January Silhouette Challenges!

Happy New Year everyone!  I'm here today with my first post as a design team member with Silhouette Challenges blog!  What is the Silhouette Challenge blog?  Well, it is a wonderful place where you get to make a project with your favorite Silhouette machine and link it up to show it off! Fun,right?    Let me show you one of the fun items I made for Christmas with my Cameo.

These two cute money holders went to one of my nieces and nephews.  They were super simple and took no time at all yet they look fab!  Check out the paper I used inside...perfect, right?
Hope to see you all over at the challenge!

Furry Christmas

Good morning!  I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!  Mine was truly a day filled with fun, family, and friends!  It was so much fun having our grandson here and watching him interact with everyone and everything...truly a miracle on legs! I apologize for being gone so long...first Christmas and now I have a head cold which is getting better...yay!

I thought I'd share a fun card I made for Christmas with you guys.  As you may know I volunteer at my local Care Net Pregnancy Center and next door to us is a comic book shop.  The owner of the shop has a Pug, Modo, that goes everywhere with him and so we wanted to give the owner a little gift and I wanted to make him this card:
Uh, huh...go ahead and say it...that is so cute!  I agree!  I was so pleased with how this turned out!  The pug is a file from SVG Cutting Files and I used the following products from Jaded Blossom:  Season's Tweetings, Card Mat Dies, Dimensional Banner Dies, and the Scallop Slider & Topper Die.  The patterned paper is from Doodlebug Designs.

I'm going to link this up to Hiding In My Craft Room's challenge which is Freestyle.

Treats for the neighbors...

Merry Christmas Eve everyone!  We have a ton a snow at our house...more than enough for me!   Will you have a white Christmas?
Today we are going to deliver some treats to the neighbors that I made.  This wonderful popcorn sleeve is from SVG Cutting files and includes the belly band and holly.  Kinda fun, right?  The little tag is a print and cut that I got from the Silhouette store.
I extend the wishes on the treats to you all!  Have a very Merry Christmas!

Wuv...tru wuv...

Happy Tuesday before Christmas to ya!  Today I'm sharing with you the card I made for my hubby for Christmas.  The cute gingerbread people are from the Cute Little Ginger Couple file over at Too Cute By Jessica.  I love how the little ginger couple matches the paper so well! did you notice how the ginger couple has their arms around each others waist?  CaUTE!!
This is probably the most Christmas-y card I made this year with the traditional red and green colors.  The patterned papers are from Doodle Bug Designs, the borders are border dies from Jaded Blossom, and I used this week's (and sadly the last) sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketch.  I really love this card and I can't wait to give it to my hubby!  I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Looks Like Christmas Around Here!

A few weeks ago I showed you my coffee center...do you remember?  HERE you go if you need your memory refreshed.  Anyway...I got some new additions to my coffee center so I thought I'd share!
The first thing I added would be these super cute stacking cups!  I found them at Papyrus online at 30% off so I knew I had to get them (and hubby agreed)!  They are quite large and so fun!
Once a week I volunteer at my local pregnancy resource center and have done that for the last almost seven years.  As you can imagine I've become good friends with the ladies that I work with and on Thursday I received this completely amazing gift from my sweet friend Cheryl.
Included in this incredible gift is Ghirardelli mint chocolates (have I ever mentioned that I LOVE mint?), Starbucks hot chocolate and peppermint schnappes!!!  YUM!!
And, of course, she included this incredible mug!  I can't explain how perfect it is...the perfect size, the perfect shape and from a wonderful person!  Thank you SO much Cheryl!

I hope you like this little look into my life and I'll see you again soon!

Quick, easy and cute? Yep!

Love quick, easy, and cute gifts?  Here's one for you!  All it took was a tube for the candy, two sheets of paper (which, of course, I did not use all of), the Christmas Luggage Tag from Jaded Blossom, twine and a piece of double sided tape (to hold that twine in place).  Add the candy of your choice and you are done!
This literally took me less then 15 minutes!  Who can you think of that might love one of these?

Welcome back to the PDE Linky Party!

It's another fun week for me to showcase the PDE Linky Party.  You know, even though it is the Christmas Season there are still birthdays and the like to celebrate and today's card is for one of those birthdays...my dads birthday.  I actually lost track of time and ended up starting a card way to late but I'm still super happy with how this turned out!

So I got the base and panels for this card from the Silhouette Store.  The file itself comes with full birthday decorations but I wanted to be able to use my Jaded Blossom Birthday Panel stamp set and die so I altered it a bit to work for me.
This is what I'd consider the front.  Since there is cake and ice cream on the card I thought this sentiment would go great.
The middle two panels.  I had fun coloring the ice cream though I do believe I was drooling by the end.
And the last panel.  You can't tell from the photo but I used Smooch moonlight on the frosting of the cupcake and the whipped cream of the ice cream sundae.  I also added Smooch illuminate on the candles to make them dance a little.

We wrote our note on the back of the card and put it in the mail right away.  I doubt it will be there on time as the weather in my area has been delaying all sorts of things...mail, UPS, you get the idea, but it is the thought that counts, right?

So, there you have it!  I hope you will join us this week over at the PDE Linky party where anything you create can go in the 'challenge'...just share with us your creations!

Pretty paper...

It is that time of year again where we get to give to our family and friends.  I especially love to make gifts look pretty and then see their expression upon opening the gift!  A couple of people I worked with for many years are very good friends of mine (you know...the kind where you hop up on the counter and get their opinion on kids, husbands, food...all that good stuff!) and we have Christmas lunch each year together.  We are also all quite crafty so it is fun to see what we will do for each other.  This years gift for them isn't so much hand made but I made sure I did a little something with the packaging...

I chose a couple of pretty papers from my Christmas stash, used my SU! Gift Box Punch Board to make boxes for their gifts.  The box size is 3 ¼" x 3 ¼" x 3 ¼". Some pretty bows on top with twine from Trendy Twine and I called it good.  I used four strands of twine for each box and tied them in a simple bow so that the twine could be taken off and used again!  (sneaky gift, huh?)

I'm pretty sure my friends will love the gifts inside so I can't wait until lunch to see if I'm correct!

Toast and Jam

Well, good Monday morning friends!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend!  We are just speeding closer and closer to the magical day aren't we?  Are you getting everything done that you want to?  If not...do not stress about it, it is okay to let something(s) go!

Today I'm sharing another fun card made with with a cut file from Too Cute By Jessica.  I love to make love cards so here is another I made for my hubby.  The cut file is called We Go Together and has several fun 'matching' objects.  For this card I used peanut butter and jam files.
I used some paper that I have had in my stash forever to make this card and tried not to make it too girlie...I think it works!

Don't forget we at Too Cute by Jessica have a fun winter challenge over at the TCBJ blog for you to enter.  I hope you'll go check it out and join in on the fun!

Cute Christmas Gift Idea!

Good morning!  Crazy  how time flies when you are looking forward to things, right?  Christmas, time with my family, all the good stuff December brings!  Today I'm here to show you some fun EOS holders I made.  Being that Kyler is in high school now I have let him decide if he wants me to do anything for his teachers...sometimes its a yes, sometimes it is a no...I even let him chose which teachers but this year he wanted something for all his teachers so I presented him with some ideas and he chose these EOS holders for the female teachers (three of them).

One of these Santa's I've already give as a gift for a gift exchange but my son will get to chose which teachers get the snowmen and which get the Santa.  Aren't these just the most fun?!  Some patterned paper and embossing folders pump up the cuteness level for sure!
Mr. Frosty here got some black twine and a couple of frosty sequins from the Frosty Sequins mix at Annie's Paper Boutique which is where you get the Trendy Twine that is used here.  The EOS cut files are at SVG Cutting Files and truly make a fun, and easy, gift!

I'll be entering my cuties in the following linkys/challenges:

Not Just Cards - Anything Goes
Creative Cards Crew - Holiday Season
Hiding In My Craft Room - Christmas Colors
As You See It - Santa Claus

Have a wonderful Friday friends!  I'll be back on Monday!

Love You Watts

Happy Monday everyone!  How was your weekend?  Did you get a lot done?  I've been in my Croffice a lot recently and I'm here to show you a fun card I made with a Too Cute By Jessica file called I Love You Watts.
I'm sure you could never guess who this card might be for!  LOL!  My hubby and I are going away for a couple of days and I like to have a card for him for each of the days that we are gone and this is card #1...two more to go!
Then inside I stamped this little light bulb and sentiment...then I thought maybe I should have told him a like him a lot before suggesting the other...heeheehee!!

Don't forget about the Too Cute By Jessica challenge for this month.  Just design a card with a winter theme and link it up the the blog HERE!

Guest Designer for Jaded Blossom

I am SO excited to be a Guest Designer for Jaded Blossom today!  I took advantage of this wonderful timing to make my step-daughters gifts pretty for Christmas this year.  We do mail to her and I'm so thrilled to be ahead of the game this year!  One little thing to tell you before we move on is that I've used papers from the same paper pack for these projects...an older retired SU! paper pack (isn't it adorable?).  All stamps and dies (minus the bear) are from Jaded Blossom.  Without further ado, my projects:

One gift that we get her every year is a gift card.  Being that she lives about 4 hours from us I think it is just better for her to be able to pick something she really wants and we encourage her to purchase something she would not normally purchase for herself...last year she got a beautiful Coach bag!.  With that in mind I was super excited to use the new Folded Gift Card Die.  Above is the outside of the gift card holder.  I gussied it up with a cute bear and coffee cup as well as a sentiment from the Season's Tweetings set.
Inside this gift card holder is made special by using the template from the Fun Money set as well as a sentiment from the Gift Cards Galore set.  The gift card itself is nestled into the holder with the Gift Card Die (which, by the way I put at an angle on purpose).
In addition to the gift card (and another gift that will go unnamed just in case she reads this, though I doubt it) we got her some warm, comfy, plush socks to wear inside this winter.  I made the belly band by just using a length of the pattered paper and gluing it together in the back.  On top are circles from the Scalloped Circle and Stitched Circle Dies.  The CaUTE sentiment is from the Holiday Pampering set.
And finally I made a card to put into the box.  This card uses a bunch of Jaded Blossom as well!  I've used the Christmas Luggage Tag for the main sentiment which I cut with the Scalloped Circle and Stitched Circle Dies, the tree border and holly elements are made with the Christmas Dies.

And there you have it!  I think she is going to LOVE this set and I cannot wait for her to open it!  Thank you to Candace and Michelle for having me today..I really had fun putting all of this together!
