Pink, Red, and White

Happy Thursday friends!  I don't typically like color challenges all that much but Stamp Anniething is having their first challenge so I thought I'd join it.  It is to use the colors Pink, Red, and White.  Well, I love that color combo so why not give it a go, right?

I actually started off making this card by coloring the image.  I just chose some pink and red Copics hoping I could make it work for a card.  After I had her colored I saw this week's Freshly Made Sketch and decided I could make that work for what I wanted to do.  I'm still pretty new to the shaker card idea but I love this heart die from the Heart of Hearts Dies at Craftin Desert Divas so I knew I had to try it.  I've used SU! dazzling diamonds glitter paper (and boy is it glittery!) running it through my big shot with the die and then just pushing the little hearts that were cut by the die out and putting them aside.  I then found some acetate (I didn't think I had any!) and made the shaker.  I was going to originally use sequins and such but decided I would probably need to many so I thought a patterned paper and the cut out little hearts would work and it did!!  I added Kelly to the card and ran one of the arrows (from the same set linked above) through the big shot and placed it on top of the die.  I also added one of the die cut hearts to Kelly's shirt.  That panel is, of course, popped up and placed on the patterned paper and then both are on the base of SU!s shimmer paper.

Inside I stamped the Jaded Blossom Valentine Luggage Tag image and then layered in red with the white base.  Perfect, I think!  Soooo...what do you think of my Valentine Card in Pink, Red, and White?

I'm entering this into the following challenges:
Freshly Made Sketches - sketch 221
Stampin' Anniething - Pink, Red, and White
The Sisterhood of Crafers - The word love or a heart
Creative Card Crew - Anything Goes
Paper Play Sketches - Inaugral Chalenge show a card made with any sketch

Forever Yours

It's Tuesday...that means we've shaken off the dreaded Monday and are onto the fun of the week, right?  Excellent!  How about I share with you another card I made with some fabulous Great Impressions Stamps?  Okay...
I've made another Valentine's Day card using the following stamps:  E859S Forever Yours,A54S Hearts & Dots, and A78S Hugs & Kisses.  For this card I used papers from Jillibean Soup/Dutch Mustard Soup (which I've had forever), the main panel/wave panel is cut with a frame from Craftin' Desert Divas, and the heart is from SU!.  I also used Illuminate smooch on each of the solid hearts on the top layer of the card.  I LOVE the new to me Forever Yours stamp as it is exactly how I feel about my hubby!
Inside is just a little bit of patterned paper that was left from the main panel and plenty of room to write a sappy message.  *wink, wink*

I would love for you to come and join our monthly challenge.  If you use a stamp from the Great Impressions online store, please link it up in our Customer Gallery, too!

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Turtley In Love

Happy Monday!  I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!  As I type this it is a beautiful day here in my little corner of the world...in the 40's temperature wise, sunny, and blue sky...ahhh...I LOVE it!  Anyway, it is Monday here on my blog so that means it is time for a Too Cute By Jessica file share.  I really love working with Jessica's SVG's.  They are so easy and so darn cute!
For the outside I used a brand new file from the Turtley In Love set...ADORBS, right?!?  The paper is from Be Mine paper pad from Pebbles, the little flag is from Craftin Desert Diva's and I used the large die from the Card Mat Dies for the main panel.  A little bit of twine and I was all set...so fun!
Inside I just stamped a Valentine's greeting leaving some room to write a personal message to finish it off.  I'm sending this card to my grandma for Valentine's Day this year.  I will be making a card for my husband grandma too so watch for that soon!

I have some exciting news...

Birthday Rose

Good morning and welcome to my stop at the PDE Linky Party!  Today I'm sharing with you a card that I made for my friend Eva.  This one was truly a challenge for me as I don't normally color images that are this large but I have to tell you that I LOVE how it turned out!  Clean, simple, and just downright pretty!
The rose image is from the SU! set called Rose Wonder and the sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's So Many Birthday's 2 set.  I added some crystals and then used a glitter pen on the flowers and rose itself just for some shimmer.

Our challenges at PDE Linky Party are always anything goes so I hope you'll hop on over, follow us, and participate in the challenges!

Ding, dong...

Welcome back to another Tuesday with Great Impressions Stamps!  As is usual I'm super excited to share with you the project I made with my Great Impressions Stamps.  Once again, I'm on a Valentine's theme.  This time, though, it is a fun door hanger...check it out:
So for this fun project I used my cameo to cut the shape of the door hanger.  The Great Impressions stamps I used are:  D474S Happy Valentine (in melon mambo on the little tag) and A54S Hearts & Dots (in real red on the red heart).  My paper is old SU! designer series paper and that includes the heart on the outside.  As you can see in the photo there is just enough room in the pocket to add a little chocolate square for the recipient 'cuz really...who doesn't love chocolate?!

I also would love for you to come and join our monthly challenge.  If you use a stamp from the Great Impressions online store, please link it up in our Customer Gallery, too!
I'm also entering this in the following challenges:

#awesomesauce

Happy Monday Friends!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend!  We didn't get too much more snow since Saturday so that makes me happy.  It's Monday so I get to share a card with you today that I made for my son with a fabulous Too Cute By Jessica file.  He reached a goal he had set for himself at work so I wanted to make sure that we acknowledged his hard work.
Since my son works at a movie theater I had to, of course, make a card that included something theater-ish so I used the camera file from the Movie Props cut file set.  Perfect cut file, wouldn't you say?  I had to use this fun sentiment from Jaded Blossom as I say that regularly and I added a little texture to the background paper with a star splatter stamp and the dies for the squares and shaker are from JB as well.  This is my first shaker card in a long time and I love it.  The fun sequins and stars are from Craftin' Desert Divas.  Inside I just put a little more patterned paper and made sure I had room to write a little note.
Don't forget that there is still a challenge going on at the Too Cute By Jessica blog with a New Beginnings theme.  I hope you'll jump on over and link up one of your fabulous creations in our challenge!

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:
Brown Sugar Challenge - Movie Madness
The Crafter's Cafe - Male Card

Let's Make Music

Happy Saturday all!  It is snowing like crazy right now at my house...we have at least 3" with plenty more coming down.  It was just starting to melt a little and be not so slippery too dang it!  Oh well!  Onto more fun things...a card I made for my hubby!
Back in December my hubby and I went away for a couple of days and I like to make a card for each day we are gone and this was one of them.  The paper is something I've had forever and just works perfectly for this card.  I used the Music To My Ears set from Jaded Blossom for the image and sentiments.  The cassette is embossed in white and I used a little background stamp from the Jaded Blossom set Party Splatters in yellow (my hubby's favorite color) to add one little pop of color.

That's it for today folks.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend and see you back here on Monday!

More Handmade Christmas Gifts

Good morning!  I'm still working on showing some of the fun gifts I made for Christmas and am excited to show you the cups I made for the fabulous friends I volunteer with at Care Net.  The cups I bought at a group here on Facebook and the tags I made with a SU! tag kit - - I especially love the tags with the jingle bells!
I wish I had taken better photos but each cup (yes, they are those cute wine glass cups) has a name on it, some candy inside and a pretty tag on the outside.  I added the straws because I had them and I thought they were an adorable addition!

Spikey the Porcupine!

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Tuesday means Great Impressions Stamps here on my blog and I'm super excited to show you what I made with another cute stamp from great Impressions!
For this fun Valentine's Day gift I used the following stamps:  E825 Spikey the Porcupine and D474 Happy Valentines.  Please click on the photos to make them bigger for you so you can see just how cute that Spikey is!  I used a wine tag die and some lovely patterned paper for the base of the hanger.  The sentiment was stamped on coordinating patterned paper then trimmed to hang off the edges a bit.  Some twine and a little bit of bling really just finish this off perfectly!
Here is a side view.  This is a foaming hand soap that is green as I thought it would contrast well with all the pink on the tag.

Thank you all for stopping by today!  I would love for you to come and join our monthly challenge and if you use a stamp from the Great Impressions online store, please link it up in our Customer Gallery too!

I like big cups...

Okay, show of hands...who likes their coffee in the morning?  I know I do but it may be more because it's what I've always done rather than a 'need'.  I also love sitting out on the porch with my hubby during nice weather with the paper and a cup 'o joe so yeah...probably more about what coffee means rather than the jolt of caffeine for me.  I digress...I showed you last month a cute decoration I made for my coffee center for the Christmas holiday and I decided I'd go ahead and update it to something for Valentine's Day.  I have to say...I love how cute this turned out!
I used the completely adorable Coffee Mouse image from Too Cute By Jessica for the main image of this decoration and yes! the fun sentiment comes with the coffee mouse file!  From that point I just went ahead and decorated it up almost like a scrapbook page as it is 8"x8".  The paper are from an old retired SU! paper pack, other stamps and die cuts are from Jaded Blossom.
And here is what it looks like by my coffee center.  I really LOVE it!  Don't forget Too Cute By Jessica is having New Beginnings challenge that you can check out HERE an I hope you'll play along!

I'm going to add this to the following challenges:
Brown Sugar Challenges - Anything Goes
Crafty Gals Corner - Anything Goes
A Bit More Time To Craft - Anything Goes

Tuesday is my day...

Tuesday is the day of the week that you'll get to see the fun Great Impressions stamps that I'm using here in my Croffice so here we go with a card that is sure to make you smile!

Yep, I've jumped right into the Valentine's Day mode and made a very manly if not vintage looking card for one of my boys (I have four at my house to give cards to!).  I've used A54S Hearts & Dots as a  little background stamp and I Must-ache You E823 for the main image.  This mustache totally reminds me of those muscle men from way back with their fancy 'stache.  :)  I have had the paper on this card just laying around forever (well, not laying around but you know what I mean) and I thought it would be perfect for a male card and I was correct!

Don't forget about the Lovey Dovey Challenge we are having over on the Great Impressions blog!  There is a great stamp to be won so I hope I'll see you over there!

New Beginnings...

Happy Monday friends!  Despite all of my posting the last couple of days I actually haven't created a whole bunch as I've been sick since the Monday after Christmas.  I am starting to feel better, though, and had to make a card to go with a shower gift (I didn't go to the shower though as I didn't want the mom-to-be to catch my cold) so I sat down and made this adorable card...
For this card I used the cute sitting boy file from the Baby Boy Set at Too Cute By Jessica as the star of the card.  Yes, this mama knows she is having a boy so it was fun to create a card with that in mind.  I used patterned paper from MME called Out of the Blue, a couple of stars from the Star Dies as well as a sentiment from Jaded Blossom.

Just a note for you all...tomorrow starts a new challenge at Too Cute By Jessica so I hope you will head on over there and join us.  Just a note about the rules...you do not have to use a TCBJ file just follow the theme so stop on over tomorrow and check it out!!

I'll be back tomorrow so I hope to see you then!

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

I put my thinking cap on and decided that we all love to give something sweet to our loved ones so why not make a box to put it in?
For this box I used the following stamps:  With Love (#B204) and Love Bowls (#C394) along with papers, ribbon, and a box from my croffice...if you want to know specific items just leave me a comment or email me for more info.  I think a homemade brownie, lemon bar, or something of the like would be absolutely perfect inside this box!
