across the street over for tacos and margaritas.  This neighbor has had some health issues this year and for the last couple of months a family member was staying with her (along with her grandson who is going to our local university) to assist her each day...all that to say...we haven't gotten to chat with her much and we missed her!  It was a lovely evening and I'm looking forward to doing it again!

See ya tomorrow for Day 1 of the MHKDesigns December release and Day 4 of my December Documented!

December Documented Day 2

Day 2, December Documented

Day 2 is about our outside lights and our grandchildren's response to them.  I hope you enjoy the story!

I asked my DIL to text me when she was on her way to our house so we could be on the lookout for them to arrive and when they arrived I flew out the door.  William, who is 2 1/2, wasn't too sure about the lights (and sounds...we have a speaker that plays Christmas songs while the lights are on).  William LOVES his papa so papa showed him the lights first and I got a couple of shots then I showed William the lights and papa got a photo.  Will wasn't too thrilled about the whole thing but that's okay!!  Hannah loved the lights though!
Our lights came from  neighbor...you can read about it on my flip page.  Have I mentioned...I really love this tradition?  Oh, and hey...can you see a decorating oopsie we made?  Leave a comment if you do!!!

Day 3 tomorrow!

December Documented Wish List and Day 1

Happy Saturday friends!  I'm going to share with you my Wish List and Day 1 in my December Documented.  You may find, as we go along, that I've blurred out certain things I've written or typed and that is just because it is more personal than I want to share in a public forum.  Anyway, here we go!
So the very first 'page' in my book is my wish list...things I 'wish' for this Christmas season.  You'll see that there is nothing on my list that is a commercial item.  The older I get the more I desire experiences and time with family and friends.  It is only December 3rd and I already feel like I'm a bit behind on my list so I feel like I need to make a schedule of sorts so I can get some of these done though I will not pressure myself or feel bad if I don't accomplish something on the list.

So day one I decided to document about our Christmas Tree(s).  We have a new space for our main tree this year.  We decided to put it in our little dining area so that the grandkiddos have more space to play in our living room (which is not large either).  We have also added a little 3' tree just for my 21 Starbucks ornaments...well, 22...I don't have this year's ornament up yet.  ☕
The second part of the first day talks about the Starbucks ornaments and shows my hubby and I putting the tree up which became a mom and dad only event this year.  Todd is amazing at helping out with this task (as I don't really care for decorating the tree...I just want it up) and I love the way it looks.  I also 💕 the way the lights twinkle on the wall when it gets darker in the dining room.

Overall I couldn't be more pleased with the way this album has started.  I'm so pleased to be doing it this year and I'm looking forward to sharing more with you!

Jaded Blossom GDer starting my December Documented

Good morning friends and Happy Saturday!  Today I'm pleased to be the guest designer on the Jaded Blossom blog!  There are always so many things I could make each time I sit down to craft however this December I'll be concentrating quite a lot on my December project called December Documented (AKA December Daily) so I thought I'd use some of the awesome JB Dies and Stamps on my project.  Check it out...

So above is the front of my December Documented album...the inside pages are about 6"x8" and the outside about 8 3/4"x8 3/4".  The album comes with the stripe portion on the side and I've decided to use Simple Stories Classic Christmas paper and embellishments for this project.  I had fun adding my December Documented title to the flags from Flag Dies 2 and the letters/year numbers are from Jaded Blossom's Alphabet Dies.  I've also used Christmas Dies for the candy cane (candy canes are my favorite Christmas candy!) and holly on each corner.

Above is my 'intentions' page although I like the prompt of 'my why' better so I went with that.  Again, the letters are from the Alphabet Dies and the star at the top of the tree from the Star Dies.  I've used the Oh Christmas Tree Stamp and cut it out with my Brother Scan n Cut (love that thing!!).  I've added a strip of washi stamped with one of the Holiday Designer Tapes set and then used the little deer/heart stamp from Holiday Sweater Mug (this was a freebie stamp in November).  All of the papers are from the 6x6 Classic Christmas pad (my 12x12 pad didn't arrive on time to use it for this purpose).  The sweater trim and twine I have in my stash.

So, there you have it!  The beginning of my December Documented album using a ton of Jaded Blossom stamps!
