The Dani-Lorie Project

Morning friends (unless you are looking at this at night 'cuz I pushed the wrong button then...good evening!). I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Last night was a frustrating night in my stamp room but I have a card to show you.

Now, I do not want to hear you laughing at this card! I chose the challenge this week and it was to be embossing with our Cuttlebug. Well, I used a Cuttlebug folder and my Big Shot but you get the idea. I wanted to try a new to me technique with the double embossing on the card and thought it would be nice to use one of the stamps that I got from Dani through her Ippity business. The patterned paper under the embossed area is from SEI. I do have a favorite part of this card and that is the inside. The simplicity of the 'thanks" (like it says on the front...go figure) and the paper are just perfect together, I think at least.

Now, I'm sure Dani has an amazing card so make sure you click HERE to see it and don't forget to check out the {ippity} stamps she has for sale! Oh, and make sure you stop by tomorrow as my card for the Scrap-Creations Challenge is looking pretty good!

Now, go...have a wonderful day!

The Dani-Lorie Project

Happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and that you finished up everything you wanted to!

Today is another installment of the Dani-Lorie Project which is when my friend, Dani, and I take turns challenging each other in our card making. This week's challenge is from Dani. She challenged me to make a birthday card with my favorite color combo. The problem is...I don't have a favorite color combo. Dani just told me to pick my favorite color and make a card with it. I love pink so I had to choose a pink. Although you can't tell because my photo is so horribly out of color I chose Rose Red. The stamp set is another of Verve's new sets called Dream Big and the sentiment is from Verve's set with purchase called Framed Wishes. I also used MFT's grass die. A few buttons and I was all set!

You know you need to jump over to Dani's BLOG to see what she made as it is always something wonderful! It is sure to be a great start to your day!

The Dani-Lorie Project

Happy Monday everyone! Can you believe the weekend has come and gone already? Wow! I hope you got everything accomplished that you wanted!

Today is another edition of the Dani-Lorie Project. You know...it is when Dani and I take turns choosing a challenge. Well, it was my turn to choose this week and I chose no pattern paper. Now, really...what was I thinking. Seriously, just go back and look at my previous posts...I'll wait...SEE!?! I used patterned paper on almost every card I make! For me, no patterned paper means a clean and simple card. I think this card would qualify for that but the simple part...yeah, no. I spent forever on this card getting it the way I wanted.

Beyond the Dani-Lorie Challenge this also works for three others (I know...crazy!). First, the clean & simple sketch for the week, next Flutter By Wednesday (it is an open week), and finally Wee Memories which is Buttons, Brads, and Bling. While you can see the Tiny Twinkles on the card and butterfly you cannot see that the wings are completely glittered up. Love those at you Spica pens!

Make sure you head over to Dani's BLOG to see what she made...I know it will be wonderful and while you are at it make it an incredible day!

Thank you...

Morning everyone! Just a quick card to show you this morning. Remember that Dani-Lorie Project challenge from earlier this week? Well, this is the reject card.

This image is from a set that I bought from Dani. The image is from an {ippity} set called Devoted. I love how simple and pretty this card is.

Not much to say today but I hope that you are enjoying your weekend!

The Dani-Lorie Project

Hello everyone! Welcome to installment number two of the Dani-Lorie Project. I don't know if you remember but two weeks ago I introduced that my friend, Dani, and I have decided to challenge each other every other week and post what we come up with to our blogs. I think it will be a wonderful way to keep us stamping...which if you didn't notice didn't go to well for me last week and won't for the next couple of weeks, sorry!

It was Dani's turn to choose the challenge and she chose Floral Silhouette. What?!? I wasn't sure what to do with it so...I made a card and it wasn't this one. This is my second try as my first card wasn't a floral but a leaf silhouette. Ugh! I do like the results of my 2nd card though. It is all SU! and I'm going to use it as an anniversary card.

Alright...be sure to check out what the fabulous Dani did for her card HERE.

I'll see you tomorrow for the Going Grey challenge!

The Dani-Lorie Project

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a good weekend. Mine was okay. I currently have no children at home and it is a very strange feeling indeed!

Starting today and continuing every other Monday you will see a card that my friend Dani and have have challenged each other to make. I decided I wanted to see more of her wonderful cards and in the process I know it would make me be more faithful to my card making and posting so it is a win-win situation, right? I chose the first challenge which is a summer birthday card. Summer mean bright fun colors so I chose to use Cosmo Cricket'sDeLovely papers and Matilda Muffinbread from Stamping Bella on my card. Over there to the right you will see a close up of all of the sparkle this card has. This card also works for two challenges...one is the sketch challenge over at Paper Play Challenges and then the layering challenge at Flutter By Wednesdays. I think I have plenty of layers here don't you? Oh, and this card also qualifies for the Pollycraft Monday Challenge which is a birthday card! Woohoo!

So...hop on over to Dani's blog at Dani Gets Crafty and see what she created. I can guarantee it will be wonderful!

Oh, and have a wonderful Monday, too!
