A few more cards for ya...

Thought I'd share the other Mother's Day cards I made.  This first one I made for our daughter-in-love.  It is her first official Mother's Day with William being not quite a year.  I really love how this flower pot came out! The flower pot cut file is from My Scrap Chick.
The bike card below was for my dad's wife, Eva.  Even though she can't ride her bike right now (after a bad fall and shoulder injury this winter) I know she loves to ride and that this would make her smile! The bike image and dies are from The Stamps of Life.
And finally a card for an in town special friend of mine who is an amazing example of what a Godly mother is supposed to be!  This image, sentiment, and paper is from Stampin' Up!
I really loved making all my Mother's Day cards and now I need to get started on Father's Day!!

You're Tweet!

Good morning!  I have been crafting lots recently just haven't taken photos of some of it yet or been able to get it blogged.  I'm working on some cards for a local children's store and want to get a few more made before I photograph them but they are looking cute!

Last night I needed to make a thank you card for our neighbor so I grabbed out the newest stamp club/die club set from The Stamps of Life called birdcage2stamp and got to work.  I knew I wanted to use a sketch so I decided on the sketch for the month from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  Thankfully you don't have to use one of their images to play along!  And this last week's Wonderful Wednesday is Anything Goes...yay!
The papers all come from a very old Taylored Expressions kit and I even used twine on my card which is Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps theme of the week!  I'll also be entering this into the Craft Your Passion Anything Goes Challenge.  Go me!
Inside the card I added some extra cardstock and a little bird from the TSOL set.  It's really cute and I'm excited to give it to my neighbor as a thank you card.

So, I'll be back at making some sample cards for the children's store today...well, after I order the corsage for my son's prom date!

Fun day ahead and I hope you have one too!

make a wish

Good morning friends!  Another day another fun card to show you!  My husband's grandma's birthday is next week so I wanted to make something special for her.  It was between this card and another (which I may still make the other card, too).  As this was coming together I did not love it but after I sponged it, highlighted it with some gel pen and had it all together I decided it is cute!  What do you think?

There isn't a really defined place to write but the blank back side of the cake/plate would be a great space with interfering with the cake design.

So, another question...if you were to purchase this card...how much would you pay for it?

hello, there!

Good morning!  I hope you are having a wonderful week!  I don't think I've said here that I have a senior that I "angel" which just means that I send her something weekly...a card, a little gift, whatever.  I've been off on my sending recently so I decided that I will make something each week to send to her the following week, that way I'm crafting and sending her fun cards and 'things'.  I saw this cute sun file over at SVG Cutting Files and just had to have it.  I thought it would be great to make a card for my senior so I went to work and here is the resulting card...
So cute, right?  Who wouldn't like getting this card in the mail?  The sentiment I used on this card is from The Stamps of Life set Hello set.  That set is seriously a set I've been trying to find for a long time.  Lot's of times I want a 'hello' sentiment and just didn't have anything until now.  FUN!!

I saw that Kraftin' Kimmies has an anything goes challenge each month so I think I'll enter this card there.

Okay, I need to go change so I can get to Jazzercise on time!  Have a wonderful day everyone!

Keep your balance...

I had a little creating time this cloudy and rainy Sunday so I decided to play with a new stamp/die set from The Stamps Of Life called bicycle2stamp and use the Sweet Sunday Sketch for this week.  What a great combination these two ended up being!!  A friend was recently diagnosed with breast cancer so I wanted to make her a card.  I believe I would be feeling off balance in life so I thought this sentiment would work well.

I put a little basket with just a couple of flowers in it inside the card.  I also used some pearls for the center of the flowers...I really like the 'pretty' that it adds.  I used papers from a TE kit that I've had forever and honestly, it makes it so much easier to match everything all up!

I hope you love this as much as I do!  Have a wonderful day!

It's almost birthday time...

Hello all!  It is almost time for a birthday in my family so I had to make a card...obviously!  Hopefully he won't read this blog post but this card is for my middle son, Jon.  He is going to be...wait for it...23 on Feb 27th.  Crazy, right?  I know!  Since he doesn't live in the same town as us anymore I needed to get my card done early (early for me at least) so I could get it in the mail and get it to him on time.

As any boy in his 20's does my son loves pizza and soda, Mtn Dew to be specific so I made my soda can in Mt. Dew colors (thought I'm not sure that is entirely clear that is what I was trying to do) and added a couple of hearts 'cuz we love him sooooo much!  I noticed the the 'birthday' letters are a bit crooked so I guess I should have made them wonky on purpose...lol!  Eh, either way I think he'll like this!  The pizza, soda and hearts svg files are from SVG Cutting Files and the happy birthday I just found on my computer.  I use AC Cardstock when I cut files like this on my Cricut with SCAL2.

Inside I just stamp somed candles and a 'Make a Wish!' sentiment.  I think this card is definitely good to go out in the mail tomorrow!  Yay!

A couple of our friends/acquaintances have had losses so I'll be making a few more sympathy cards here in the next couple of days, too.

I hope you have had a great weekend!  Remember to follow my blog to get notifications of when I post and I love your comments too!

Don't Worry....

Happy Friday!  Ready for Valentine's Day?  I think I am!  Before I show you that tomorrow, though, I'm sharing a card I made with The Stamps of Life monthly stamp set.  Do you love kitties, then this is sure to be a fav!
This one is pretty simple but super cute with the kitty sitting there smiling at ya!  I went with the same paper that I was telling you about yesterday only a more fun (and maybe a little psychedelic) patterned paper this time!

Not much more for ya today but I hope you have a wonderful Friday and I'll see ya tomorrow!

Thank you!

Good morning friends!  Have you ever been driving down the road thinking about a card that you need to make and Bam! right then and there you have an idea for it?  Well, that happened to me today.  I knew I wanted to make a thank you card, I knew I wanted to use the Bee Stamps of Life set and I knew I wanted to use the stair step card die...from there it was pretty open.  What happened after I got home will amaze you!  (hahaha...have you seen that type of phrasing on Facebook?  Too funny!)

I had originally planned to have bees flying around instead of flowers but that just didn't work and the flowers give me a spot for the thank you.  The flowers are also inspired by the front of the stair step card die envelope.  I honestly love this card and it will be very tough giving it away.  All the papers are from an old TE kit.

Seriously...I love this card!  Hope you are having a wonderful week!

Life is like a camera...

Focus on what's important & you'll capture it perfectly.  Isn't that sentiment just wonderful?  It fits in perfectly with my Word for the year too (intentional)!

I was feeling super sunny and a bit retro when I made this card, I guess.  I do love it though as it makes me smile!  This time I decorated the inside a little bit, too.  I feel like that relieves a little pressure on what to write and how much plus...it just looks great!  I know exactly who this card is going to and I know she will love it!  She is always so selfless and is a person to try aspire towards.

Oh, I forgot to tell you...this card is made with The Stamps of Life camera2stamp set and, of course, the dies that match.  I used an old Sweet Sunday sketch and some retired SU! paper to bring it all together.

Well, that is it for today!  I hope you have a wonderful day today!  I get to spend some time with my grandson so I know it will be wonderful!  :)

The key to a great day...

...is a happy heart.

Not only does is that sentiment totally true but it makes a super cute card when combined with the dies from the heartlocket2love set from The Stamps of Life.

I really wanted this card to be a fun, happy one and I think these papers did it perfectly.  I did not decorate the inside of the card as I want to write a little letter (so to speak) to the senior that I angel.

Tomorrow the February Stamp of Life stamp of the month is revealed and I'm so excited because not only am I a stamp of the month member but also a die club member which means I get the matching dies with the stamp set!  Yay!  Wanna check it out..go here.  (Oh, oh, oh!  I just went to TSOL website...the new monthly stamp set is up and available to view!  Please get here soon set/dies...I have the perfect person to send a card to using that set!! Go check it out!!)

Alright, I hope to be back soon with more cards and scrapbook pages to share!  Have a wonderful day!

Thank Whoooo...

Hello!   I'm back once again to share a little project I made yesterday. You may or may not know that I am an Origami Owl Designer. We have a great hostess program but sometimes I like to give my hosts an extra little something so while making some other fun projects (I'll show you those soon) I made these fun treat thank yous for my December hosts.

I started with the SU! Simply Created kit.  It came with the die cut tags, the red stripe sticker, the bag, and the baker's twine that closes the bag.  I just added a sentiment and owl from a The Stamps of Life kit.  In the bag is just a few Hershey's Kisses.   I hope they will like them!

Thanks for stopping by!  I'm headed into my craft room today so I hope to have more to share soon!

A Card Swap Hop!!

Good morning!

I'm here today with a bit of fun!
A few weeks ago, seven of us decided we would do a Christmas/Winter card swap.
It was so much fun to see the different cards come in, that we decided to take it one step
further, and do a blog hop with our swap cards!

This is just for fun...no prizes, but we hope that you are inspired by something
that you see today!

Here is my swap card:

For my card I used the snowman2build set from The Stamps of Life.  It was one of the sets for Die Hard members and I just love that it comes with several additional dies to make your snowman super fun!  For the base of the card I used Basic Step-Ups die also from The Stamps of Life...this die makes it SO easy to make step up cards and also has tons of extra pieces including all the layering pieces, again love that it makes card making so fun.  For the paper and die cut snowflakes I used an old Stampin' Up! Simply Scrappin' kit called Winter Bright...it's perfect, huh?  I just thought this card would be a fun one to send to a friend this winter to let them know they are being thought of.  :)

Now, you can hop along with us, and see what the other folks created!

I do have a couple of more projects I'll be sharing over the next week so I hope you'll subscribe to my blog or come back to check it out!  Just a hint...I simple gift card holder is up next on the blog...tomorrow!
