Another first...

I'm excited to tell you about another first here on my blog.  Today marks my first day of posting on behalf of the Too Cute By Jessica SVG Design Team!!  I'm sure you can tell how much I love SVG's in my crafting so when I was asked to come aboard their team I just had to say yes!  I hope you enjoy my first project that I made for the Winter challenge.  I made with the super cute file called Let It Snow SnowGlobe.  This card is for my husband's grandma as he has made it a tradition to get her a snow globe every year for Christmas (and the tradition continues this year) so I thought a fun snow globe card would be in order....take a gander....

It's a first...

A first post for the PDE Linky Party at least!!  Not long ago I was perusing my favorite blogs when I noticed that PDE Linky Party was looking for some new design team members so I applied and they accepted me...fun!

What's super fun about the PDE Linky Party is that it is always Anything Goes!!  I mean you are creating anyway so you might as well link it up so we can ALL enjoy what you are creating!  This week I'm sharing a project my hubby and I made for our grandson.  It is a felt wall Christamas tree with felt ornaments!!  Now, he is only about 18 months old (will be on Dec 6th at least) and he hasn't shown much interest in it yet but I know over the next several years he'll think it is really neat to have his own tree!!

My hubby cut the tree out of the green felt and the trunk out of brown felt and I made the presents, star, and ornaments.  I made some with die and some with templates (just printed them from google) then I glued some of the pieces together with hot glue and wahlah...a cute felt tree just for William!  In future years I hope to have him help make some additional ornaments for the tree, too!

Christmas Treats Bear and my Coffee Center

Good morning!  I can hardly believe today is the day before Thanksgiving!  Time to check the recipes, make sure I have everything and figure the cooking schedule out, huh?  On Facebook I belong to a group Coffee Loving Papercrafters.  Yes, it is everything coffee, tea, cocoa and papercrafts.  A couple of weeks ago we posted photos of our coffee centers and I noticed that some people had some lovely wall art by their coffee center and I thought to myself...Lorie, you can make something to go on the wall by your Keurig center so...I did.  And here it is:

 Say hello to Christmas Treats Bear.  I purchased this file from KaDoodle Bug Designs forever ago and just knew she would be adorable for my coffee center.  She is almost 8"x8" in size and is just the cutest thing, don't you agree?  All paper used on this project is from AC Cardstock which is my favorite for paper piecing projects. 

And here is a photo of my Keurig center with Christmas Bear on the wall.  I know it isn't much but it sure makes me happy.  I'm sure over time I will refine what I want to put on the wall back there but for now I think she is adorable!  As a side note...that piece of wood there?  My son made that for me in his shop class a few years ago so I though it a perfect addition!

What does the fox say?

This fox says...CaUTE!  Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps owner Kim had a live card making session on Periscope yesterday and I just had to join in so I purchased the stamp (which I wanted anyway) and even the card kit and made my card along with Kim!  It was really fun to make a card without really having to thank any of the details out!  And now for your viewing enjoyment...the fox says...awww....

I used to be super intimidated by KKS and her design team because their coloring is off the hook but I have found the more I use them the better my coloring becomes and I'm not so intimidated to color their stamps.  Why am I telling you this?  Because...I don't want you to be intimidated in your crafting, just give new things a try and you may be surprised!!

Gobble, Gobble Take Two!

Alright, today I get to show you what yesterday's turkeys were originally cut for but ended up being too small the first time.  We will be a small group this year for Thanksgiving so I thought why not treat place settings? 

 I made these with some really cute 4oz paper cups that I got at Annie's Paper Boutique (the only place I could find the cups in a smaller quantity plus they have the fabulous Trendy Twine!).  Though I didn't get a good photograph of it each of the cups is wrapped in a different patterned paper (I took apart one of the cups for a template).  The turkey was print and cut on my cameo (again, it made this super easy).

 I used Jaded Blossom's Fall Dies for the cute name signs and, again, did a print and cut on my cameo to get the names just perfect.  A bunch of M&M's makes this a super yummy place setting!

Are YOU ready for Thanksgiving?

Gobble, Gobble!

Don't you just love love it when you make a mistake and it actually turns out to be a good thing?  Well, I was working on some table settings for my Thanksgiving table and I made my turkeys too small so I had to start over and I thought...hmm...wonder if I could make these into some super cute Thanksgiving cards to send out?  Guess what?  I did!  And it only took me two hours to make all four cards!  Check 'em out!

So a little explanation of what I did and used.  First, the turkeys are a print and cut that I got from the Silhouette store (they are on sale right now!) that I cut on my Cameo (side note...I love how easy print and cut is, I think I'll be using it more often!).  The sentiment images is from Jaded Blossom's Holiday Treat Tags and is stamped on and then layered with the Treat Tag Die, again from Jaded Blossom.  With all this Jaded Blossom being used I'm going to enter these cards in their monthly challenge which is Thanksgiving this month.  I also got this super cute paper from Jaded Blossom which is by Doodlebug Designs and is called fall friends.  The twine is Trendy Twine's Spiced Pumpkin and the cardstock is from SU!

Now on the inside of all the cards I just put a piece of cardstock to write on and the pumpkin 'tape' from Autumn Designer Tapes from...yep, Jaded Blossom.  Almost all edges are inked with complimentary colors to the papers.  Also, these cards are 4 ¼" x 4 ¼" as I thought the images would look best on that size card.

See?  A happy mistake!  Love it!

Wintery Birthday

It's birthday time in my family again, this time it's my sister-in-laws birthday and it is the day after Thanksgiving this year so I  have to make sure to get it in the mail on time!  I decided I needed to use this super cute Felicity image from Stamp AnnieThing.  This image was released last month and has been looking at me wanting me to use it...so I did!

 

I think this card looks very wintery (and maybe not so much like a birthday card but the sentiment inside is definitely birthday) and that is kinda on purpose as my SIL hates winter (but they live in WI, lol!).  I used paper from the SU! pack called Fresh Prints which I'm sure is retired now but I just love those colors! I used dies from the Card Mat Dies set, Winter Die set and the Flag set, all from Jaded Blossom.  I also cut out the offset on which to stamp Felicity on my Cameo...Stamp AnnieThing provides those SVG files for free which is wonderful!  This layout is the sketch from Sketch Saturday for this week so I'll be entering it there as well as the Craftin' Desert Diva's Make It Sparkle linky challenge...Felicity's skirt, scarf and even the frap cream has sparkle on it as well as the ice paper and the paper behind Felicity (it looks really pretty in real life), the Love To Scrap Challenge Blog which is anything goes this time, Craft Your Passion is anything goes, and I think I'll show it off at my own PDE Linky Party this week too!

Fan For Life (weeeelll not me...)

Happy Friday all!  This week just FLEW right by!  A couple of weeks ago I purchased a couple of Seahawk's themed stamps (yes, it almost killed me as I am definitely not a Seahawk's fan).  I had a few moments this morning so I decided to make up a little box to gauge interest in them locally.  I gotta tell ya I think this box is pretty awesome!

I got the box itself from Jaded Blossom.  It is approximately 4.5x6x1.  I bought the stamp I used on the box as well as the stamp shown and the green paper at a local (about 35 minutes away actually) stamp store.  I also bought a blue and green combo colorbox stamp pad that matches the 'hawks team colors.  I cut the die hard fan image out with Jaded Blossom's stitched circle dies.  The green cardstock is embossed with stars from a sizzix embossing folder and I got the football player silhouette on etsy.  I gotta tell ya...I think this came together really well especially for crafting it at about 6:30 am!

Tomorrow I will be preparing for my Moment For Mission about Shared Hope International at my church tomorrow as well as finally making some table decorations for my Thanksgiving table.  I'll be happy to get that done!

I reckin'...

Hello and happy Saturday all!  It has been a cloudy, sometimes rainy day here which as been perfect to work on some crafting in my Croffice!  My question for you...have you ever made something that you just love and can't wait to share?  Well, today is one of those days for me!  I made this card for a friend's birthday and I love it so much I want to share it with you right away!

I used Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Book Pal set for this card, colored with Copics and then put together this card with fun papers from a super old (like more than four years old) TE paper kit (I love that have several of these still hanging around!).  The friend that this card is for is a sewer and quilter extraordinaire so I went with the thread bobbins at the top and added some fun coordinating papers and embellishments including some fabulous twine from Trendy Twine that I just got (it is seriously pretty...two colors of brown and white in that twist).  The die cuts are with dies from the Jaded Blossom die set called Border Dies.  I'll be entering this is the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #305 which is to use Twine and also to Kraftin' Kimmie Wonderful Wednesday Challenge which is anything goes and they post a sketch you can use if you want which is what I used for this card. 

So???  Isn't this just a seriously cute card?  I cannot wait to give it to the birthday girl!

Red Nosed And Ready To Go

Good morning friends!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend!  I did...I didn't have a lot planned so I got to finished up a Christmas set I was working on for an auction donation...yay!

All of these files are SVG's from My Scrap Chick. (MSC is having a big sale right now...you might want to check it out!)  I started collecting (LOL!) MSC files quite some time ago and didn't use them a lot so when I was going through them I noticed a theme...Christmas!!  I just picked these projects so they semi-matched and got started.  The card on the left is 4x4 and says Holly-Days!, Then the Santa Boot, HoHoHo Gift Card Holder, Rudolph Box and Rudolph Card.  All of the paper except the patterned and the red paper is from AC Cardstock and the patterned/red paper is from SU! And, yep...my store had a HUGE aisle of Christmas candy!  I must hide what is left so I don't consume it all!!  The Santa Boot required some patience but I got it and I love how it all turned out.

I'm going to add this to a couple of challenges...Craft Your Passion Challenges is Anything Goes this week, Crazy 4 Challenges is doing a Christmas Challenge, and another Anything Goes from the PDE Linky Party!
