Ding, dong...

Welcome back to another Tuesday with Great Impressions Stamps!  As is usual I'm super excited to share with you the project I made with my Great Impressions Stamps.  Once again, I'm on a Valentine's theme.  This time, though, it is a fun door hanger...check it out:
So for this fun project I used my cameo to cut the shape of the door hanger.  The Great Impressions stamps I used are:  D474S Happy Valentine (in melon mambo on the little tag) and A54S Hearts & Dots (in real red on the red heart).  My paper is old SU! designer series paper and that includes the heart on the outside.  As you can see in the photo there is just enough room in the pocket to add a little chocolate square for the recipient 'cuz really...who doesn't love chocolate?!

I also would love for you to come and join our monthly challenge.  If you use a stamp from the Great Impressions online store, please link it up in our Customer Gallery, too!
I'm also entering this in the following challenges:
C.R.A.F.T. Challenge - Not A Card
As You Like It Challenge - Show Us Your Style Your favorite paper or non-paper project...just about every project I make is a favorite because I only make things I'm totally in love with and don't show things I don't care for.  :)

More Handmade Christmas Gifts

Good morning!  I'm still working on showing some of the fun gifts I made for Christmas and am excited to show you the cups I made for the fabulous friends I volunteer with at Care Net.  The cups I bought at a group here on Facebook and the tags I made with a SU! tag kit - - I especially love the tags with the jingle bells!
I wish I had taken better photos but each cup (yes, they are those cute wine glass cups) has a name on it, some candy inside and a pretty tag on the outside.  I added the straws because I had them and I thought they were an adorable addition!

January Silhouette Challenges!

Happy New Year everyone!  I'm here today with my first post as a design team member with Silhouette Challenges blog!  What is the Silhouette Challenge blog?  Well, it is a wonderful place where you get to make a project with your favorite Silhouette machine and link it up to show it off! Fun,right?    Let me show you one of the fun items I made for Christmas with my Cameo.

These two cute money holders went to one of my nieces and nephews.  They were super simple and took no time at all yet they look fab!  Check out the paper I used inside...perfect, right?
Hope to see you all over at the challenge!

Treats for the neighbors...

Merry Christmas Eve everyone!  We have a ton a snow at our house...more than enough for me!   Will you have a white Christmas?
Today we are going to deliver some treats to the neighbors that I made.  This wonderful popcorn sleeve is from SVG Cutting files and includes the belly band and holly.  Kinda fun, right?  The little tag is a print and cut that I got from the Silhouette store.
I extend the wishes on the treats to you all!  Have a very Merry Christmas!

I'll be entering this into Creative Knockouts Challenge #121 - Christmas Delight

Welcome back to the PDE Linky Party!

It's another fun week for me to showcase the PDE Linky Party.  You know, even though it is the Christmas Season there are still birthdays and the like to celebrate and today's card is for one of those birthdays...my dads birthday.  I actually lost track of time and ended up starting a card way to late but I'm still super happy with how this turned out!

So I got the base and panels for this card from the Silhouette Store.  The file itself comes with full birthday decorations but I wanted to be able to use my Jaded Blossom Birthday Panel stamp set and die so I altered it a bit to work for me.
This is what I'd consider the front.  Since there is cake and ice cream on the card I thought this sentiment would go great.
The middle two panels.  I had fun coloring the ice cream though I do believe I was drooling by the end.
And the last panel.  You can't tell from the photo but I used Smooch moonlight on the frosting of the cupcake and the whipped cream of the ice cream sundae.  I also added Smooch illuminate on the candles to make them dance a little.

We wrote our note on the back of the card and put it in the mail right away.  I doubt it will be there on time as the weather in my area has been delaying all sorts of things...mail, UPS, you get the idea, but it is the thought that counts, right?

So, there you have it!  I hope you will join us this week over at the PDE Linky party where anything you create can go in the 'challenge'...just share with us your creations!

Gobble, Gobble Take Two!

Alright, today I get to show you what yesterday's turkeys were originally cut for but ended up being too small the first time.  We will be a small group this year for Thanksgiving so I thought why not treat place settings?
I made these with some really cute 4oz paper cups that I got at Annie's Paper Boutique (the only place I could find the cups in a smaller quantity plus they have the fabulous Trendy Twine!).  Though I didn't get a good photograph of it each of the cups is wrapped in a different patterned paper (I took apart one of the cups for a template).  The turkey was print and cut on my cameo (again, it made this super easy).
I used Jaded Blossom's Fall Dies for the cute name signs and, again, did a print and cut on my cameo to get the names just perfect.  A bunch of M&M's makes this a super yummy place setting!
And here is a close up of my place setting.  I think I'll add this into a couple of challenges:  Brown Sugar Challenges - Anything Goes, Die Cuttin' Divas - Thanksgiving, and Simon Says Stamps - Thanksgiving Challenge.

Are YOU ready for Thanksgiving?

Prayer Jar

Good morning friends!  I'm working on a super cutie Halloween card to share with you.  The creative process was interrupted yesterday so it isn't quite ready for reveal so I thought I'd share with you, instead, the prayer jar that I made.

When in Iowa as part of our summer road trip my step-grandma gave me a jar that she says was belong to my grandma (my beloved grandma).  While it was nothing special and who knows if it was actually hers I decided to 'do something with it' as all crafters do.  I asked around on a Silhouette Cameo group that I'm a part of and someone gave me the idea of a prayer jar.  A little more research and I found a file for both sides of the jar.  Without further ado...the jar...
This first side uses the scripture Romans 12:12 in gold vinyl.
And the other side is a silhouette praying girl.  I just love this side!

My prayer jar is designed to put pieces of paper inside so throughout the day I can either pull one or two or however many out and pray for that prayer request or I thought I could lay my hands on the jar a couple of times a day and prayer for all the needs written inside.  So far I have one prayer request which is pretty consistantly on my mind anyway so I look forward to having it full of things to talk with God about.

Well...here to a productive day today!  Have a wonderful Wednesday!

The Master

Hello!  I hope you have had a great week!  I've done some fun crafting this week making a couple of cards and things with vinyl.  On Monday my hubby and I will be married 14 years.  I've been contemplating making something with vinyl for the bathroom mirror and it just came to me yesterday what it should be...we joke around a lot at our house and one of the things we say is that my hubby is the "master of the universe" so I decided to play on that a bit and make this mirror decoration for his side of the mirror - -
I used my Cameo by just playing with the fonts in the software to get it the way I wanted.  I modeled it off the fonts from the old t.v. show "Masters of the Universe" (do you remember that show?).  I put the decal at the top of the mirror for two reasons...one, I wanted to make sure it was level and two, because I didn't want the decal to interfere with his reflection when he's shaving and such.  I really love how this came out and am super glad that I did it!

Hope you are having a crafty weekend!  See you next week!

The Un-Shower Gift

Our nephew is getting married this summer and there was a bridal shower for the bride that was hosted by my MIL and niece.  I was not invited.  I know...boo, right?!?  They live 1700 miles away but I would have sent a gift so...I'm sending a gift!  I purchased a HTV (heat transfer vinyl) starter kit from Expressions Vinyl sometime back  and in the kit was this canvas bag so I thought...why not?  The wedding's colors are turquoise and coral so I tried to follow that theme.  I succeeded with the turquoise but didn't have any coral so had to just go with turquoise.
Just the sentiment seemed a bit boring so I thought, why not and added a diamond ring too!  This will go out in the mail in the next couple of days.  Hopefully, the bride will have plenty of time to use it as they are getting married at the end of August.  By the way...the cut file came like that...with a HUGE diamond and who doesn't love a huge diamond, right?

My filofax creativity...

Just thought I'd share a little personal craftiness I did the other day.  I will warn you that it is not, by any stretch perfect, but since it is for my personal use I'm okay with it.  It was actually quite difficult to cut the script portion of the saying (for some reason) so I cut it a couple of times (okay, three times) and then decided this was going to have to be good enough.
I have a filofax planner and the first page (this one above) is called the dashboard...I'm not exactly sure why but it is.  My dashboard actually matches the outside of my of my planner (I should have shown you that too, sorry!).  I was just searching for filofax blogs and ran across one that had my exact planner on it and she had made a dashboard page and a couple of other dividers which she provided for free!  I was so excited but wanted to make it even more mine so I bought this saying from the Silhouette Store and proceeded to cut it and add it to my dashboard.
The kraft colored polka dot dividers are also personal to my planner...I cut those on my Cameo as well.  Again, the file for those dividers I found in the Silhouette store...99¢ for six...I think I'll use them a lot as I love to change things out and I get bored easily.  As silly as it is I purchased a new pencil to match my planner (so...do you think I like pink much...*wink, wink*) and I love how it writes and has a huge eraser but also came with more lead and erasers...yay!

So now you've been introduced to more of my crazy in my planner life!  Do you use a planner...paper or electronic?  What do you love about it?

Father's Day THIS Sunday!!

It's coming...are you ready?  I am!!  I finished up all three of my Father's Day cards yesterday.  Check 'em out!
The above card was made completely with cutting files on my Cameo.  Have I said I LOVE my new Cameo?  I would never have been able to get these cuts with my old Cricut (it was fine for simple things).  This card is for my FIL as my husband tells me his dad has a board just like this in his garage!!  The cut file is from the Cameo store so no link for you.
Above is the card for my dad.  I have lots of memories of my dad cooking for us on the grill so this is just perfect!  This image is from the Wild & Crazy Guys! set by Kraftin' Kimmies Stamps.  The card itself is a cut file from SVG Cutting Files which made putting this together super easy.  Oh!  And the 'dad' on the front is a freebie from Miss Kate Cuttables (best freebies ever on their Facebook group!).
And finally this one is for my 'other' FIL.  A man who took me on as a daughter years ago and puts up with me still!  This image is from the Wild & Crazy Guys! set as well, the layout is from SSSC and papers are super old Basic Grey papers.

I love each one of these for how well they capture the person they are going to.  So much fun and care was had making these!!  Do you have your cards ready to go?
